**About Kalvin:**Thank you for your interest in adopting Kalvin! Please note that Kalvin is an international rescue from Taiwan. Upon approval of your application, you will need to pick him up from an airport, such as SFO, SEA, JFK, LAX, ONT, IAH, or YVR. Don't worry; international adoption isn't a complicated process, and we've been doing it successfully for many years. We'd be more than happy to explain how it works. Kalvin's Rescue Story: Kalvin was only one month old when he was found abandoned in a shelter. He was all alone in his cage without his mother or other dogs to keep him company. His skin was plagued by disease, and he was completely bald. The rescuer couldn't bear to see him suffer, so they rescued Kalvin and made it their priority to treat his skin condition and find him a loving forever home.  His coat is back to normal and he is given a clean bill of health by his veterinarian.  About Kalvin: Despite his initial rough appearance, Kalvin has a gentle and kind personality. He never bites people or other dogs and takes time to explore new environments and strangers. Having another dog by his side helps him feel bold and courageous. Treats are helpful in getting him to warm up to strangers more quickly, and he enjoys having his back vigorously massaged by those he trusts. Kalvin is cautious around those he doesn't know well, indicating he may have experienced abuse in the past. However, once he is comfortable with someone, he shows enthusiasm and affection. He is passionate and gentle by nature and loves playing with other dogs. Kalvin truly deserves a forever home where he can be cherished and cared for. If you're interested in learning more about Kalvin, please don't hesitate to contact us for more information or simply fill out the adoption form on our website. Please note that Kalvin is still in Taiwan, so prospective adopters will need to go through our international adoption process. Kalvin is ready to find his forever home and become a loving addition to a caring family. Apply here https://lifeofhopefoundation.org/adoption-application/

**About Rose:** Rose is an international rescue all the way from South Korean. While "international adoption" might sound like a major undertaking, we have years of experience streamlining this process to make it as smooth as possible. We’ll be right by your side to explain every step! The Journey Home Once your application is approved, the final step of Rose’s journey begins. Adopters are responsible for picking her up directly from a major international airport. Common arrival hubs include: West Coast: SFO, SEA, LAX. East Coast & Central: JFK, IAH Personality: Rose is a very lively, social, and gentle dog. She loves food and is not picky at all, which helps her bond quickly with people. She is friendly with everyone regardless of age or gender and approaches both children and adults with enthusiasm. When she gets very excited or wants something, she may jump high. She has improved a lot with training and does not jump on her foster caregiver, but she may still try with new people, so continued guidance will be helpful. She is very friendly with other dogs and plays well with them. She has good manners and even lies down and waits if another dog does not want to play. She also plays well on her own and happily shares toys without any guarding behavior. She rarely barks and does not show destructive behavior. Social & Environment: Rose loves outdoor activities and enjoys running. She is comfortable in various environments such as parks, mountains, beaches, and city areas. (She enjoys the beach but does not swim.) She may briefly chase fast-moving things like butterflies, leaves, or flying objects, so some attention is needed during walks. She can be sensitive to loud noises or unfamiliar large objects (such as at the vet), and in those situations she may become timid or try to move away. Experience with Children: She has briefly interacted with a 3-year-old child and has met elementary school children. She may show slight caution at first but warms up quickly. Experience with Cats: She has seen cats during walks and may try to chase them out of curiosity. With guidance and redirection, she loses interest. Car Rides: She does well in the car. She usually sits calmly while looking outside or plays with chew toys. Potty Training: 100% outdoor potty trained. Follows a consistent routine (twice daily: morning and evening) She tries to hold it if needed, so maintaining a routine is important. When Left Alone: She entertains herself well by playing with toys or chewing on safe items. She rarely barks. Resource Guarding: No guarding behavior. She shares well and waits patiently. Occasionally, if she wants to enjoy something alone, she simply walks away with it rather than showing aggression. Leash & Walking: Rose walks at least two hours a day and loves walks very much. She enjoys exploring, sniffing, and especially running in open spaces like fields or beaches. She may pull at the beginning of walks due to excitement but responds to correction and tries to control herself. She understands leash routines well — she sits and waits to be leashed and also waits calmly after walks before entering the house. Commands Learned: Sit Wait Come Mealtime cue (“Mamma”) Paw House No Kiss

**About Jamie:** Jamie is an international rescue all the way from Taiwan. While "international adoption" might sound like a major undertaking, we have years of experience streamlining this process to make it as smooth as possible. We’ll be right by your side to explain every step! The Journey Home Once your application is approved, the final step of Jamie’s journey begins. Adopters are responsible for picking her up directly from a major international airport. Common arrival hubs include: West Coast: SFO, SEA, LAX, YVR. East Coast & Central: JFK, IAH Meet Jamie: The Wiggle-Hip Wonder! Jamie is a gentle soul who truly blossoms once she knows she’s safe. While she might start off a little shy, her "second impression" is unforgettable—once she recognizes you, she transforms into a bundle of joy, greeting you with a wagging tail and her signature "hip wiggle" dance. 🏠 Home Life & Manners Home Alone: Jamie is a dream when left alone. she does not suffer from separation anxiety and is not destructive. The Kitchen Rule: Because Jamie is a big fan of food, she’s a bit of an "aspiring snack thief." It’s important to keep counters clear and store dog-unfriendly foods (like chocolate) securely out of reach. Sleeping Habits: She is very adaptable! She is happy on a sofa, a floor mat, or an elevated bed. In her current foster home, she is successfully crate-trained for naps and bedtime. While she might try to sneak onto the big bed for morning cuddles, she is very obedient and will hop down if asked. Potty Training: Jamie is a pro at going potty outdoors. She is currently a "blank slate" regarding indoor pee pads, so she’ll do best with a family that can maintain her outdoor routine. 🍖 Food & Training People-Friendly: Jamie has zero food guarding with humans—you can even take a treat right from her mouth. Dog-Friendly: She eats peacefully around other dogs as long as everyone has their own space and bowl. Treat Tip: Jamie gets very enthusiastic about snacks! Because she can be a little "impatient" when taking treats from fingers, we recommend feeding her from an open palm or giving her a gentle "easy" reminder. 🚶 Walks & Adventures On the Leash: Jamie loves her walks. She gets so excited that she might try to beat you out the door! We recommend putting your shoes on before grabbing the leash. Once she settles into her pace, she is a steady walker and isn't bothered by squirrels, birds, or cats. Car Rides: She is an excellent passenger—no carsickness here! Water Fun: Jamie is very cooperative during baths and is unfazed by the sound of a hair dryer. She may try to pull her paws away during nail trims, but with a slow, patient hand, she does just fine. 🐕 Social Butterfly (On Her Own Terms) With Dogs: Jamie gets along well with other pups but prefers a "polite hello" (sniffing) over an immediate "puppy tackle." If a dog is too high-energy right away, she’ll give a small bark to set a boundary and then simply walk away. With People: She is a friend to everyone—men, women, children, and seniors alike. First Introductions: To win Jamie over, start low and slow. Instead of a big, enthusiastic approach, crouch down and let her come to you. Start with head pats, and before you know it, she’ll be leaning against your legs for more. 💪 Bravery Note Jamie is remarkably brave when it comes to loud noises. While most dogs hide from fireworks or loud "pops" (like a bug zapper), Jamie doesn’t bat an eye. She is one cool, collected girl! Is Jamie the missing piece to your family? If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and wiggle-prone companion, Jamie is ready to meet you!

We would be happy to explain to you how the process works. - Personality: He is very energetic and easygoing. He is not sensitive or nervous. He may be a little shy when meeting new people at first, but he warms up quickly. He wants to greet other dogs and has a bright, friendly personality that allows him to get along well with anyone at dog parks. - with kid: He may be a little shy at first, but with time he gets along well with people, including children. - with cats: When he sees cats during walks, he tilts his head and looks at them. Because he is still young, he does not show much reaction toward cats. - car rides: He rides in the car very well. Since he has been riding since he was young, he has no problems at all. - potty training: He goes poop outdoors. He pees both indoors and outdoors, and when indoors, he uses pee pads only. **About Koda:** Thank you for interested in adopting Koda. Please know that Koda is an international rescue through South Korea. When your application is approved, you will need to pick him up from the airport - such as SFO, SEA, JFK, LAX, IAH, etc. International adoption is not a complicated process and we‘ve done the process many years. We would be happy to explain to you how the process works. Personality: Koda is cheerful and energetic. He can be a bit competitive with dogs at a similar energy level but is gentle with older dogs. While he has built a strong bond with his foster, he can be wary of strangers. He should not be let off-leash as he avoids capture or close contact without it. He is generally cautious in new situations but shows resilience and adapts well over time. Koda does well with both children and adults. He may be nervous at first, but after 4–5 days he warms up and becomes affectionate. He has a tendency to chase stray cats, so living with cats may not be suitable. Car Rides: Travels well in the car without issues. Housebreaking: Prefers outdoor potty. Alone Time: May whine a little and bark at outside noises, but settles down. Leash & Walks: Currently in leash training. He may try to run after birds or small animals, so caution is needed. Coming from a street life, he is wary of cars and waits for them to pass even from a distance. - Koda is shy at first, but adapts quickly and shows strong affection once trust is built. - Shows some “one-person dog” tendencies, bonding closely with the foster. - Naturally energetic and active due to his young age, but he has good self-control. Koda is ready to find his forever loving home. If you’re interested in him, please feel free to reach out to us anytime!
