We must have an application to move forward.
Cinder (aka Cinderella) Cinder is 25#...estimated DOB is 9/26/24 (a little over 1 yr). We think she has a mixture of breeds. My app on my phone scans the image and comes up with a breed … it came up with the Canaan Dog, the Jindu, and the Akita Inu. (only a DNA test would tell). The app was not able to take into account her size. These breeds mentioned are definitely medium to large dogs. Cender is barely 25#s. Whoever had her as a newborn had her tail cropped which is common to do to the Fox Terrier, American Cattle Dog, and several other breeds. Whatever the mix is, it made one incredibly cute and sweet dog.
CINDER is waiting to be somebody’s baby with her soft cream coat, big brown eyes, adorable nubby tail, and those perfect pointy ears, Cinder is a total heart-stealer. Her fur is just the right length and softness to run your fingers through and she loves it!! She’s the ideal size for adventures, couch cuddles, and everything in between.
Cinder loves other dogs. She’s happy to share attention without being protective. She is crate trained, but will let you know she’d rather be WITH you than stuck in the cage but when she knows you are not available, she will settle and snooze until you are available. She really wants someone to love her deeply and make her feel special.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion to go everywhere with you, Cinder is your girl. Cinder has not been tested with small children but her loving personality should be okay. I would recommend at least 4 yrs and up. Even then, the parents must monitor and make sure Cinder is being treated properly. She’d be great to go places with you —- long treks, or short jaunts… in the car or walking … she just wants to be with you. Cinder needs a little more ‘leash’ training but she has improved since she got here.

Adoption Fees
The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting.
All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog.
HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/
This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose.
Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
