Story
Australian Shepherd/ Lab is the closest breed we can guess on her. Sorry we dont have good photos of sweet Sally. She was in foster in Texas since a puppy! She is totally trained with playing with a playgroup of dogs several times/day. Finally her turn at about 2 years to be adopted. ! House and potty trained!!! woof woof. Super affectionate sweet loving dog. She is a little shy at first, but opens up quickly. Has done great with other all other dogs even young puppies when done with proper introductions. She is with a rescue that is friends of Lufkin TX Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter friends. loving sweet sweet pup t is nearly impossible to say the breeds but her brother did have some Great Pyrenese in his DNA test. All of her siblings were adopted as puppies, its long been Sally's time to find her FOREVER home. https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/ If interested we would have you speak with her rescuer. Many dogs are impossible to say the breeds but it is anyone's guess. As we know, mutts statistically speaking will live longer and have less vet bills!. All of our Lufkin Kurth Texas dogs were hand selected and are literally their favorites. Everyone who has adopted adores their dogs. She will totally win you over. , Please do apply!!! All our dogs are spay/neutered, current on DHPP and rabies shots, microchipped, tested hw negative, so all of that is done. Our adoptions include professional dog rescue transport to WA and health certificates (vet visit just prior to coming to WA). Any questions, please email us at shaynesrescue@gmail.com Best to include your phone number and good times to call too!

Story
Fostering saves lives. That is the truth. It takes a village to save lives and if we dont have fosters in the PNW we hardly adopt any because MOST people want to meet the dog/pup first. You get breaks, we assist you in so many ways. We do ask you foster hopefully a minimum of 6 times as there is our volunteer time assisting new fosters and training how we do things . The most important besides food, water and love are containment. Thank you! We hope to hear from you.

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. Cinder (aka Cinderella) Cinder is 25#...estimated DOB is 9/26/24 (a little over 1 yr). We think she has a mixture of breeds. My app on my phone scans the image and comes up with a breed … it came up with the Canaan Dog, the Jindu, and the Akita Inu. (only a DNA test would tell). The app was not able to take into account her size. These breeds mentioned are definitely medium to large dogs. Cender is barely 25#s. Whoever had her as a newborn had her tail cropped which is common to do to the Fox Terrier, American Cattle Dog, and several other breeds. Whatever the mix is, it made one incredibly cute and sweet dog. CINDER is waiting to be somebody’s baby with her soft cream coat, big brown eyes, adorable nubby tail, and those perfect pointy ears, Cinder is a total heart-stealer. Her fur is just the right length and softness to run your fingers through and she loves it!! She’s the ideal size for adventures, couch cuddles, and everything in between. Cinder loves other dogs. She’s happy to share attention without being protective. She is crate trained, but will let you know she’d rather be WITH you than stuck in the cage but when she knows you are not available, she will settle and snooze until you are available. She really wants someone to love her deeply and make her feel special. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to go everywhere with you, Cinder is your girl. Cinder has not been tested with small children but her loving personality should be okay. I would recommend at least 4 yrs and up. Even then, the parents must monitor and make sure Cinder is being treated properly. She’d be great to go places with you —- long treks, or short jaunts… in the car or walking … she just wants to be with you. Cinder needs a little more ‘leash’ training but she has improved since she got here. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. This beautiful dog came with the named Rubix, but we call her Ruby. She is a “Lowrider” mix…we think a Welsh Corgi mix. DOB 12/1/24; weighs 27#s. Ruby is a shy, sweet soul who absolutely adores people. She’s got a gentle heart, a love of belly rubs, and a soft spot for sweet affection and cuddles and… once she warms up, she’ll be your loyal shadow. Her dreamy, creamy fur, short legs and long body make her as cute as a button! She walks well on a leash, is crate trained, and is potty trained (and as a young dog small-breed, she needs to go outside frequently. How is she with other dogs you ask? She’s still learning to feel safe. She has done well with dogs her size, and plays energetically and respectfully. Bigger dogs who are respectful can win her over, but if they are too energetic or rough she becomes intimidated and runs to her human for protection. She does warm up quickly and loves to play. Ruby would thrive in a home with a loving, respectful and playful dog companion, or solo as your shadow. Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. In foster in Kent WA CAMEO is a Basset Hound mix weighing about 30-35 pounds. She's estimated to be around 11 months (est. DOB 2/15/25) old and is as sweet as can be. She is very outgoing, affectionate, and loves sweet-tempered. Cameo is definitely coming out of her shell at her foster's home and exhibiting those well known basset hound traits! She spends most of the morning wrestling and playing with her foster brother, so she would do really well in a home with another dog, but could also be a solo dog with the right enrichment! Cameo gets along great with other animals and children, especially those who have treats in their hands. She would do GREAT with an active family, given that she still has all the energy to play even after her daily 4 mile walk. She does great on a leash and her hound instincts kick in when she sees birds. At night, she loves to settle down in your lap with kisses, and snuggle in bed next to you. Since being at her foster's home in Washington, she hasn't had but an occasional accident (pee) in the house other than the first night. She just requires a potty break at least every 3 or at most 4 hrs. Cameo is in foster in a home with two other dogs larger than she is and she does fantastic with both of them Cameo, along with here sister (Carob) and mother (Cleo), were found in a parking area close to a storage business along with several other dogs. These 3 were happy and friendly. Cameo is vaccinated, spayed, and eating good. Now all they need is a forever home and that’s where you come in. Please give these wonderful dogs a chance. She ignored the cats when cat tested! We do not yet know if she is totally potty trained. Cameos sister is still in rescue in Texas, her mother Cleo has been adopted but Cameo is in foster in Kent, WA so please apply to adopt so you can meet her! Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. In foster in Lacey, WA New Years special! We think? he would do best with another high energy friendly younger dog that wants a playmate. These are links to Tugboat on our fb page Shayne's Fosters (copy/paste to view) https://www.facebook.com/ShaynesFosters/videos/1202470121850129 https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1Aw19WTuA2/ TUGBOAT is a male Shar Pei mix…DOB 7/25/25…and will probably get to be 45-60#. He is the sweetest ever! He’s so friendly and so loving and happy. He loves all other dogs and plays with such enthusiasm. He is in foster with dogs and cats. He has not had any accidents, so we say 'potty trained' but we do take the pups out often, it is not yet that he tells us he needs to go out. He is very quiet, does great in a crate all night. He is so much fun to watch. He just wiggles and wags constantly he is so happy. Because of his energy level he really needs another dog at least his size with high energy to use up his energ He loves laps and would likely be very good with children as he is NOT nippy. He can be easily redirected with the fosters cats and doesn't seem prey driven at all. That being said, he doesn't appear to get when the cats swat at him that they are saying 'leave me alone'. He wants to play! Hence, if you aren't experienced training dogs with cats, perhaps he wouldn't be the best fit if you have cats. He never harms them, but does wish to play with all (cats, dogs everyone). He plays great with all 3 dogs in his foster home. He is also not very large. He loves to cuddle and is not a super chewer. Great in his crate all night. Loves to chase a rubber balls. He loves treats. TUGBOAT is an absolute treat, so friendly and loving. He was found as a single puppy about 6 wks old alongside the road in San Antonio, Texas. We don’t know why…Dumped? Mama lost him from the rest of the litter? We don’t know but he is probably the lucky one. He is now totally vetted…has all 4 puppy shots, Rabies, neutered, and getting great puppy food. Please give his consideration, he deserves a fantastic life. He might possibly have some Boxer in him? Check out our YouTube videos when he was young and still in Texas at the rescue. https://youtu.be/DG4nEM6q6YY https://youtu.be/thIXy-AF2Sw Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention.
