Story
Hi there, My name is Peter and it is an absolute pleasure to meet you!I weigh 52 lbs and am considered a `medium breed` dog.I am a very smart dog! At the shelter I am practicing how to `sit`, `stay`, `down`, `speak`, `shake` (both paws) and i`ll even sit pretty for treats. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy. I love fetch, working on new commands, maze feeders, and puzzle toys!I am an independent dog who likes to do my own thing! I like to get pets on my own terms but when I am done I would like my space respected. I need a home with no children under the age of 12 years old. During my time here at the shelter I have shown that I like to have my space when I want it. A home that has Heeler experience would be the best home for me!You can visit me at the Pet Adoption Center on weekdays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Pet Adoption Center is located at 21615 64th Ave S, Kent, WA 98032.Come and visit me today, I`d love to go home with you!

Story
Ivy is the sweetest 3 yo Staffordshire Terrier that I've ever had the pleasure of taking care of. I actually found her tied up at a 7/11 when she was only 5 months old with a free dog sign, and brought her home with me. Life circumstances have changed and I am moving out of state in August, so I am looking for a loving home for her to go to. She's very well behaved and sweet to every person she meets. She loves going on walks in nature and in the city, and loves playing fetch more than anything. She also loves playing tug of war, but she's really strong and always wins. A few adjectives to describe Ivy: Loving, Goofball, Energetic, Sweet, Cuddlebug

Story
Hi there, My name is Momo and I can`t wait to meet you!I weigh about 50 lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog. My caregivers have given me a lot of special attention here at the shelter and I`ve been gaining a lot of weight since coming in! I am so lucky to have such an awesome foster family!I am a very smart dog! At the shelter I am practicing how to sit and come when called. My husky tendencies mean that while I`m incredibly smart, I`m also a quite stubborn, so I need someone who can work with me patiently while I pick up new tricks.I am an affectionate lovebug and love getting brushed and going for walks. I love my people and the attention that they give to me! I don`t mind hanging out by myself, however. As a Husky, I have my zoomies, but if you stay calm around me, I`ll match the energy. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy.My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other large dogs. I am barrier reactive - sort of like getting startled when the doorbell rings! - when meeting them, but once in the yard with them I calm down and do better. I do better with another calm dog that is willing to give me my own space and respect my boundries, who is good at reading body language. I have had fantastic dog-to-dog interactions here at RASKC and think I`d like having an easy going pal to hang out with! Since the shelter can be a loud environment, I am currently in a foster home where I can get out of my kennel more and play, play, play! If you want to meet me please fill out a foster interest form! In my foster home I get along with men, women and children - I`m very lucky to be with such fantastic humans!I am an adaptable dog who loves to go with the flow! I am outgoing and carefree, and I just can`t wait to find my forever home. Could yours be the one? You can visit me at the Pet Adoption Center on weekdays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Story
Hi! My name is Roscoe and I am available for adoption!I was brought in by my previous owner on January 10, 2026 because they were unable to care for me. I had an amazing stay-cation with a lovely family that played ball with me and even fed my new favorite treat: apples! Now that I`m back at RASKC, I`m eager to met a family that wants to go for lots of walks and play ball! I weigh 62lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog. I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy. I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to play with you at home! I would do best in a home without children - I`m still learning my manners and love to jump up to say hello! I am a puppy!! I will need to find a home where someone is available for me in these early days. It is important to be consistent with me and socialize me so I can have the best companionship with people and other animals. I`m very smart - I know sit, stay, wait, and down! - but I`m still working on the whole `personal space` thing! You can visit me at the Pet Adoption Center on weekdays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Feel free to bring any dogs from home to meet me - I`d love to get a feel for my new siblings, after all! The Pet Adoption Center is located at 21615 64th Ave S, Kent, WA 98032.Come and visit me today, I`d love to go home with you!
