Story
Hi there, my name is Sinjo and I`m ready for adoption!I was brought in when my previous owner was no longer able to take care of me.I weigh 93.0 lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog. I am quite overweight so I am on a weight loss journey currently. I was originally 106 lbs when I arrived at RASKC so I am down 13 lbs :)At RASKC I keep my kennel very clean and I am gentle with my toys! I am very potty trained and will hold it for the dog walkers!I can be an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home, but I can also be an independent dog who likes to do my own thing at times! My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other large dogs. When meeting dogs in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction.I am an adaptable dog who loves to go with the flow! I am outgoing and carefree, and I just can`t wait to find my forever home!My foster says this about me, `He`s an easy going dog - he met some new people and always did well, and he seems to react well to other dogs on walks. We`ve left him alone for a few hours and he did fine, just a little whining. He`s so happy to be with people - so playful, and cuddly. He loves walks so I`m sure that the weight loss will be no problem with a family that can give him the exercise he wants. He`s truly the sweetest boy and has been such a pleasure to foster. He`s the perfect walking and running partner, and is so snuggly and happy at home. `I`m currently in a foster home, please fill out a foster interest form for the chance to meet me! To find that form click the `read about our adoption process` link then `foster path` link!

Hi! My name is Buddy and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by a good samaritan on 06/05/2026.I weight 56.0 lbs and am considered a medium breed dog.I am a very smart dog! At the shelter I am practicing how to `sit`, `stay`, `come`, `down` and `shake`.I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home!I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy.My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other around my size. When meeting dogs in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction.I`m a Playgroup Pal! Ask the staff today about my interactions with other dogs at the shelter in our Playgroups.I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Hi! My name is Queenie and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by an Animal Control Officer on July 17, 2026I weigh 66 lbs and am considered a large breed dog.I am the sweetest girl and love attention! I would likely do best as the only pet in the home. I do not like to share my favorite humans attention! I am a very smart dog! At the shelter I am practicing how to sit. I can be independant and aloof at first, I like to do my own thing until I get to know you. I sometimes get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up in new places. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend! I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy. When I get settled, I love to go with the flow! I am outgoing and carefree, and I just can`t wait to find my forever home!

Story
I got Banana in 2017, he turns 10 at the end 2026. Hes very sweet, playful, full of energy and life. Loves walks and going to the dog park. Generally gets along with other dogs, he is non-aggressive, but tends to lose interest in other dogs and prefer to sniff around or play with a ball. Nana is a lap dog, he is overall clingy and will follow you where ever you go. Hes very awkward and stiff when picked up. Leash needed, he will catch a smell and go after it. He would thrive with an older women/ single women owner, without young children, or men or other animals. Nana likes all people, he is definitely a people dog rather than a dogs dog. He is very anxious, nervous and flinches to fast movement. He is reactive to my cats, causing a high stress environment overall. Along with I work very long days and don't have the time, attention, or affection to give that he so deserves.

Story
Darrow is full of energy and fun. Loves to play fetch and even run on a treadmill. He love toys that squeak must be tough to avoid fluff everywhere. He needs a good yard to run and play in. He has no problem with cats, but he loves to try and chase them to play. He has currently been living with small children but would do better with out children. Active and lively household would be great. He does not do well with other dogs. Must be an only dog. He was attacked as a puppy at a dog park and will be on high alert near any other dog. He knows all his basic commands. (Sit, stay, lay down, roll over, shake.) House trained, Crate-trained. He does have a bit of separation anxiety. He is very talkative. must tell everyone when someone is walking near the house, or when he finds a good stick. He has leash reactivity, but does okay as long as no other dogs are near. He is up to date on all vaccinations and is neutered. I believe he is microchipped.
