Story
* Female Great Pyrenees/German Shepard mix * Approximately 1.5 years old * Approximately 78 pounds * Housetrained * Crate Trained * Okay with other dogs, not sure   about cats   * Dog respectful children 8 and older * Adoption fee: $450 All dogs with PUP are in private foster homes so we can provide our potential adopters the most current information available. Health: Dixie has been spayed and microchipped. She is current on her DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies. She has been wormed and flea treated, and tested negative for heartworm. History: Dixie's former owners were no longer to care for her due to work schedule changes and asked PUP to find her a new, perfect forever family.  Notes from Dixie's Foster Home:  Dixie is a gentle giant at 78 pounds and 1.5 years old.  She loves to play with other dogs and wants to say hi to everyone she meets. We witnessed Dixie lie down on the floor to welcome two new dogs visiting her foster home.  She's that gentle.  Her nose was as low at their small dog statures.  She loves to be around people and is very good with children. Dixie loves tummy rubs and can be chatty, as n the way GSD's like to talk when playing  or happy to see you. She loves outside activities, tug of war and would be a great running and hiking partner. If you  have room in your home, heart, and schedule for this sweet girl , please email Laura@pupdogrescue.org directly with your questions and to apply.  Thank you! Note: The above description reflects the behavior we have observed in the dog's foster home. Although PUP provides adopters up to the minute information on our dogs, we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners. Story
-Rescue Story: She has been rescued in the junk yard of a suburb area where she has been fed leftovers in a small cage to be eaten or sold as dog meat. -Potty trained: Outdoors/Indoors are both possible, She prefers outdoors more than indoors on grassy areas. - Walks Queen knows it’s time to go out for a walk when she sees the leash. She sometimes pulls on the leash on walks but generally walks well. However, she can get scared by unfamiliar people or loud noises, so it's necessary to double up with a harness when walking in quiet places. -Energy Level She is not very high-energy, so 1-2 walks of about an hour each or spending 1-2 hours at a dog park should be sufficient. However, when she hasn't expended all of her energy, he tends to run around the house or chew on things. - Relationship with People She relies deeply on foster parents and enjoys the affection and touch of her family. She gets scared of unfamiliar people and tends to run away or hide, and this applies to children as well. However, with frequent exposure and experiences, she is gradually becoming more comfortable and has never shown any aggression or annoyance towards people in any situation. - Relationship with Cats Briefly sniffs and shows no interest. Even when she sees stray cats, she doesn't chase after them. - Relationship with Dogs Bonds well with foster family’s dogs and knows how to share food. She only briefly sniffs unfamiliar dogs and shows little interest but tends to get scared and run away when a new dog approaches with big actions. - Bark Doesn’t not bark outside but let goes a few barks in the house when hearing of an unfamiliar noise. - Anxiety Crys when left alone in the house, ( Being trained) - Brief write up (personality, what would be the ideal home?): Queen is fearful of unfamiliar environments and strangers, but deep inside, she relies on humans and seeks love and affection. It would be great if she could live in a place with a cheerful sibling dog, as she gets along well with other dogs. It would also be ideal to have a patient and understanding home that can wait for her to adapt and show patience during the adjustment period.

Location : Korea Adoption inquiries: wds3628@nate.com ▶ (relationship with dogs) : It takes some time to get closer at the first time but, she tends to get along well unless some dog tries to playing too much. She likes to hang out with their friends. ▶ (relationship with cats) : Not the severe hunting but, she is not friendly with cats. It is not recommended with the house where the cats are living. ▶ (relationship with people) : From the time of the rescue, she was on the alert but, not aggressive at all. She doesn’t come to you first, but she even doesn’t refuse to be touched. When she gets confident or strangers visit your house then she could bark at the first time. But she only barks without any other reactions like warning or other additional actions. ▶ (house trained) : outdoor defecation ▶ (walks on leash) : She can slowly do it well. At the first time, she feared cars but, now she is good at it. In the narrow roads, when the car or bike, motorcycle pass through, then she waits until the transportation goes. If you forcibly pull her, you must be careful because she would step back. ▶ (special notes) : She is domesticated while she spent more than one year with temporary protection family, but she is still afraid of people’s touch. She lives quietly and peacefully at home nowadays. There is no problem staying along with young children. She likes to listen to bird’s chirping and appreciating the scene of landscape while sitting on the deck. It is preferred the house with wide yard. I hope Meso meet the family who will take care and accept her at it is.

(He never urinates or defecates at home!) ▶ (walks on leash) : He has no resistance to leash. He is very fond of taking a walk. ▶ (special notes) : When a motorcycle catches his eyes, he tries to chase the motorcycle. (I'm teaching about it that’s why he tries not to follow the motorcycle.) He has a joint problem. Sometimes it seems hard for him to run for a long time. He likes people so much that he wants to get attentions that’s why he approaches people actively. He jumps when he greets people. But, He is often not favorable to other dogs. When the other dog shows little bit of aggressiveness then Deok Bae takes an attacking stance or barks. He is sensitive to the sounds like TV and so on that’s why he sometimes whines.
