Story

Recently adopted on 8/9/2025 from OC Animal Care. Milo is a 5-year old German Shepherd. He is 85 pounds and just wants attention and love! Milo loves going on walks (3-4x per day) and looooves running around open fields with his two favorite toys: squeaky balls and the flirt pole. Milo is potty trained and crate trained. We suspect Milo had a traumatic past before we adopted him, as evidenced by gnawed down teeth + fly strike ears… which is perhaps why he is reactive to other dogs and people who come near us. Milo is not reactive to us at all though. We’ve hired 3 trainers for Milo’s reactivity and have seen improvement, but there is quite a bit more to work through. Unfortunately, we are looking to rehome our sweet boy because we are (unexpectedly) expecting and cannot risk the safety of our newborn. We love our sweet Milo so much and only want the best for him… we are seeking a family with a home & yard (no kids/pets) who can give him all the love he deserves and needs.

My name is Berry, and I am a great catch for those preferring a more mature companion! I am a super sweet boy--smart and affectionate, too! I'm what they call "sight impaired." I do fine once I know my way around my surroundings, but I like my humans to be close by to reassure me that I'm safe. I'm really good on my walks, and of course being a senior I like my walks slow and short. I'm not boring, though! My foster mom says I have a definite silly side, too. If you want a dignified, easygoing gentleman to keep you company, then I'm your guy. I am loved and well-cared for with my foster family but I am looking for my forever home. I have had a thorough health examination, Im microchipped and I will have a dental cleaning prior to adoption.
