Story
This is Dot. She is a sweetheart full of energy. She is about 2 years old in October and we are looking to rehome because we have a busy lifestyle with three young boys (one newborn) and believe she needs more attention than we can offer for the foreseeable future of our life. She would do best in an active home that can play fetch and go for walks but also loves to be on her bed hanging out in the evenings watching tv with you.

Story
Recently adopted on 8/9/2025 from OC Animal Care. Milo is a 5-year old German Shepherd. He is 85 pounds and just wants attention and love! Milo loves going on walks (3-4x per day) and looooves running around open fields with his two favorite toys: squeaky balls and the flirt pole. Milo is potty trained and crate trained. We suspect Milo had a traumatic past before we adopted him, as evidenced by gnawed down teeth + fly strike ears… which is perhaps why he is reactive to other dogs and people who come near us. Milo is not reactive to us at all though. We’ve hired 3 trainers for Milo’s reactivity and have seen improvement, but there is quite a bit more to work through. Unfortunately, we are looking to rehome our sweet boy because we are (unexpectedly) expecting and cannot risk the safety of our newborn. We love our sweet Milo so much and only want the best for him… we are seeking a family with a home & yard (no kids/pets) who can give him all the love he deserves and needs.

Story
Rehoming my dog has been one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make. I love him deeply and want to find him a safe, loving home where he can thrive. He is a 6-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix who is house-trained, crate-trained, and full of energy. He loves walks, adores people, and has no concept of personal space—he'll happily be your shadow. He's curious, nosey, and always wants to be part of whatever you're doing. He takes time to warm up to other dogs and does best with slow introductions. He's good with kids but can play rough, so a home with older children is preferred. He can be stubborn and has growled and bared his teeth at my significant other when asked to do something he doesn't want to do. He needs an experienced owner who can provide structure, patience, and consistency. My only goal is to find him the right forever home.

Story
Hi, my name is Dexter. I'm a happy-go-lucky guy who got dealt a bad hand in life, but I am not letting that get me down. I live life to my fullest despite my mobility issues! I'm a nine-year-old bundle of energy and joy. I'm a Maltese-poodle mix (who looks an awful lot like a Bichon, in my auntie's opinion!) I was born with a neurological disorder that affects my equilibrium and my ability to walk--but I don't let that get me down! I'm too smart for that...nothing stops me. BROC has equipped me with the latest and greatest doggie wheels, of course, and I'm a champion driver--but even without wheels I can scramble around the yard to chase my foster brother - as well as any other dog. My technique might not win awards, but I don't care! I get to where I want to go, with or without wheels. Speaking of "go"...I am fully housebroken. All I need is someone to take me to the "potty place" a few times a day (same as any other dog), and that is one of the reasons I need a special person. You see, I can't get to the yard on my own, and it isn't safe for me to be alone out there anyway. My special person also would need to ensure my safety in the home. Being that I'm not so graceful, my person needs to make sure the home is safe - without things that could harm me if I were to, let's say, meet them head-on at cruising speed. My current foster mom created a large, enclosed "Dexter Den" for me, complete with a big bed, my favorite toys, water of course, and plenty of space to move around. I stay in my den when my foster mom needs to leave the house. When she's home, I just hang out in my den or roam around. The bottom line is this: Apart from my neurological condition, I am a very normal, healthy dog who is full of joy and very loving. Everyone I meet falls in love with me, because I know how to put on the charm! I don't require a lot of work, but I do need special help and attention...thus it takes a special person. If you have room in your heart and home for delightful me, please complete an adoption application. https://bichonrescueoc.org/adoption-applicationk

Story
Meet Sunny !! Sunny is available for adoption, but HE IS IN SANCTUARY, which means BROC will support his care and needs for the rest of his life. Hi, I’m Sunny!  Can  you believe I’m 17 years old?  Me neither! I may have the years, but I sure don’t act them—I still bounce, dance, and prance around the house like a pup. I’ve got a silly, goofy streak that makes everyone laugh, and a sweet heart that just wants to be near my people.   Even though I don’t let age slow me down, I do need a little extra care these days—things like vet visits, medicine, and the comforts that help me keep living my best (and silliest) life.   Your support helps me keep dancing through my golden years, making people smile, and soaking up every moment of love and joy. Thank you for being part of my story—you’re the sunshine that keeps me going! Sunny is adoptable to someone willing to take on his special needs. If you would like to help support Sunny, please visit our website at bichonrescueoc.org and click the donate button.

Story
Meet Brodie – A Little Survivor Looking for the Love He's Always Deserved Hi, my name is Brodie, and I'm a five-year-old, 12-pound Havanese with the sweetest heart you'll ever meet. Life hasn't always been kind to me. I spent far too long living outside with no shelter, trying to endure the scorching heat all by myself. Thankfully, the wonderful people at BROC rescued me, and now my future is finally looking bright. My foster family says I'm one of the sweetest little boys they've ever met. I'm housebroken, calm, and quiet—I hardly ever bark. I love going on leisurely walks, rolling around in the soft grass, and when the day is done, my favorite place is cuddled up next to my person for a cozy nap or a full night's sleep. I don't ask for much—just a safe home, a loving family, and the chance to spend the rest of my life knowing what it feels like to truly belong. If you think you might be the forever family I've been waiting for, please complete an adoption application at bichonrescueoc.org. I can't wait to meet you.
