Story
Felix is an adorable 6 month old pup that is just as cute as can be. He is certainly all puppy and is a very happy guy. Dog friendly, and we believe he would be kid friendly too! Felix is just a little guy who didn’t get the right family the first time around, but now he has a second chance and he is so ready for a home!January 17, 2025, 2:58 pm

Story
Levi is a stunning, young dog that didn’t get the love and attention that she needed as a pup. Now she is scared of new people and the world around her, but she has been making improvements every day since she arrived here with us! Sweet Levi is very affectionate when she warms up, and we know there is a great dog inside just trying to come out. She will need a patient home, willing to help teach her how to be a dog. Levi loves other dogs, but as play is a learned behavior in dogs, she is quite awkward and pushy when playing. When she gets excited, she tends to get barky and mouthy – this is how she plays, not realizing others (both people and dogs) find it a bit off putting. We had Levi do a short board and train program with a trainer, and she is doing much better. So someone who is willing to continue to build on this foundation is what Levi needs! She would love to have a playmate, around her size, in the home – one that is confident and patient, and able to give her appropriate corrections! Before going home, she will require at least a few visits to warm up to everybody in the home. Things will have to move at her pace in the beginning, but she is definitely worth the wait!August 7, 2025, 4:20 pm

Story
Gunther is a very handsome, 6 year old German Shepherd. He loves to play fetch, and will even drop the toy at your feet and wait patiently for you to throw it again! He has had some basic training, and is a very smart boy. Gunther loves his people, and has done well previously living with kids! He was adopted out from us previously, in 2022, and came back through no fault of his own! While in their home he was always housebroken and respectful of boundaries and eager to greet visitors. Gunther is a striking, intelligent, athletic, and fiercely loving boy! He is very much a volunteer favorite around here, and he would love an active home where he can go on adventures with you and play lots and lots of fetch/frisbee! You’ll notice Gunther’s super cool, adventure goggles! He was diagnosed with pannus in August, an autoimmune disease that can cause cloudiness and vision loss if left untreated. Gunther will require lifelong eye drops, but has become a total pro about taking them! He will also need his goggles in order to go outside while keeping his eyes protected. His goggles don’t slow him down one bit – it’s quite amazing to watch him play fetch/frisbee. He hardly misses the ball, he leaps up and twirls in the air. Gunther has a very high drive, so he does need a home that can keep up with him. Plus when he has his goggles on, he can stick his head out of the window on car rides without irritation, which he loves! He is such a great traveler. When he isn’t playing, he is very affectionate. Gunther likes to stay close and will often have a paw reached out, touching you as he lays close by.December 26, 2025, 6:40 pm

Story
Wayne and Kirby are an adorable pair with the cutest and most endearing faces.  These two have been through a lot and have taken a while to come around.  They came to us from a hoarding situation with little to no socialization with people.  Wayne and Kirby have bonded with a few volunteers, but are still not 100% comfortable being picked up and handled comfortably.  They DO however enjoy going for walks and exploring the play-yard.   They need a quiet home where they will be allowed to come around on their own time without being pushed.  They have never known life inside a home and it will be an adjustment, but with time and lots of patience, Wayne and Kirby will never look back! No kids/teens, and must have a home with an attached yard.December 26, 2025, 6:40 pm
