Story

I adopted her from the Long Beach animal shelter in 2022. She’s 6 years old and has been with me ever since. She’s playful, lots of energy enjoys the dog park lots of attention and love. It’s unfortunate she’s not able to be with our family because of the landlord but she’s good with my 2 year old son, cats, and other animals. She definitely knows her place especially with other animals. The Russian Blue at my Moms house reigned over her. It was sweet to see how easy she is with other pets. It pains me to do this but I’m just looking for a better home than we can give her with a yard and attention. She has so much love and loyalty to give. She’s house trained and loves being with her people. I’d be open to fostering her to someone who would be willing to and has plenty of room for Mara to play. Since we plan on buying a house for this reason and for our son. But either way I just want her to go to someone; a family who will treat her good and love her as much as she’s loved.

I do fine once I know my way around my surroundings, but I like my humans to be close by to reassure me that I'm safe. I'm really good on my walks, and of course being a senior I like my walks slow and short. I'm not boring, though! My foster mom says I have a definite silly side, too. If you want a dignified, easygoing gentleman to keep you company, then I'm your guy. I am loved and well-cared for with my foster family but I am looking for my forever home. I have had a thorough health examination, I’m microchipped and I will have a dental cleaning prior to adoption.
