Story
Darcy was given to us by a family friend known for breeding. We’ve had her since she was a puppy and is now almost 4 years young! Shes a very spirited and outgoing dog who loves being outdoors so she would highly benefit from a new family who has a yard. We would love to keep her in our family however our hosing situation abruptly changed. In the process of moving from an apartment to a bigger home my husband unfortunately lost his job and we were no longer able to afford our move. We currently live in a small apartment with a very small patio which is not ideal for a larger dog like her. It breaks our hearts that we need to part with her but it hurts us more having her confined to such a small area when she loves being outdoors. Our renting manager has also stated that we are no longer allowed to have pets in our apartment so we have no other choice but to rehome her. Darcy is very friendly and has never had any violent episodes with people, she also loves babies!

Story
Izzy is a truly special little lady who deserves all the love in the world. I am moving and won't be able to take her with me. She's mostly an indoor dog - a 10-year-old sweetheart, incredibly loving, gentle, and well-trained. She's patient, loving, and wonderful with kids! She would do best as the only dog in the home as she doesn't get along well with other dogs or cats. Izzy also has special needs - a condition called megaesophagus, which means she needs to eat sitting upright in her special chair (which she has!) and stay upright for a bit after meals. It's very manageable once you're in a routine, and she's already used to it. She's full of love! Has had just one owner since she was 4 months old, and it's heartbreaking to have to split them up. She just needs a loving home where she can make a new bestie!

Story
Kilo enjoys spending time with his people and thrives on companionship. He has a gentle soul and would do best in a home where he can be part of the family. Whether it’s relaxing on the couch, going for walks, or just being near his humans, Kilo is happiest when he’s included. Kilo is looking for a stable, caring home preferably with a yard where he can settle in and enjoy his golden years surrounded by love. Rehoming him is not an easy decision, and we’re committed to finding the right fit for him. If you think you could offer Kilo the safe and loving home he deserves, please reach out to learn more. In addition I do think the fit would be best with a family who has experience with Dobermans in the past.

Story
Hi everyone! I’m Slater, but my OCPBR family calls me Nugget. I’m 5 years old and have been the luckiest pup with my foster homes. I have lots of foster siblings in my current home and get to go camping and on adventures often. I’m super energetic (but I also know how to chill) and need someone who’s going to play with me, so a home with a senior dog would not be the best fit for me. I am a silly, fun, young dog, but I do not like being hugged or restrained, so a home with children under the age of 10 isn’t a good fit for me. I do however LOVE to cuddle and I think I’m a lapdog. I really like all dogs, but small dogs are my favorite. I am crate trained and house trained, walk great on a leash, know some basic obedience commands and am working on learning more. I do have a unique health issue… my second kidney never grew. So, because of this, I have to eat a special low protein diet and my treats are vegetarian lol. Don’t worry, OCPBR has already paid for all of the tests, so you will just need to feed me appropriate food and treats to ensure I stay healthy. At OCPBR, we do a foster to adopt with all of our special dogs going to their new families. If you have another dog(s), the dog(s) must be completely friendly with puppies, other dogs and people. The foster must be willing and able to participate in our foster care program to include ongoing obedience training and socialization. I’m fully vetted, neutered, current on all vaccines, microchipped and looking for my perfect forever family. If you’re interested in Slater, please go to https://www.ocpbr.org/adoptionapplication or email us at adopt@ocpbr.org
