Hi, I'm Jaclyn, and I need to find a new home for my dog. This is one of the hardest things I've ever had to write.My dog is a 2 1/2-year-old pit mix I've had since he was 2 months old. He's e-collar trained and deeply loved, well cared for and worked with his whole life.We have a small dog and a cat at home, and he's never had an issue with either. But recently at my brother's house, he killed their cat. It's clear he needs a home where his prey drive is understood and managed safely, ideally with no small animals, or by someone experienced with that in a pit bull.I won't take him to a shelter. I want him with a family or experienced person who knows the breed and can give him a safe, structured, loving home. He's affectionate, loyal, and has so much love to give.I'm sharing his full history because I want honesty to lead him to the right home. If you know someone who might be a fit, or a reputable pit bull rescue, please reach out.

Felix has grown into such a handsome dog! We pulled Felix from a kill shelter in January of 2025, he was a 6 month old pup that didn't get the right family the first time around. We were happy to break him out and give him his second chance at life! While Felix has had a lot of interest in his time with us, he has not had a family commit to taking him home. Felix is incredibly smart and energetic, and often times the ones interested in him decide he is too much for them to handle for one reason or another. In his time with us he has learned how to play fetch like a pro! As well as commands like sit, down, and even touch! We're telling you, he is incredibly smart! On top of his big brain, he has an even bigger heart! Felix is very affectionate and just loves to be with his friends, even if he is off playing with his toy, he just likes to know that you are close by. He LOVES other dogs, but can be a rough player, so he can be overbearing for dogs that don't match his play style. That said, he does take corrections from other dogs very well. He would certainly love to have another doggy friend in the home, but it is not necessary for him to go home with another dog. While Felix is very friendly with people, he is still a bit of an overgrown puppy who likes to use his mouth, so teenage aged children would be more appropriate for him! We know in the right home he will truly thrive and become one of the best furry companions that you have ever had! Ready to find your next adventure buddy? Felix is your guy! He is an A+ passenger in the car and loves exploring anywhere new. 2026 is his year, we just know it!!March 7, 2026, 9:20 pm
