Story
I first got Koa when I was 16 from a ranch breeder in Northern California where he enjoyed acres of land to run around with his brothers and sisters until 9-10 weeks old. I am 22 now and am moving out of the country with my family. I would love to re-locate koa to a home who is a good fit. Koa loves to be around people and protect his "pack". He will quickly create a strong connection with you and wants more than anything to be close to his owner at all times. He growls when he plays and plays a bit rough but has never initiated a fight. I am open to re-locating him at a home with another dog but with an experienced owner. He has stayed at many homes with other dogs. He is off-leash trained and house trained, looking for an owner who is loving but can be firm for his safety. He is a very happy and goofy dog who is clumsy and adorable.

Story
I got Finn at 5 weeks old from a craigslist ad. Finn is a lover of his people and doggy friends, he’s cuddly and playful. He loves to give licks and will follow you everywhere you go. When Finn was younger, he took some obedient classes so he knows basic commands and is also crate trained. As Finn has gotten older, his fear of strangers has gotten harder for me to work with. He takes a while to warm up to new people but once you’re in, he’ll love and snuggle them just like his core family.

Story
Samantha, spayed female, 8-months-old, 28-lbs If you would like to give SAMANTHA a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application Samantha is a sweet young pup, friendly and mellow. She enjoys the company of other dogs and gets along well with cats too. She’s very stable and calm by nature, well behaved inside the house, not a barker. She’s potty trained to go outside, also crate trained to sleep overnight. Her favorite pastime is hang out with doggie pals in the park, her daily walks and riding in the car. With some basic training, Samantha will become a superb companion pet for any type of family. Samantha and her siblings were born to a stray mother dog. The rescuer decided to take care of the youngsters, after the mother dog was brutally poisoned to death. When Samantha was rescued, she was very fearful toward people. But after socializing for a few months with her foster family, she started to open up; could be a little shy when first meet, but warming up quickly. Now she is playful and healthy, and patiently waiting for her forever home! Story
Allen, neutered male, 1.5-y-o, 36-lbs If you would like to give ALLEN a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application With a pair of big eyes, on a seemingly oversized head — compared to his small and bony body, little Allen wandered alone around the orchard. He tried to keep out of sight from people, even when the volunteers were doling out food for him. Apparently, he was deeply haunted by multiple attacks in his short three months’ life. After Allen was rescued, his physical revealed that he was severely anemic. Under the loving tender care of his foster family, Allen slowly gained his trust toward people around him and started to play with other dogs in the household. Still, he’s not too comfortable being held by people, but great improvement has shown as time goes by. Allen is now a lively, playful and happy pup when around familiar environment. He is super mellow and well behaved by nature, only a little shy around strangers, especially toward men. He gets along well with other dogs and cats. He’ll be a great addition to family with dog!
