Story
Violet is the most joyful and lovable gal! She is SO happy to be alive and makes sure you know how grateful she is every second! Having a bad day? Violets smile will light up the WHOLE room. She is a cuddly girl that is happy to be around her person and will be happy to do anything with you! Want a chill day on the couch? Vi approves! Want to take a 3 hour hike? Vi also approves! She is a very adaptable gal! Violet is searching for her new bff! Could that be you? Violet is a smaller pittie mix, around 55lbs and is all muscle! She is a young dog but clearly has been bred multiple times. She has done great with other dogs her size or bigger with slow introductions. Violet is fully potty trained, leash trained, crate trained, and will happily nap in her crate if you need to leave her home while you go out. She is energetic and loves to play just as much as she loves to snuggle! Violet has some prey drive to small animals so no small dogs or cats. Because of how jumpy and mouthy she can get when she plays or gets excited, we believe she would do best and thrive in a home with kits 10+ only. She has been working on this with a trainer and has improved so so much! Violet has spent 6 weeks with a credible balanced trainer @boooshank (IG) and has made a lot of progress and learning to slow down and think before just acting, which is HUGE for her. She has struggled with being bale to control her impulses because of her prey drive but with working with @boooshank, she has been able to let the chickens be friends and not want to eat them when walking by! Whoever takes a chance on Violet gets a lot of AMAZING training perks from her trainer Lee! Violet comes with lifetime assistance from him, group classes for her whole life and 1:1 lessons, boarding options and priority swimming pool slots! Violet is currently being fostered in Woodland, CA. If you would like to meet Violet, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.californiabullyrescue.org/adopt.

Story
Meet Bonnie! She is a 3 yr old Brindle/White petite pit mix and was saved from Turlock Shelter a few days before she was scheduled for euthanasia due to space. Bonnie is dog friendly but will need a very structured home and very slow introductions to thrive as she has shown some reactivity. Her perfect home though would consist of her being the one and only princess in the home or with another lower energy dog who is well balanced. She is very human friendly and a very playful, affectionate girl. She has came out of her shell and has shown her foster paw-rents how much she is eager to please everyone. She is a mellow gal, who is working every day on becoming more confident! She is working on her leash manners, and would do just fine with kids. She loves to company that children provide her with and enjoys them just as much as they enjoy her. She has been taking pack walks with her foster sister (husky) and has been doing well! She loves to find the sun spot and play fetch in the backyard! Bonnie spent 4 weeks in a board & train with the amazing BeSpokeK9 to work on her leash reactivity, confidence and to freshen up on her skills. Bonnie comes with lifetime assistance from her trainer @boooshank (IG), group classes for the rest of her life, 1:1 lessons, boarding options and priority swimming pool slots for anyone who takes a chance on this amazing gal! Could Bonnie be your new best friend? She is waiting for her forever family to find her and make her a part of their home, forever. She is currently being fostered in San Rafael, CA. If you would like to meet her, please fill out our adoption application on our website www.californiabullyrescue.org/adopt

Story
Chunk is a 2 year old English Bulldog, who came to us as an owner surrender. Chunk absolutely adores humans, but he's definitely a man's best friend. He just finished a 4 week board & train with Wolf Mother K9 to work through his trauma. Chunk is a bit of special boy, he's very dog neutrally and friendly, he gets along great with them and could live with them. However, when he does live with another dog, it makes him lose trust in humans and causes him to bite when he's afraid, though he never does this in a home without other dogs. So, a home where he can be the only dog would be best or in a home with 1 other mellow dog. He loves to play, very food motivated and enjoys walks! He gets triggered by loud noises, quick movements and will bark when he wants cuddles. Chunk is a very healthy English Bulldog and doesn't even have most of their allergies or skin concerns that typically accompany the breed. Without dogs, he is absolutely perfect, cuddly, affectionate, and calm. He'll follow you around the house and try to be a lap dog whenever he can! Chunk is being fostered in Fairfield, CA. If you would like to meet Chunk, please fill out our adoption application on our website www.cabullyrescue.org/adopt.

Story
Who wants to chill with this meatball every night?!? Nugget is a great companion dog - medium energy, he loves walks especially when followed by naps and/or chews, and he's a champion sunbather. Nugs is crate trained, improving on place, walks well on leash, and with distance and treats (as a distraction) he's learning to ignore his triggers (lawn mowers, bicycles, and bouncing basketballs. Nugget is slow to trust - he needs time to get to know you - but once he trusts you he's a total cuddle bug who melts when given affection. He's dog friendly and has been non-reactive to cats that we've seen on walks (he does not live with a cat currently). Nugget has been to a board & train with Royal K9 to work through some sensitivities. He is overstimulated with loud noises, high pitched noises/voices, or just too much going on, so no kids would be best for this guy. He loves a quiet, calm home with a routine that can give him his space, but love him when he wants it. He's a very independent boy that loves to sploot in the sun and wear hoodies. The trainers said there is no doubt he would bond deeply with his person and be the most loyal companion. Location: Lakewood, CA

Story
Welcome Kiwi to the CBR crew! She came to us from the Merced Animal Shelter after being there for over 200 days! Kiwi was a volunteer favorite at the shelter and dog friendly, cat friendly and kid friendly...while being in foster, we have found that Kiwi needs a longer decompression time and slow intros, but once she is comfortable she is the best girl with other dogs. While on walks, she has some leash reactivity to dogs and cats, but in the home she is able to coexist peacefully if done properly! Kiwi is crate trained, house trained, lover of naps and sunshine ...loves a good snack and her favorite thing? Her people and her pack. Kiwi is currently being fostered in Discovery Bay, CA. If you would like to meet her and see if she is your new bff, please fill out our adoption application on our website www.cabullyrescue.org/adopt
