Story
🐾 Meet Nugget: The Loyal Couch Potato with a Sprinkler Obsession 🐾 Location: Lakewood, CA Not a fan of small talk or chaotic energy? Perfect—Nugget isn’t either. He’s the introvert’s dream bestie: chill, respectful, and always down for a peaceful walk (he’s got leash manners that would make your grandma proud). Nugget is a medium-energy dude who lives for the simple pleasures in life: ☀️ Sunbathing like he’s on a doggie vacation 🌱 Splooting and rolling in grass like it’s his personal spa 💦 Waging war with the sprinkler (and loving every minute) 🍖 Devouring snacks with Olympic-level enthusiasm He’s crate trained, knows his boundaries, and appreciates structure. Social butterfly? Not so much. More like a slow-burning candle of loyalty and love. Nugget takes his time getting to know you, but once you’re “his person,” it’s game over—you’ve got a full-blown cuddle bug on your hands. We’re talking lean-in-for-scratches, melty-eyed affection, and loyalty for life. Dog-friendly? You bet. Just give him time to warm up with proper intros and you’ll see him do the polite tail wag of approval. Sound like your kind of wingman? Fill out an adoption app at 👉 www.cabullyrescue.org/adopt 👈 Nugget's waiting to be your low-key ride-or-die.

Story
Meet Pantera – Your New Ride-or-Die Sidekick! Pantera is a fabulous 4-5 year-old, 60lb american pitbull terrier mix with the looks of a supermodel and the heart of a survivor. This gal was stuck at the Stockton Shelter for three whole months and get this, she even had eight adorable puppies there. Her little ones were snatched up faster than you can say “treat,” but poor Pantera was left behind, just waiting for someone to see the magic in her. Time was running out, and she was heartbreakingly close to being euthanized. But don’t worry this story has a plot twist! Pantera's unshakable zest for life was impossible to miss. She wiggled her way into everyone’s hearts and straight into a second chance. Since leaving the shelter, she’s become a fan favorite basically the Beyoncé of the dog world. She’s a total people person (well, dog), a canine social butterfly who also plays really well with other pups her size or larger. She’s down for a game of fetch or a good squeaky toy showdown, but also perfectly happy to Netflix and snooze on the couch next to you. Pantera’s got that golden combo: mature enough to be past the zoomies-all-day phase, but still fun, playful, and full of love. After being used as a baby-making machine (ugh, don’t get us started), she’s ready for the softest couch and the happiest forever home. Pantera would thrive best in a large breed experienced home free of small critters or small kiddos. Could that be with you? Fostered in Bay Point!

Story
Everyone say hello to Benny — the goodest boy who is officially SAFE because a foster stepped up and said YES 🙌💛 He was rescued from @stanislaus_shelter_friends after being euthanasia listed not once but twice 🥺 With only hours left to live, that one yes to fostering saved his life. Benny is 4 years old, 58 lbs, and 100% sweet boy energy. He can get a teensy bit overstimulated when he’s excited (honestly… same), but give him a minute and he settles right down like a champ. 🧘‍♂️✨ His favorite coping skill? 👉 His emotional support stuffy 🧸 Never underestimate the power of a good plushie. Benny is affectionate, lovable, and so grateful to be out of the shelter and into foster care where he can finally exhale and be his goofy, loving self. Huge thank you to the foster who opened their heart and home, you saved this boy’s life. 💙 Welcome to rescue life, Benny. The best chapters start now.

Story
Guppy is an estimated 4–5-year-old bully girl who came into the Sacramento City Shelter as a stray and immediately stole hearts with her gentle nature and soulful expression. It was clear early on that she hadn’t received the care she needed in the past and required some extra medical attention when she arrived. Today, Guppy is comfortable, stable, and thriving in foster care—ready to find the right home where she can finally be someone’s forever. Guppy has permanent ear damage from past, untreated ear hematomas, which caused significant scar tissue and her signature “cauliflower” ears. Because of this, she does not hear very well, and her ear canals are difficult to clean without professional help. She will require ongoing veterinary care, including regular monitoring and ear cleanings, for the rest of her life. She also has a mild entropion of one lower eyelid, which makes that eye appear slightly smaller. At this time, it is not painful or irritating and does not require surgical correction, but it should be routinely monitored during vet visits. Guppy is looking for an adopter who understands and is prepared for these long-term care needs and is committed to staying on top of her ear and eye health. Despite her medical needs, Guppy is truly one of the sweetest, most gentle dogs you’ll ever meet. Her slightly lopsided face gives her a permanently quizzical, endearing expression, and her personality matches it perfectly. She is incredibly loving and affectionate, enjoys cuddling, and also feels content relaxing on her own in a cozy spot. She has a calm, easygoing presence and isn’t demanding or high-energy—just quietly devoted and happy to be near her people. Guppy has done well with the dogs she has met, and when it comes to people, she believes everyone is a friend. No one is a stranger to her. She greets the world with kindness, trust, and a subtle sense of humor that makes her endlessly charming. She is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and stays close to your heart once she’s there. Guppy may not be a low-maintenance dog, but she is an extraordinary one. She is looking for a patient, compassionate home that values connection, routine care, and unconditional love. In return, Guppy offers a once-in-a-lifetime kind of companionship. She is truly special, and there is no other dog quite like her.

Story
Star is a beautiful older puppy who is looking for a loving and caring home to call her own. She started her journey as a shy protector of her sister, but she has blossomed into a happy girl who loves to choose her own adventures—whether that’s a solo nap in her crate, a group snuggle on the sofa or picking out a toy and playing in the yard. The Highlights: • Fully House-trained: She knows exactly how to use the yard! • Expert Napper: Star is a "work-from-home" pro and is happy to snooze while you handle your Zoom calls. • Social Butterfly: Great with large and small dogs. She’s a playful pup who loves a good game of tag. Star does have a silly side—she’s a loud snorer and sometimes gets a little too excited when guests arrive—but her sweetness is unmatched. She’s looking for a home with soft blankets, plenty of toys, and a family who doesn't mind a little happy snoring at night!
