Story
Hello world, I’m Cheesecake—yes, like the dessert, and just as sweet (with a little bit of sass)! I’m a squishy-faced, wiggly-bummed English Bulldog, around 5 or 6 years young, and I’m currently accepting applications for my forever snuggle squad. My vibe? Think: spa day every day. I’m all about the chill life—sunbathing like a pro, gnawing on my favorite tough toys, and drifting into the kind of naps dreams are made of (bonus points if I get to snore like a tiny freight train). Now, I do come with a shy side, especially when meeting new folks—men in particular can take me a little longer to warm up to. But give me time, patience, and a consistent routine, and BAM! I’ll be your ride-or-die couch buddy. I’m looking for a low-key, introvert-friendly household where people get my need for space and slow introductions. I’m cool with mellow doggie roommates as long as we meet politely and don’t rush into anything serious (boundaries, people!). Crate life? Oh, I LOVE it. My crate is my personal zen den—safe, structured, and 100% Cheesecake-approved. I’ve also got 12 weeks of professional training under my (adorable) belt thanks to Lee Johnson of BeSpokeK9, and I come with a lifetime membership to the Cheesecake Glow-Up Club: Ongoing group classes 1:1 training sessions Boarding options Priority swimming pool access (yes, I have pool perks!) And support from my trainer for life—shoutout to @boooshank on Instagram! So, what do you say? Ready to add a little bulldog magic to your life? I’m currently being fostered in Novato, CA, and would love to meet you. If you’re into soulful eyes, a snuggly squish, and a pup who’s working hard to be her best self, I’m your girl. Apply to adopt me at www.californiabullyrescue.org/adopt. I’ll be waiting (probably napping, but still waiting).

Story
Nugget is an introvert's best friend! He's medium energy, loves going out for walks and he walks well on leash, is crate trained, and respects established thresholds. He enjoys sunbathing, splooting, rolling around in the grass, chasing the water hose / sprinkler, napping after exercise, and is very food motivated. Nugget is slow to trust - he needs time to get to know you and does best in a calm, structured environment. While Nugs is not a social butterfly, when he bonds with someone he bonds for life. Once he trusts you he turns into a giant cuddle bug who melts when given affection. Nugs is dog friendly, and responds well to slow introductions. If you would like to meet Nugget, please fill out our adoption application on our website www.cabullyrescue.org/adopt Location: Lakewood, CA

Story
Meet Reggie, the 3-year-old grey Pitbull with a heart as big as his zoomies! 🐾 He’s a snuggle enthusiast, especially with his foster sister, but don’t let that fool you—when it’s time to play, this guy brings the energy! From meeting dogs of all sizes (he’s a fan of the little ones, but his playful nature might get a little too rambunctious for them) to running through fresh snow like it’s his personal race track, Reggie’s always up for an adventure. 🏃‍♂️❄️ He’s a people lover through and through—kids, adults, you name it, he’s your biggest fan. And if there’s a yak treat in sight? You’ve just made his day! 🧀 When he’s not zooming around or getting belly rubs, you’ll find him giving the vacuum a very disapproving stare (he’s not a fan, trust us). And squirrels? Yeah, he’s still working on the whole “relax and enjoy nature” thing when they’re around. Reggie is looking for his forever family—someone who can keep up with his boundless energy, share a few treats, and maybe even join him for a walk (bonus points if you like snow!) Reggie is located in Walnut Creek, CA

Story
Pantera is a beautiful 3 to 4-year-old pitbull terrier mix that was rescued from the Stockton Shelter after being there for over three months. Pantera had a litter of eight puppies in the shelter and all of them had been adopted but sadly she was left there all by herself waiting and waiting to be saved, but that never happened and she was scheduled to be euthanized. However, Pantera has a zest for life that was obvious to everybody, and that hasn't changed! After leaving the shelter, she became a favorite of everyone that has met her. She is very people friendly, she is very dog friendly, she will be a very loyal companion. This girl loves toys, loves the ball, but she is also content to sit and chill by your side on the couch. She's a perfect temperament and past the crazy puppy stage but still likes to have fun and will be a great match for a variety of homes. After all she's been through being used over and over for breeding we can't wait to find her the best forever home.

Story
Meet Gertie, the fun-sized tiny beauty with a heart as big as her tail wags! This 2-year-old Pittie/Aussie mix is 100% made of snuggles, zoomies, and pure joy. She’s a professional people greeter—if you’ve got a pulse, she’s got tail thumps for you. And once you make it to VIP (Very Important Pal) status? Prepare for a tail drumroll every time you walk in the room. Gertie’s not just all looks, she's got manners, too—potty trained and crate-savvy, though she much prefers being your fuzzy shadow. And if you’re a fan of soft things (who isn’t?), get ready. Her fur is basically a cloud wearing a dog costume. She is dog friendly with other dogs her size or larger given slow and proper intros. She absolutely loves to play and can keep up all day! Basically: she’s cute, she’s cuddly, and she’s ready to be your new best friend. Story
This is Yara! She is just an itty bitty little pittie mix, less than 40lbs! She’s a great dog. She’s sweet, playful and so cuddly. She loves her food time and will wait patiently until her bowl is set down. She loves her toys and will just take them and play outside on the lawn. She loves meeting new people and isn’t shy. She’s a pro in the car! Also crate and house trained. She loves looking out the window on car rides, walking on the leash. She walks great, and would be great as a running partner. Probably no kitties or small animals in the home for Yara they are a bit too interesting for her! Yara is being fostered in Sacramento, CA.
