Story
Hello! I'm Graceful Gracie! My favorite things to do are going for walks in the sunshine, playing fetch in the yard with my volunteer buddies and cuddling up for snuggles while soaking up every ounce of their love and attention. But the BESTEST THINGS EVER are those stuffie toys with squeakers inside! They just make my day! You'll find me carrying a stuffie as I strut about the yard and sometimes on my walks too. On my way back to my kennel, I stop by the Volunteers' Office to find new toys, which I'll then proceed to hide. My volunteer buddies tell me I look super cute while doing that. I like to run the yard fence with friendly doggos, but I can be quite selective and may bark if I'm not comfortable with some of them. I'll 'Sit' when asked to, but most times all you'll need to do is crinkle a treat bag to get me to be a gooooo girl. I'm a foodie at heart, and sometimes, in my excitement to get to treats, I forget my manners and dive right in with all the enthusiasm of a kid in a candy store. With my exuberant nature and penchant for treat-gobbling, I can be a bit overwhelming for the small hooman kiddos. I wouldn't want to accidentally knock them over with my over-enthusiastic antics so it's best that I go to a home without small children. But hey, there's so much more to me than my love for snacks. You see, I may not be able to speak your language, but I've got plenty to say with my wagging tail, silly lopsided ears, soulful eyes, and adorable head tilts. I've been told I have quite the expressive face. I'm a quick learner and am always eager to please. With a little patience, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement, I can be the doggo of your dreams! Gracie is a beautiful female Shepherd or Border Collie type mix who currently weighs 87 lbs. She was brought to our shelter on 1/23/24 after being found in Pleasanton. She hasn't been reclaimed by her previous family, so she's now looking for a new home! She has been vaccinated, spayed, and micro-chipped.

Story
Hello, I'm Riley! Like many Husky mixes, I might seem a tad bit aloof at first, but give me a chance, and you'll quickly discover the friendly, fun side of me. While I'm not the biggest cuddler, I do enjoy lounging in the yard and spending quality time getting praise and pets from my volunteer friends. My favorite pastimes include frolicking in the yard, often with a toy in my mouth, rolling in the grass, and running and playing with my friendly doggo pals in neighboring yards. I also love practicing my agility skills on the agility equipment in the play yards, and going for leisurely walks, taking in the sights and smells along the way. Don't be fooled by my handsomeness - yours truly has got brains to match! I've been learning obedience skills, like "Sit'', "Down'', "Come Back'' and "Drop'' a toy. I'm a young guy still, and can also be a bit of an introvert sometimes, so for now I think I'd prefer a home with adults and teens. Riley is a young male German Shepherd and Husky mix (our best guess) who currently weighs 55 lbs. He was brought to our shelter on 2/29/24 after being found in Livermore. He hasn't been reclaimed by his previous person, so he's now looking for a new home! He has been vaccinated, and is already neutered and micro-chipped. He's ready to go home right away!

Story
This is what Niner's foster had to say about him:"He is a super fast runner and top notch walker! He rode well in the car, very excited about looking out the window. At one point he flew around me in tight circles, just overcome with joy. We walked about 3 miles and he never got tired. He didn't seem to have much of a reaction to other dogs we saw, just a few barks, then eagerly back to the task at hand - walking! At first he didn't seem too interested in me, but after we got back to the car, he hopped into my lap for a long cuddle session. Niner would make an ideal companion for someone who already walks daily or is interested in having an enthusiastic exercise partner. Niner is a happy, well adjusted little guy who generated a lot of interest from other park visitors, eliciting smiles and comments about how cute he is. What a dear little guy!" Story
Meet Lola, an exuberant and lovable dog with a kind soul and a unique condition that makes her even more special. Lola occasionally experiences fainting-like episodes of muscle weakness triggered by strong emotions like excitement or happiness. Despite this challenge, Lola remains a loving and affectionate companion, eagerly seeking cuddles and playtime. While we know she'll demonstrate her zest for life by jumping for joy, she'll thrive best in a calm and supportive environment where she can enjoy the simple joys of life alongside her human family. If you're ready to open your heart to a furry friend who will fill your days with love and laughter, Lola is waiting to steal your heart. Primary Color: Brown Weight: 68.7 Age: 1yrs 10mths 2wks

Story
Hi there! I'm Gloria, your daily dose of paw-sitivity! Anyone who meets me can see I am full of LOVE and excitement when I greet you with my contagious smile. The best part of my day is when a volunteer friend comes to spend time with me in the yard or take me for a walk. From the tip of my nose all the way down to the tip of my tail, my whole body wiggles with excitement! I call this my happy dance and when you come to meet me, you'll be able to see it too and dance along! Once we are outside, the volunteers say I walk well on leash and seem to like almost every dog I meet. And since I love people and love to please them, not to mention that I'm well-mannered on walks, I might make a good first dog for someone. I've been called a "cuddle bug and snuggle bug by my volunteer buddies because I love to be loved on and give it right back. Nothing beats a good scratch and nice pets, followed by belly rubs! In between pets I like to show off the skills I've learned which include "sit, "down, and earning my treats on the agility equipment. I think you'd be impressed by my ability to go up and down the ramp so quickly, and I literally will jump through hoops for you! If you're looking for some extra sunshine in your life, I'm your girl. I'm happy to be by your side, whether it's lounging on the couch watching our favorite shows, enjoying the weather outside on a walk, playing with toys, cuddling, or all of the above!! I'm paw-sitive I'd make the perfect sidekick! Gloria is a female bully breed mix. She is approximately 6 years old, and currently weighs 60 lbs. She was brought to our shelter on 3/18/24 after being found in Castro Valley. She hasn't been reclaimed by her previous person, so she's now looking for a new home! She has been vaccinated, is already spayed, and will be micro-chipped before going to her new home.
