Story

Obi is a 7-year-old chihuahua mix who spent his first two years in a shelter. We intended to be his forever home, but after five years, major life changes now require us to find him a new family. Mellow and quiet, Obi loves cozying up in blankets all day and enjoys snuggles and cuddles. Once he forms a connection, he becomes very lovey-dovey. At home, he sleeps a lot and rarely barks. Short walks in quiet areas are his favorite, especially when he gets to sniff everything at his own pace. He isn’t a high-energy dog, so working from home with him close by is easy and distraction-free. Food is a huge motivator for him. Kongs and rodent-shaped stuffed animals are his favorite toys. He knows all the main commands and is fully house-trained. Although he has anxiety and can be protective of his parents, he’s also been incredibly brave and smart, making real progress in facing his fears. He deserves the chance to keep healing and building confidence with an experienced dog owner.

My name is Mika and I am 3 lb pomeranian puppy. My mommy got me when I was 8 weeks old but due to job circumstances, she is unable to stay at home to take care of me. I know how to sit, come, and give you my paw. I am somewhat potty trained but I forget where is the pee pad when I'm playing or chewing my toys. I like to play with my human especially her feet and toes. I love to kiss faces and I love attention. People say puppies need 20 hours of sleep but I love to play so I can stay up for longer if I get the attention.

He adapted and thrived quickly in foster care. Being friendly, affectionate, and aimed to please, he can easily befriend strangers and kids; also gets along well with dogs and cats as well. His favorite pastime is hanging out with doggie play pals in the park, car riding and his daily walks. Rex would be a great candidate for any type of family who is looking for a loyal and loving companion pet. Rex’s rescue story: Rex has been wandering in a park for a while before a dog lover noticed him then gave him food. The dog lover is an expatriate in Taiwan who already has dogs at home therefore has no space for Rex. All she can do is to offer food and find support to help Rex. We responded to the request and take Rex into our adoption program. We suppose that Rex used to be a family dog since he is very close to humans, but unfortunately got abandoned. Rex was placed with a foster home after a complete health check. Rex received a clean bill of health and is patiently waiting for his 2nd chance to join his forever home. Scooby is a handsome young pup, well-mannered, cuddly and friendly. Scooby is very close to people, and he heeds commands well. He’s very food motivated, so is easy to befriend and thrive in new environment. He is sociable around people of all ages, also good with other dogs and super friendly with cats too. About Scooby’s rescue: Scooby’s mother and his five puppies wandered to a fishery in central Taiwan suburb. The fishery owner tried many nasty means to drive them away. They were finally wounded up in the shelter. Scooby being playful and pleasant by nature, he was adopted soon. Unfortunately, his owner got into trouble with the police and had to send him back to the shelter. A second owner kept Scooby for a short time but due to his inexperience with dogs, Scooby was given up shortly after. The rescuer decided to place Scooby under the overseas adoption program to give this sweet dog a second chance.
