Story
Adopt Peppy! Peppy is a ~60-lb sweetheart with the perfect blend of calm companion and playful goofball. She’s fully potty trained, does great in a crate, and has earned free-roam privileges in her foster home—she truly wants to be a good girl. Her estimated birthday is 10/21/2024. While Peppy can be a little shy when first meeting new people, once she feels safe, her affectionate personality shines. She bonds deeply with her people and loves staying close—whether that means following her foster mom from room to room or curling up at night for some serious big-spoon cuddles. Peppy is wonderfully social with animals and would thrive in a home with furry friends. She adores cats (yes, really!)—she grooms them, cuddles them, and even plays gently. She also loves other dogs and has the sweetest play style, complete with heart-melting play bows. A confident canine buddy could help her continue building confidence, though it’s not required. At home, Peppy is relaxed and easygoing, with occasional bursts of puppy-like energy that include joyful jumps, rolls, and toy-toting parades to the bed. She’s not particularly food-motivated, but she’s eager to please and responds beautifully to gentle guidance. She’s also incredibly tolerant and trusting—nail trims, ear cleanings, handling, and car rides are all no problem for this gentle girl. New sights and sounds can make Peppy a little nervous at first (like loud noises or unfamiliar people on walks), but she looks to her human for reassurance and settles quickly with calm support. She’s alert and will let you know if something unfamiliar is happening, then happily relaxes once she knows all is well. Overall, Peppy is a loving, loyal, low-key companion who just wants to feel safe, loved, and included. If she had a job, it would absolutely be professional Netflix reviewer and full-time cuddle buddy. Peppy is ready to bring her gentle heart and quiet joy into a forever home—could that be yours? Apply to adopt Peppy here: sayvanimals.org/adopt (PLEASE NOTE: Despite what Petfinder, AdoptaPet and other aggregation services say, the FIRST STEP in our process is to submit an application. Thank you!)

Story
Meet Millow (Profession: Certified Cutie) Millow is a small cream-colored dog with soft, wavy hair and a face that looks like it was designed to get him whatever he wants. We suspect he’s a small breed mix, possibly a poodle mix, but what we do know for sure is that he is absolutely adorable and 100% good boy material. Millow’s past is a bit of a mystery. His previous owner surrendered him, and that chapter is now closed. What matters is that Millow is ready for a much better life — one filled with love, safety, and people who will never question how lucky they are to have him. Millow is sweet, gentle, and gets along wonderfully with cats, dogs, and kids. He’s the kind of dog who fits right in wherever he goes, like he’s always belonged there. Whether he’s quietly hanging out or flashing that irresistible little face, Millow has a way of making everyone fall for him almost instantly. Millow is looking for a forever home that will adore him as much as he deserves — bonus points if you appreciate wavy hair, soulful eyes, and a dog who will absolutely steal your heart (and probably your couch). If you’re ready to give a sweet little mystery pup the happy ending he’s been waiting for, Millow is ready to meet you. Story
Scooby Dooby Doo is ready to find his forever family! Scooby Dooby Doo is a happy, energetic little guy who’s ready to bring fun and love into his forever home! His foster reports that he’s potty trained and doing great with his routine. His estimated birthday is 4/1/2025 and he is a small little guy (fully grown). Scooby is truly a social butterfly — he’s friendly with both men and women and has done wonderfully with children. He loves making friends and fits right in with his foster fur siblings. When he met a cat, Scooby was eager to play… unfortunately, the cat didn’t quite share his enthusiasm (Scooby still thinks it was worth a try!). Don’t let his size fool you — Scooby has some serious hops! When treats are involved, he can jump impressively high. If he had a career, he’d definitely be a professional apple picker thanks to those athletic leaps. He also loves a good game of tug-of-war and is always up for playtime. Scooby’s energy level is best described as well-balanced. He’s very active, curious, and eager to explore, but he also knows how to settle down and relax. He’s a quick learner who enjoys staying engaged, making him a great match for someone looking for both a playful companion and a cuddly sidekick. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, friendly pup with personality for days, Scooby Dooby Doo might just be your perfect match! Story
Meet Hulk! Don’t let the name fool you—Hulk is more heart than muscle! Born on 12/1/2022, this incredibly handsome and playful pup is the perfect blend of energy, affection and striking good looks. He’s always up for a walk in the park or a good game of fetch, tug-of-war or hide-and-seek but when playtime’s over, he’s a world-class snuggler who loves curling up for a nap with his people. Hulk is good with other dogs, friendly with cats, and loves spending time with older kids who can match his playful energy. He’s incredibly smart and already knows his basic commands: sit, down, off, leave it, kennel, and come. Plus, he’s crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on a leash. Car rides? He’s your copilot! If you are looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who is as sweet as he is smart, Hulk is your guy! Story
Meet Hershey: Smart, Sweet, and Powered by Chew Toys Hershey is a medium-sized black-and-white mixed breed with an athletic build, adorable ears that like to stand at attention, and a face that makes people instantly fall in love. He’s not as thick-bodied as his sister Becky, but don’t worry — he still fully appreciates a good treat. Hershey loves people. Truly loves them. He’s friendly with dogs and cats and adapts to new situations like a total pro. New places, new routines, new friends — Hershey takes it all in stride with a wagging tail and curious mind. This boy is smart. Like, “learns things way faster than you expect” smart. He’s very obedient, eager to please, and highly treat-motivated, which makes training a fun and rewarding experience. Hershey also loves toys, especially the kind he can chew on — and fair warning, he is extremely talented at destroying them. Durable toys are a must. Hershey is looking for a home that will appreciate his intelligence, keep his brain busy, and supply him with plenty of tough toys, treats, and love. If you want a loyal, clever companion who’s equal parts cuddle-worthy and entertaining, Hershey is ready to meet you.
