Story
Meet Tater – your future best friend! <3 Tater’s estimated birthday is 12.20.2020 and he is about 77 lbs. Tater is the perfect mix of playful and affectionate, always ready to brighten your day with his quirky personality and loving heart. This sweet boy absolutely adores people of all ages and has a special bond with his foster mama. He’s curious, friendly, and loves attention—just the right amount, never too pushy! Tater is a social pup who gets along well with dogs and most cats. He enjoys the company of his furry foster siblings, respecting the older pup in the house while occasionally showing interest in a friendly game of chase. He takes cues well (even from a cat’s swat!) and would thrive with a playful doggy companion. When his humans come home, he’ll happily greet you with a joyful wiggle and some happy jumps, then lean in for some well-earned pets. He loves being close to his people but isn’t overly needy—just the perfect balance of cuddly and independent. Tater is also a toy fanatic! If he had a dream job, he’d be a professional toy tester. He especially loves squeaky toys, though he tends to be a bit of a toy destroyer (so tough toys are a must!). He’ll proudly carry his toy around, squeaking away in happiness, and he’s always up for a fun game of fetch. Though he has a chill personality most of the time, Tater gets bursts of playful energy, making him a fantastic mix of relaxed and fun-loving. He enjoys car rides, making him an ideal adventure buddy. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and entertaining companion, Tater might just be your perfect match! Could you be the forever home that he’s been dreaming of? Story
Adopt Blanca! Blanca is a sweet, sensitive girl who is ready to find a patient family to call her own. Once she feels safe, her gentle personality starts to shine. Blanca’s estimated birthday is June 12, 2021. She’s mostly potty trained and continues to do well with routine and encouragement. Blanca can be shy when meeting new people, so she’ll need an adopter who understands that trust takes time. With patience, kindness, and positive reinforcement, she has already started to blossom in her foster home. Blanca enjoys being around her people and likes to keep an eye on everything going on — if she had a job, she’d definitely be the household security guard! She’s very observant and loves taking cues from the other dogs around her. When they get excited, she can’t help but join in. She has done well meeting other dogs and may benefit from a confident canine friend to help show her the ropes. Blanca is very curious about cats and tends to chase them, so a home without cats would likely be the best fit. Because she can be nervous with handling and new situations, Blanca would do best in a calm home with older children who understand how to respect her space and let her approach at her own pace. Blanca may start off a little shy, but for the right person willing to give her time and patience, she has the potential to become an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. Could you be the person who helps Blanca feel safe and loved forever? Apply to adopt Blanca here: sayvanimals.org/adopt ** Some or all of Blanca’s photos were taken by Candice C. Cusic Photography ** (PLEASE NOTE: Despite what PetFinder, AdoptAPet and other aggregation software systems state - the first step is to submit an application via the link above, NOT send a message through their platforms. Thank you!)

Story
Meet Hershey: Smart, Sweet, and Powered by Chew Toys Hershey is a medium-sized black-and-white mixed breed with an athletic build, adorable ears that like to stand at attention, and a face that makes people instantly fall in love. He’s not as thick-bodied as his sister Becky, but don’t worry — he still fully appreciates a good treat. Hershey loves people. Truly loves them. He’s friendly with dogs and cats and adapts to new situations like a total pro. New places, new routines, new friends — Hershey takes it all in stride with a wagging tail and curious mind. This boy is smart. Like, “learns things way faster than you expect” smart. He’s very obedient, eager to please, and highly treat-motivated, which makes training a fun and rewarding experience. Hershey also loves toys, especially the kind he can chew on — and fair warning, he is extremely talented at destroying them. Durable toys are a must. Hershey is looking for a home that will appreciate his intelligence, keep his brain busy, and supply him with plenty of tough toys, treats, and love. If you want a loyal, clever companion who’s equal parts cuddle-worthy and entertaining, Hershey is ready to meet you. Story
We adopted Viggy when she was 9 weeks old from a rescue in Missouri. She is now 11 years old as of March. Viggy is a wonderful, loyal, healthy dog who loves to snuggle, play fetch, and chew on sticks.Viggy needs a quiet home with no small children. We have two small kids running around and both parents working, and the constant noise and commotion of the house causes Viggy a lot of anxiety and stress. She would do well in a home with older children or just adults. She has never bitten or snapped at any children, so visiting children, such as grandkids, would be safe around her.Viggy is good off leash when there are no other animals around and will not run away. She loves to be right by your side at all times. Viggy is house broken and trained. She can sit, stay, come, go to her crate, roll over, and play dead. Unfortunately for us and for her, she is not thriving in our house and we would love for her to go someone who can give her the right, calm environment she needs.

Story
Meet Peanut – Your future sidekick! If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion who will keep you smiling every day, Peanut might just be your perfect match. This cutie’s estimated birthday is 9.24.2023. This active, playful pup absolutely loves being around his people. He’ll happily trot over for pets, lean in for cuddles, and soak up all the attention you’re willing to give. One of his cutest quirks? If you pick him up and gently pet his head, he’ll drift right off to sleep—an instant heart-melter. Peanut is potty trained and does well with both men and women. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would love a playful canine companion to romp around with. He doesn’t seem to mind cats, either. He’s always up for an adventure, whether it’s going on walks or chasing after his favorite ball. As a higher-energy pup, Peanut will thrive with an adopter who is committed to continuing his training and keeping him active and engaged. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be part of everything you do and can sometimes be a little vocal or have trouble being alone, so he’ll do best in a home where he gets plenty of attention, interaction, and structure. If Peanut had a job, he’d be your enthusiastic assistant—always by your side, ready to “help” with whatever the day brings (or at least supervise it!). Peanut’s ideal home would include an active household with other playful dogs. He’s sweet, silly, and full of love—just waiting for the right person to make him part of their life. Ready to meet Peanut?
