Story
Adopt Blanca — a gentle soul looking for the patient person she's been waiting for. Blanca has come a long way since arriving in foster care, and watching her confidence grow has been nothing short of incredible. Once a dog who kept her tail tucked and hid away, she now happily explores her home, asks for affection, enjoys daily brushing, and has discovered just how wonderful it is to be loved. This beautiful pup's estimated birthday is 6.12.2021. Once you've earned Blanca's trust, you'll have a devoted shadow. She'll stand on her back legs to ask for pets, roll over for belly rubs, shower you with kisses, and happily spend the day curled up in your lap. She's playful without being over-the-top and has a hilarious habit of "collecting treasures" — from socks to stuffed animals (and even the occasional vegetable!) — to stash in her bed. Her favorite toys? The biggest squeaky toys she can find. Blanca gets along well with most dogs that she’s met in the past and has done wonderfully living with cats. She's respectful of her feline friends and will occasionally get excited if one runs by, but she's easily redirected and has even been known to nap beside them. Because of her past, Blanca does have some special needs. She has a significant fear of leashes and being confined, so she'll need a securely fenced yard where she can safely go outside. She's house-trained with a consistent routine but benefits from an attentive adopter who can help her stay on schedule. She's also timid with new people and needs time to warm up, but patience is always rewarded with her affectionate, loving personality. Blanca would do best in a calm, adult home without children. Her ideal family is someone who is home often, enjoys a loyal companion, and understands that trust is built over time. She'll also need regular grooming and an adopter who is comfortable keeping up with her coat care. Blanca is looking for a patient home. If you're willing to let her move at her own pace, she'll repay you with unconditional love, endless cuddles, and a lifetime of companionship. Apply to adopt Blanca here: sayvanimals.org/adopt ** Some or all of Blanca’s photos were taken by Candice C. Cusic Photography ** (PLEASE NOTE: Despite what PetFinder, AdoptAPet and other aggregation software systems state - the first step is to submit an application via the link above, NOT send a message through their platforms. Story
Meet Chato! Some dogs have larger-than-life personalities, and some simply have the biggest hearts. Chato is the kind of dog who makes everyone feel like they're his favorite person. His estimated birthday 11/17/2018. This sweet, gentle boy is happiest when he's close to the people he loves. Whether you're cooking dinner, working from home, or relaxing on the couch, Chato will happily follow along, making sure you're always within sight. He's incredibly affectionate and loves being talked to, petted, and, of course, giving plenty of kisses in return. Chato has a calm, easygoing personality that makes him a wonderful companion. While he enjoys playing with his favorite stuffed toys and going for walks, he's just as content curling up on the couch for a nap. He's fully potty trained, has excellent house manners, and can be left loose in the home while you're away, where he'll spend his time relaxing with his canine friends. One of Chato's greatest qualities is how much he loves everyone. He's wonderful with children and enjoys following them around for attention and affection. He's equally happy around other dogs, making friends with pups of every size, from tiny Chihuahuas to playful Huskies. He's even cat-friendly, happily accepting affection from feline friends without a second thought. Chato does have a few medical quirks that make him unique. He has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), a neurological condition that causes him to be a little wobbly, as well as a deformity that causes him to walk on his ankles. Neither slows him down or keeps him from enjoying life. He still loves his walks, enjoys playtime, and never lets his differences define him. He also takes a daily medication to manage mild hypothyroidism, which is easy to maintain. Like any lovable pup, Chato has a few funny habits. He's convinced that socks belong in his toy collection, so don't be surprised if one goes missing every now and then! He's also very food motivated and never says no to a tasty treat, especially watermelon. Chato's ideal home would include another friendly dog or children to share his days with, though more than anything, he's looking for a family who will love him as much as he'll love them. If you're searching for a loyal companion who will fill your home with quiet companionship, gentle affection, and unconditional love, Chato is ready to meet you. Story
Meet Tater – your future best friend! <3 Tater’s estimated birthday is 12.20.2020 and he is about 77 lbs. Tater is the perfect mix of playful and affectionate, always ready to brighten your day with his quirky personality and loving heart. This sweet boy absolutely adores people of all ages and has a special bond with his foster mama. He’s curious, friendly, and loves attention—just the right amount, never too pushy! Tater is a social pup who gets along well with dogs and most cats. He enjoys the company of his furry foster siblings, respecting the older pup in the house while occasionally showing interest in a friendly game of chase. He takes cues well (even from a cat’s swat!) and would thrive with a playful doggy companion. When his humans come home, he’ll happily greet you with a joyful wiggle and some happy jumps, then lean in for some well-earned pets. He loves being close to his people but isn’t overly needy—just the perfect balance of cuddly and independent. Tater is also a toy fanatic! If he had a dream job, he’d be a professional toy tester. He especially loves squeaky toys, though he tends to be a bit of a toy destroyer (so tough toys are a must!). He’ll proudly carry his toy around, squeaking away in happiness, and he’s always up for a fun game of fetch. Though he has a chill personality most of the time, Tater gets bursts of playful energy, making him a fantastic mix of relaxed and fun-loving. He enjoys car rides, making him an ideal adventure buddy. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and entertaining companion, Tater might just be your perfect match! Could you be the forever home that he’s been dreaming of? Story
Looking for the Right Home for Our Beloved Boy ❤️ This is one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever made. Our 7-year-old American Staffy/Boxer mix is deeply loved, but as our family grows, we feel finding a home better suited to his needs is the safest choice for everyone. He is incredibly loyal, affectionate, goofy, and devoted to the people he trusts. Once you’re his person, he’ll be your shadow, cuddle buddy, and self-appointed home security system. Honest disclosure: he is not comfortable with other animals and has bitten dogs in the past. He can be fearful of some men and has nipped before. He needs an experienced owner, no young children, and a home where he is the only pet. We believe he’d thrive with a single woman or a patient couple who can provide a calm, structured environment. He’s crate trained, does well on walks, and has so much love to give. We aren’t rehoming him because we don’t love him—we’re doing it because we do. Finding the right home is our top priority. ❤️

Story
Meet Nini! Nini is a happy, adventurous puppy who is ready to find the forever family she's been waiting for. Born on approximately March 1, 2026, she is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog and is looking for an active home that will help her continue learning and exploring the world. Nini's journey began on the streets of Nexquipayac, Mexico, where she was born to a stray mother who had never been given the opportunity to be spayed. When she was only a few weeks old, Nini and nearly 20 other puppies were abandoned alongside three stray mother dogs. Thankfully, Happy Pawtitas rescued them, ensuring the mother dogs were spayed and vaccinated while the puppies received the medical care they needed to thrive. Since she was just one month old, Nini has been growing up in a loving foster home. She is fully vaccinated, including rabies, dewormed, spayed, healthy, and ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family of her own. Nini is full of energy and loves to stay active. She enjoys walks, running around the yard, and playing with her toys. One of her favorite enrichment activities is figuring out how to get treats from a plastic bottle, and she's always excited for a tasty snack of apples or watermelon. Curious and confident, Nini loves to explore her surroundings and would do best with a securely fenced yard or a family committed to keeping her safely on a leash while she continues to learn. Like all puppies, Nini will benefit from continued training, consistency, and patience as she grows. In return, she'll reward her family with a lifetime of love, loyalty, and fun-filled adventures. She gets along well with other dogs and is ready to become a wonderful companion for a family prepared to make a lifelong commitment. If you're looking for an affectionate, playful companion to join your family, Nini may be the perfect match. Apply: sayvanimals.org/adopt NOTE: Nini is currently located in Mexico. She would come here with a volunteer once an approved adopter is in place. We are trying to help a couple of dogs from at risk situations. Thank you! [PLEASE NOTE: Despite what Petfinder, AdoptaPet and other aggregation services say, the FIRST STEP in our process is to submit an application. Thank you!]

Story
Meet Zahra! Zahra is a confident, fun-loving puppy with a big personality and is ready to find the forever family she's been waiting for. Born around January 10, 2026, she is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog and is looking for a home that will provide the love, structure, and patience every puppy needs. Zahra's journey began on the streets of Mexico, where she was born to a stray mother. Thankfully, a compassionate woman rescued Zahra and her family, giving them the opportunity for a brighter future. While all of her siblings have already found their forever homes, Zahra is still waiting for her perfect match. She is fully vaccinated, including rabies, dewormed, spayed, healthy, and ready to begin the next chapter of her life. Zahra is an active, confident girl who enjoys running, playing, and exploring. One of her favorite activities is figuring out how to get treats from a plastic bottle, making enrichment games a great way to keep her entertained. While she's not much of a barker, she has plenty of personality and enjoys having her own space. Because Zahra prefers not to share her bed or toys and does not get along with cats, she would do best as the only pet in the home. Like all puppies, she will need continued training, including house training, along with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement as she learns. With the right family, Zahra has all the potential to grow into a loyal and devoted lifelong companion. If you're looking for a smart, spirited companion and are ready to make a lifelong commitment, Zahra may be the perfect addition to your family. Apply: sayvanimals.org/adopt NOTE: Zahra is currently located in Mexico. She would come here with a volunteer once an approved adopter is in place. We are trying to help a couple of dogs from at risk situations. Thank you!
