Story
Medusa would love to be the QUEEN BEE and be appreciated for the alpha she is. She is an American Bully which is a new designer breed (mislabeled English Bulldog, Pittie, Pocketpittie, MicroBully). She is guessed to be 4 years old and around 45 lbs. Short and stocky, she is a healthy and easy dog to care for unlike the other bully breeds. Medusa can be bossy and demanding of attention, jealous when humans talk to the other dogs in her foster home. She is fostered with small and big dogs, but requires correction and supervision to avoid a 'girl fight' She would do best as an only dog to keep the peace and let her enjoy a family. Medusa was pulled from a shelter last year, placed briefly in a home with another bulldog who did not want to share space with her. The setback caused jealousy behaviors which we are working on. Medusa sleeps in a crate when her foster family is not home, at night, she shares a pillow and snuggles in the human bed. Spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm treated/on prevention - She is READY for Adoption FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee includes fee by van transport to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. Story
Ethan is a Charming dude, no doubt Cute and easy to Love. Ethan is a 4 year old, cropped/docked Doberman who is vocal and has separation anxiety. He would do best in a home familiar with the breed but also with another dog for companionship. Ethan is not a confident dog, so he follows the play and activities of other dogs. He gets along with dominant males, gentle with small dogs and respectful of female dogs. Ethan barks and sings loudly until he feels secure. He does not like being confined to a crate or kennel so he will siren bark until released. He has unrestricted yard time at his foster home and enjoys being outside with his dog friends, he will lounge on deck and sunbath instead of chasing squirrels. He does settle when close to a human, will walk in a heel and curl up and sleep in the same room of a person. He is enthusiastic about making friends and being petted, he jumps up to give hugs and would like to be held. Ethan does not bark at strangers, zero protective instincts. He has been crate trained, his foster home routine includes sleeping in a large crate with dog bed overnight - which he has adapted to. He barks constantly during car rides if kenneled. Ethen is microchipped, neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm neglective and on prevention. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee ($550.00) includes transport options to PNW (WA, UT, ID), Midwest (MN, WI, MI, OH, IL, IN) or select New England States (NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT) by pet transport partners. He was in need of calm, companionship and calories. Multiple small meals a day with frequent yard time to support a healthier muscular physique, Ethan has also required behavioral care due to anxiety. Rescue does not complete DNA testing. Story
Joey Dion is a no-nonsense kind of dude, if he wore jeans - they would be heavily starched. Just shy of 2 years-old an all natural red Doberman with a cautious side, he enjoys being part of a pack and playing hard. He pancakes in new situations outside of his foster home, Joey stays quiet -no growling, no barking- and stares at new things and people. When he warms up, he is bossy and vocal, barking for attention. Joey can be too rough with smaller dogs and too assertive for male dogs. He loves being outside, sniffing and running. Crate trained. Seeking a family to continue to socialize this Texas boy. Now neutered, Up to Date on Vaccines, Microchipped, Testing Negative for Heartworms and on Preventions. His current weight is 65 lbs, he is all and lean. Story
Buddy Edward is a middle-aged dude with a beer gut - we are working on his weight! He is the happiest, fattest, little Shih Tzu 'around' - he snorts like a bulldog and waddles! He came to rescue at 18 lbs and has been told by our Vet his bloodwork looks great, but his weight is a concern and obesity will cause problems. His foster has him on a diet, special kibble and only one meal a day. Buddy has curly white and tan fur. He had bald spots due to skin infections which have grown back. Due to breed - in addition to exercise, will require extensive grooming! Regular trips to the Salon *Rescue does not complete DNA testing. Breed is based on documentation provided from the original owner and Vet clinic who saw him prior to rescue. Buddy is fostered with cats, small dogs and big dogs. He loves attention and sitting on his foster mom's lap. He is leash trained and potty trained. Loves car rides and 'going anywhere. This breed has a Life Expectancy is 10-15 years. We are seeking a committed family for this piglet. Buddy came to rescue with two dog siblings after his elderly owners could not afford to care for them and taken to a small shelter. The Animal Control Officer contacted CCR and requested help - the dogs were neglected, dirty and not housetrained. They were clearly loved but owners started to struggle to care for themselves and the pets. Buddy has more housetraining than his younger dog friends. Buddy is now up to date on vaccines, dewormed for gut health, microchipped and neutered. He tested negative for heartworms and is on prevention. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee ($550.00) includes transport options to PNW (WA, UT, ID), Midwest (MN, WI, MI, OH, IL, IN) or select New England States (NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT) by pet transport partners. Due to Buster's size - he is eligible for travel with Southwest Airlines (Houston to any major airport approved by SWAAT) Canadian adopters must drive to the meet locations in USA. Email to Apply! Story
Jimmy Durian was beat up and very shutdown when we met him - he was very sick and underweight, he had been in survival mode outside with his siblings before Animal Control Officers found them. Once in a foster home, Jimmy was crate trained and liked sleeping curled up in his own space. Jimmy is passive and got picked on frequently by bigger male dogs so he was paired up with happy female dogs to play and help him gain confidence. As Jimmy played and had outside time, he gained muscle and started to heal. He would love a dog friend to keep him company as a shy dog - eventually he realized cuddles by humans were just as desirable. Jimmy is overwhelmed by being in public space and lays down when put on a leash. Facebook Reel: https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1X9KpiuDR9/ Seeking a family to continue to socialize this sweet Boy.
