She absolutely loves to zoom around and stretch her legs, and daily walks are one of her favorite activities. She arrived at the shelter as a stray in rough shape, battling a painful skin infection and splayed feet—likely from spending far too long confined to a kennel. Understandably, she was timid and unsure of the world around her. When approached, Patty would simply melt to the floor, hoping to go unnoticed. To help her build confidence, Patty spent plenty of time in our front office, getting used to the daily rhythm of staff and visitors. With patience, kindness, and lots of reassurance, she slowly began to blossom—and what a joy it has been to watch her transformation. Now, Patty’s silly and playful personality shines bright. She absolutely loves toys and will happily rifle through the toy bins to find her next favorite. She has done well with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around.
