Eighty pounds of solid muscle. Big goober personality. Rhaego is a two year old Pittie mix that was found as a stray in the local area. He was then surrendered by his owner as they were unable to keep him and wanted our help to find his never forever home. Rhaego is a big goofball that is packed with power and muscle. He loves toys and playing with other dogs. He`s all tail wags and play bows. Sometimes he doesn`t realize how big he truly is and may knock over little ones on accident. Rhaego needs a strong handler that can handle his strength and muscle. He loves to go on walks and roll around in the grass. He hopes for lots of sunny days and long walks around his neighborhood in the future. His adoption fee is $235, which includes his vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, current heartworm/flea prevention, heartworm test, registered microchip, and neuter.

Story
Taylor is a three year old Cattle Dog mix available for adoption. Taylor has been with us before but unfortunately, her owner did come back for her this time. Taylor does well with other dogs but her cattle dog energy can come off strong in the beginning. Once she settles, she is all play bows and tail wags. No cats for Ms Taylor though. Taylor loves treats and will sit patiently to earn her biscuits. Taylor enjoys going on walks and stretching her legs. She would love an active family that takes her on adventures or strolls around the neighborhood. Her adoption fee is $235, which includes her vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, current heartworm/flea prevention, heartworm test, registered microchip, and spay.

Story
Everyone meet Papaya. Papaya came to JTAC in rough shape. She was `found` by someone and they had brought her in. She smelled horrible of feces, extremely thin, wounds/skin infections, and she had the look of defeat and despair on her face. Underneath all of that, you could see Papaya`s spirit glowing. We loved her outrageous ears that tend flop and do their own thing. Papaya settled in and you could see her confidence flourish. She`s a four year Pittie that`s on the smaller side. She`s about thirty five pounds but still needs to pack on pounds to get to a healthy weight. When she first arrived, Papaya did PHENOMENAL with other dogs and enjoyed their presence. She has been with us for quite some time now and is stressed. She is not a fan of other dogs here so she is looking for a home without other pets while she adjusts and decompresses. She may be open to dogs again once she settles in. She is not a fan of cats. Her adoption fee is $160, which includes her vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, current heartworm/flea prevention, heartworm test, registered microchip, and spay

Story
Introducing Maggie, a four year old Husky/Pomeranian mix available for adoption. Maggie was found loose in the local area until she was brought to us for safety. She has been with us before and when we contacted the microchip owner, she was rehomed and didn`t have the new owners information. Maggie completed her stray hold, in case her new owners were looking for her but unfortunately no one came. Maggie is ready for her next chapter and ready to be adopted! Maggie is a smaller girl, weighing about 25 pounds. She`s like a miniature Husky with all the sass! She is a little over four years old and has a stunning Husky features like a soft coat, fluffy curly tail, and icy blue eyes. Yes, she is gorgeous and absolutely a doll but she is also a Husky. Huskies like to run and need to be worked with. They like to go on long walks, can play for hours, and have the sassiest attitudes on top of everything. Maggie is doing well at the shelter and is very affectionate but don`t let her looks fool you. She has all the Husky attitude and sass. Huskies can be on a whole other level at times but with discipline, exercise, and training, they can be very rewarding and great companions! Maggie does well with other dogs but is very independent. She likes to be top dog but has done well in playgroups with dogs that don`t butt heads with her sassy personality. Her adoption fee is $235, which includes her vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, current heartworm/flea prevention, heartworm test, registered microchip, and spay. Story
Everyone meet Tails, a seven month old Great Dane/Lab/Hound mix available for adoption. Tails came to JTAC as a stray and was a wiggly/outgoing stray. She was full of energy and the pure definition of bull in a china shop. She`s a large girl that loves to greet her visitors with tail wags and sloppy kisses. Tails has no idea how big she is with her long legs and lanky body. She`s quite the character but we love her derpy personality and goofy wiggles. Tails does great with other dogs that can handle her high energy. She just loves to play and wrestle. Tails also does well with corrections and will take note when to bring it down a notch. Tails will need a home that will continue her training and obedience. She would benefit from having another dog at home or an active family. Her adoption fee is $235, which includes her vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, current heartworm/flea prevention, heartworm test, registered microchip, and spay. Story
Introducing Nymeria, a six month old Husky available for adoption...again. Nymeria was adopted a few months ago but was recently surrendered as she was too much for the family. We always educate potential adopters to the best we can, especially with certain breeds. They did put her in the Petco puppy program but Huskies require more training than a normal pup (as many would say). Nymeria is a bouncy girl that enjoys playing, zooming, and being active. She loves wrestling in her playgroup and would love a buddy at home. We would say no apartments for Nymeria as she is quite local and can be anxious when left alone. Yes, she is gorgeous and absolutely a doll but she is also a Husky. Huskies like to run and need to be worked with. They like to go on long walks, can play for hours, and have the sassiest attitudes on top of everything. She is doing well at the shelter and is very affectionate but don`t let her looks fool you. She has all the Husky attitude and sass. Huskies can be on a whole other level at times but with discipline, exercise, and training, they can be very rewarding and great companions! (Again, DO YOUR RESEARCH). Nymeria needs an active home that will take training and exercising her seriously. Her adoption fee is $75, which includes her vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, current heartworm/flea prevention, heartworm test, and registered microchip. She is already spayed! Call our office for adoption details at 815-725-0333. Located in Joliet, IL.
