Story
Kenzie is a 7-month-old, 20-pound Terrier mix who is officially ready to start her next chapter! After coming to us as a stray and patiently completing her stray hold, this spunky little girl is more than ready to find a forever family to call her own. Kenzie does great with other dogs and would love a playful canine companion to help her burn off some of her puppy energy. She absolutely loves to zoom around and stretch her legs, and daily walks are one of her favorite activities. Whether it’s exploring the neighborhood or racing around the yard, Kenzie is happiest when she’s on the move. Kenzie does have an important note for potential adopters — she likes to use her voice! Because she can be a bit of a barker, apartment living may not be the best fit for her unless you’re prepared for a possible complaint or two. A home with a yard where she can safely run and play would be ideal. If you’re looking for a fun, energetic, and social pup to add excitement and companionship to your life, Kenzie might just be your perfect match. She’s ready to leave her stray days behind and start making happy memories with her forever family. Her adoption fee is $200, which includes her vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, current heartworm/flea prevention, heartworm test, registered microchip, and spay. She is already fixed! Call our office for adoption details at 815-725-0333. Located in Joliet, IL.

Story
Meet Sidra, a sweet three-year-old Pittie with a heart as gentle as her eyes. When she came to us as a stray, Sidra was thin, full of parasites, and showed signs of a rough past. Now, with the care and love she deserves, she’s thriving and has discovered the joy of simple comforts—her own blanket, regular meals, and a safe space to call her own. Sidra adores affection and treats, and she loves earning them before plopping down beside you for some quiet companionship. She’s friendly with other dogs, so a mellow canine friend at home would be a great match. No small dogs or cats. Sidra is ready to find a loving family who will shower her with the care and attention she’s always deserved. Her adoption fee is $200, which includes her vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, current heartworm/flea prevention, heartworm test, registered microchip, and spay. She is already fixed! Story
Meet Halo, our beautiful two-year-old Shepherd who’s ready to shine in her forever home! Halo was found loose in a local neighborhood and, sadly, was never reclaimed. While she’s enjoyed her time with us, she’s more than ready to trade shelter life for a cozy home and a family to call her own. Halo does wonderful with other dogs and absolutely loves to play. You’ll often catch her doing the cutest play bows before romping around with her canine friends. She has a fun, social personality and would likely thrive in a home with another playful pup. One of Halo’s favorite parts of the day is her morning walks. She loves getting out to stretch her legs, sniff around, and take in the fresh air. With warmer weather and sunshine on the way, she’s dreaming of all the outdoor adventures still to come — hiking trails, long neighborhood strolls, and maybe even some backyard zoomies. Halo is a sweet, active girl who would do best with a family ready to keep her engaged, exercised, and included in daily life. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to enjoy the sunshine and make memories with, Halo is ready to light up your life Her adoption fee is $200, which includes her vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, current heartworm/flea prevention, heartworm test, registered microchip, and spay. She is already fixed! Call our office for adoption details at 815-725-0333. Located in Joliet, IL.

Story
Meet Clive, our three-month-old Great Dane/Pittie mix with big paws, a bigger personality, and an even bigger heart! This goofy boy is everything you’d expect from a young puppy — playful, curious, and always ready to turn an ordinary moment into a fun one. Clive loves to romp around with toys, wrestle with dog friends, and then happily plop himself right into your lap to soak up all the attention he can get. Back scratches? Absolutely his favorite. He thrives on affection and being part of the action. Clive does great with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion to grow up with. He was found as a stray and, sadly, no one came forward to reclaim him. Now he’s ready to start a brand-new chapter with a family committed to helping him become the best boy he can be. As adorable as he is, it’s important to remember that puppies are a big commitment. Clive will need time, patience, and consistency for training, socialization, and learning proper manners. With his breed mix, he is expected to grow into a large dog and will need plenty of space to stretch those long legs as he grows. He currently weighs about 25-30 pounds. If you’re ready for the rewarding journey of raising a puppy and have room in your home (and heart) for a lovable dog in the making, Clive is ready to meet you! His adoption fee is $280, which includes his age appropriate vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, current flea prevention, registered microchip, and neuter. He is already fixed! Story
Patty is a one-year-old Mini Pittie (30 pounds) with a heart just as big as her puppy-dog eyes. She arrived at the shelter as a stray in rough shape, battling a painful skin infection and splayed feet—likely from spending far too long confined to a kennel. Understandably, she was timid and unsure of the world around her. When approached, Patty would simply melt to the floor, hoping to go unnoticed. To help her build confidence, Patty spent plenty of time in our front office, getting used to the daily rhythm of staff and visitors. With patience, kindness, and lots of reassurance, she slowly began to blossom—and what a joy it has been to watch her transformation. Now, Patty’s silly and playful personality shines bright. She absolutely loves toys and will happily rifle through the toy bins to find her next favorite. She has done well with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. Most of all, Patty soaks up words of affirmation and compliments like sunshine—tell her she’s a good girl, and you’ll see her light up from the inside out. Patty has come such a long way and is ready for a home where she can continue to grow, feel safe, and be cherished the way she deserves. If you’re looking for a sweet, resilient girl with a playful streak and a heart full of love, Patty may be your perfect match. Her adoption fee is $200, which includes her vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, heartworm test, current heartworm/flea prevention, registered microchip, and spay. She is already fixed!
