Story
Meet Babybel! At just a year old, Babybel is a bundle of joy, curiosity, and nonstop affection. This playful pup is full of personality and always ready to bring energy—and cuddles—into your life! Babybel is curious and may take a bit of time to warm up at first, but warms up quickly! She loves a good play session, but sometimes forgets her own strength—she’s still learning that not everyone wants to wrestle like a puppy! She thrives in homes that can give her structure, exercise, and lots of attention. She’s a classic “Velcro dog”—always nearby, always looking for love. She's still working on potty training, but she’s making progress and is very food-motivated, which helps a lot. Babybel knows basic commands, and is always ready for the next adventure—or snuggle. Babybel is looking for a home that will continue helping her grow into her best self—one with patience, playtime, and a whole lot of love. If you're ready for a loyal, affectionate, and fun-loving companion, she’s waiting to meet you! Fill out an adoption questionnaire at animalcareleague.org!

Story
Milo is 8 1/2. We rescued him in January 2018 from Thailand. He was a street dog who was then placed in a pound, then a rescue organization. Brought to the US by a friend of a friend. We thought we could help him as he suffered a lot of abuse young. He has had lots of training and does well with the standards(heel, sit, place), but struggles when someone comes into his home or too close to him. He takes fluoxetine for anxiety and it helps a little. Seperation anxiety and people coming into his home unless he knows them well. He growls aggressively and barks. He needs someone very familiar with training dogs and dealing with a potential biter. We spent the last 8+ years with him. Our circumstances have changed enough that it will only build on his anxiety and we have grandchildren that we feel would be in danger if they were to visit us. We currently do not allow them to be with Milo. This is not an easy decision and we will not give him up if it is not a good move where he’ll be happy.

Story
When you look at Phineas, you might see a big tough-looking dog at first, but what you are actually beholding is the babiest baby to ever baby in the history of babies. Phineas was born to snuggle. It is his life's purpose, and he knows that. Phineas wants to be one with your couch, your bed, your blankets, and you. He understands on a cellular level how important it is to be comfy cozy 100% of the time. Phineas does not believe in the grindset mindset, he does not hustle, and he refuses to labor for the ruling class. He is deeply committed to a life of peace and comfort, and who are we to stand between him and the sofa of his dreams? Weight: 61.2 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Housebroken: Yes! They will potty outside every time or nearly every time (rarely has accidents). Crate-trained: Working on it! They will bark or vocalize for up to 30 minutes, but do eventually settle. Leash behavior: Working on it! They are still learning what the leash is all about and may have some behaviors that will require continued positive reinforcement training. Dog sociability: They don't like them! They do not get along with other dogs and need to be the only dog in the home. Cat sociability: They do not do well with cats! They will chase, bite, attack, or otherwise harm or frighten cats. Kid sociability: Not good with kids! They are afraid of kids or reactive toward them, or they have a history of behaviors that make them incompatible with children. Likes: CUDDLING! But also squeaky toys, Kongs, and being wrapped up in soft blankies at bedtime Dislikes: Not being wrapped up in soft blankies at bedtime If you’d like to meet Phineas, please fill out an adoption application at animalcareleague.org/adoptions and send us an email at adoption@animalcareleague.org to schedule an introduction!

Story
Mickey is a southern boy from Kentucky who is still learning about life in the big city! He's been in a foster home with his brother, Sammy, and they are both still quite shy while adjusting to their new living situation. Mickey would really benefit from a confident dog friend in his forever home to help show him the ropes and teach him how to be a city dog! Weight: 18.6 lbs (and growing!) Spayed/Neutered: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Will need to continue to receive puppy boosters until 5 months of age. Microchipped: Yes! Housebroken: Not yet! They are still working on learning the difference between pottying inside and pottying outside. Crate-trained: Yes! They will settle in the crate easily and are comfortable staying in it for 4+ hours. Leash behavior: Still learning! They are a puppy and will need continued positive reinforcement training to learn proper leash skills. Dog sociability: They love them! They thrive with a dog buddy and would love to live in a forever home with other dogs. Cat sociability: They are working on their cat manners! They have lived with cats and have mostly been fine, but will occasionally chase them or play a little too rough. Kid sociability: Unknown! They have never met children while in foster care. Likes: Playing with his dog friends, relaxing with a chew toy, snacks Dislikes: Cold weather, people who don't ask before hugging If you’d like to meet Mickey, please fill out an adoption application at animalcareleague.org/adoptions and send us an email at adoption@animalcareleague.org to schedule an introduction!
