Story
Evelyn is a staffordshire mix. She's great supervised with other dogs of all sizes, on playdates and in public. She has had some bad experiences with other dogs and her resources so she should not be unsupervised with other dogs. She should not have toys/bones/food around other dogs. She is not dog aggressive but does resource guard. She can be extremely chill and lazy but also playful! Evelyn loves all people and kids. She would be good with an active lifestyle who's owners take her in the public/on vacation or just as happy in the home and going for walks. She can be with a family or senior owner. She will know basic obedience, loose leash heeling, off leash recall and good manners inside the home and in the public. She is kennel and potty trained.  Being treated for heartworm. Will be available for foster/adoption approximately July 15th, 2024. Evelyn has gone through a basic training program! In this program she has learned proper heeling on a leash, basic obedience, place command, off leash recall, no bolting out of doors, people and dog socialization, kennel/potty training and more! After adoption process is finalized, the new owners will work with the trainer 1-on-1 for 2 hours to learn what Evelyn has learned in the program and how to keep up with training after going home. This will all be included in your adoption fee! ##1862073##

Story
Emmy is shy and playful. She has been spayed, vaccinated, chipped, is approx. over 1 year old. This beautiful Lab/Doberman mix girl walks on leash.  Emmy needs a gentle and patient soul to help her through her traumatic past. She needs patience for her to get comfortable with people & kids but once she bonds she is playful and loving! She will know basic obedience, loose leash heeling, off leash recall and good manners inside the home and in the public. Emmy still needs patience, consistency and work kennel and potty training because of her difficult past. Emmy has some prey drive and should not be homed with very small dogs, any cats or small animals. After being a little shy at first, she quickly gets over this and becomes very loving and trusted with all people and kids. Because of her initial fear, she should be with someone who has owned dogs before and knows their behavior. Emmy would be a great dog to be at home and go for walks. She is capable but needs patience in the public and on walks, to work on her fear and confidence boosting. Emmy has gone through a basic training program! In this program she has learned proper heeling on a leash, basic obedience, place command, off leash recall, no bolting out of doors, people and dog socialization, kennel/potty training and more! After adoption process is finalized, the new owners will work with the trainer 1-on-1 for 2 hours to learn what Emmy has learned in the program and how to keep up with training after going home. This will all be included in your adoption fee! ##1862108##

Story
Gypsy is a special 2 year old (approx.) mixed breed girl who will capture your heart. Gypsy is eager to find a home where she can feel safe and loved. She needs a quiet and relaxing home where she can rest and decompress a lot of recent changes. Best to be in a quiet environment with no other dogs or kids at this time so she can relax and regain her confidence. Gypsy's sweet gentle spirit shines through when she feels totally secure. All this loving dog wants is to relax with her person, whether it's snuggling under the covers at night or accompanying you while working from home during the day. She loves being close by your side, soaking up affection and exploring together on long strolls. Gypsy walks well on leash and has great recall if allowed brief off-leash play. She is well-behaved, highly trainable, and responds well to her name. Though Gypsy takes a little while to warm up to new dogs, once comfortable she gets along nicely and doesn't react. She loves meeting new people, enjoys car rides, and is gentle with children. A fenced yard would be ideal so she can play, but she is also content relaxing indoors as long as her exercise needs are met. She would prefer being the only dog since she bonds closely with her human. Gypsy will make an extremely loyal companion for someone willing to earn her trust. If you give this sweetheart the love she deserves, she promises to return it tenfold. Please contact us to meet magnificent Gypsy! Gypsy has gone through a basic training program! In this program she has learned proper heeling on a leash, basic obedience, place command, off leash recall, no bolting out of doors, people and dog socialization, kennel/potty training and more! After adoption process is finalized, the new owners will work with the trainer 1-on-1 for 2 hours to learn what Gypsy has learned in the program and how to keep up with training after going home. Story
Bruno...Big Bruno....Big Bruno-ishka!!! Bruno-ishka came into the rescue while he was still in the womb of his mama, Mama-ishka! A good samaritan reached out to us to help Mama. She was a regular stray in the neighborhood especially after her owners up and left her behind. They moved and didn't bother to take her with them. Bruno-ishka is the only male in his litter of 5 puppies. You can tell where his Mama dog, Mamaishka, loves to play with him and cuddle him and love on him. He is a mama's boy for sure!!! Bruno-ishka must seem to know that he is the only male in his litter because he has an opinion about everything! If he does not like being in his kennel, he will let you know. If he needs to pee/poo, he is going to let you know. If he is not happy about coming inside, he will let you know!!! This little fiesty guy is also a HUGE LOVE BUG!!! He does love to be petted, held, cuddled, etc. He will happily look at you with his big BLUE eyes and give you a big wet kiss! His gaze will melt your heart!!! Bruno-ishka is being kennel trained. He falls asleep by 10pm and wakes up bright and happy at 7:30am. He is also being potty trained. He will wake up and quickly make his way to the backyard door. He will even wake up from his naps and cry out to let us know he has to pee. He's a FAST learner! But, considering his very young age he will need continued training to help him be the best pup that he can be. He's at the perfect age to introduce into any home! Bruno-ishka is ready to be learn, love, and live as a puppy should be. Are you ready to have a fun and happy pup as a member of your family? All of Bruno-ishka's vetting has been done by my personal dogs' vet. The following is a list of what has been done for him... Neutered All 4 - DA2PP shots (Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2 (Hepatitis), Parvo, and Parainfluenza) Bordatella shot Rabies shot Dewormed Tested, Treated (if needed), and retested for giardia and coccidia Iverhart heartworm preventative Simparica fleas and ticks preventative Chipped There are two categories of vaccines: “core” vaccines that are recommended for all pets, and “non-core vaccines” which may be recommended by your vet based on lifestyle and exposure risk. The core vaccine for dogs is the Rabies vaccine, which is required by law. The second core vaccine for dogs is often referred to as the DA2PP or DHPP vaccine. This stands for “Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2 (Hepatitis), Parvo, and Parainfluenza”, meaning that this vaccine protects against FOUR different diseases. It is especially important for puppies to begin a series of DA2PP vaccines at six to eight weeks of age, as natural immunity obtained from the mother decreases and puppies become very susceptible to potentially life-threatening diseases such as Canine Parvovirus (Parvo). Parvo is transmitted through feces and can remain in the environment for at least one month, and up to a year if the conditions are right. This means that puppies do not need to be directly exposed to another dog that has Parvo in order to contract the disease, and caution is advised when choosing where and how to socialize and exercise your pup. We recommend avoiding exposure to unknown dogs or public places until your puppy has finished their vaccine series. BUT, all A.M.O.R. puppies (1 year old and less) have all FOUR shots. They are safe to join you and your family on your outdoor adventures and you can rest at ease. Non-core vaccines for dogs include Bordetella, Influenza, Leptospirosis and Lyme. The Bordetella (aka: Kennel Cough) help to prevent highly-contagious respiratory diseases, and are essential for dogs that may be exposed to other dogs, especially in group settings such as dog parks, daycare, or boarding facilities. All A.M.O.R. dogs and puppies are given a Bordatella vaccine. Bordatella boosters are given every 6 months. https://www.thedrakecenter.com/services/dogs/parasites/deworming-dogs The above link is to provide you information regarding why deworming is so important for all dogs of all ages (and for their families). All A.M.O.R.s are dewormed upon entering the rescue and then again 5 days before their health certificate visit (when they have been adopted and ready to travel). This dewormer is issued per our vet. And all pets are tested, treated (if needed), and retested for coccidia and giardia. A.M.O.R. provides you with this information so that you can be aware of the work and love that is given to each pet. Each puppy has visited the vet AT LEAST 5 times during their stay with us. They have seen the vet 4 times for their shots and will see the vet 1-2 more times prior to transport in order to obtain a health certificate for travel. Adult dogs have seen the vet AT LEAST 3 times. Two visits for their shots and 1-2 visits prior to transport in order to obtain a health certificate. Are you ready to have a lifetime of fun with Bruno-ishka??? All animals receive a health certificate (stating that a licensed veterinarian saw the pet and deemed it healthy for travel, but is not a promise of perfect health). Please email for an A.M.O.R. application in order to be considered. Please note: this pet is located out of state.
