Story
Ms Lulu is quite the character! She is happy and funny and Loves to run and run. When she stops, she stops! She took over the house and yard the first day protecting and keeping all threats away from the fence. She is a snuggler and will sit on the couch and sleep in the big person bed or an open crate. She does prowl and protect through the night. She is house trained and uses a doggy door. Lulu is okay with small dogs but maybe no dog under 20lbs until proper intros are made - otherwise male or female dogs are fine. No idea about cats. She is a cattle dog and seems as if she may have been trained to herd beyond what comes natural? She got out of the gate once and was fine with the goat and chickens. Cattle and horses would be safe. She is an active working dog who would love an active lifestyle if you can provide it. She loves the water too. She will herd children by nipping on their heels so maybe a bit older children who understand that's just what her breed does and won't cry. She does pretty well on a leash, rides in the car like a pro, loves puppies because she was a mom a time or two. Her tongue hangs out and her jaw is a bit off (maybe birth defect or an injury) but it does not affect her appetite! She is spayed, HW negative and up to date on shots. Lulu is a really sweet dog and wants a home of her own. please apply at www.krrtx.org/forms Please note Lulu is in San Antonio, TX and is available to be transported to your location with Your TX Rescue Connection transport. The fee includes adoption and transportation fee.

Story
Lexi was adopted through a rescue from a high kill shelter in Tennessee as a young puppy. I was told she got along with cats by the rescue. She became very aggressive towards my cat ( also a rescue) and over time has become so focused on hunting him down that it has become unhealthy for both pets. She treats this as if there is a wild animal loose in the house , panting, pacing and anxious. Aside from this , Lexi is a healthy, active, playful 2 year old. She loves other dogs once she gets to know them. She sleeps well in her own bed, and is house broken, loves to be outside ,has lots of energy, loves car rides and is a very loyal companion. It takes her s little while to get used to strangers. She needs a loving home without small animals ( other than dogs )due to her high prey instinct which is due to her breed. . She’s fawn colored with white markings and weighs 33lbs. She’s fine around older kids( over10) and will be a great pet in a home without cats or other small animals.

Story
In just two short years, Parker has known nothing but abandonment and heartbreak. He deserved love, stability, and a family, but instead he’s been handed one disappointment after another. We rescued Parker in January 2025 after he sat in a rural shelter for over a year waiting for someone to pick him. Sadly, shortly after arriving, we lost his foster and couldn't find anyone willing to take him in, despite our endless pleas for help. Unfortunately, for the last seven months, Parker has been living in a crate at our trainers barn because we haven’t had a single foster or adopter come forward for him. It devastates us. Parker is not unwanted because he’s a “bad dog.” He just hasn’t been given a real chance. Being a foster-based rescue means that without a foster or adopter, we’re out of options and after already spending nearly 20K on boarding and training costs, we cannot afford to do this much longer...and Parker deserves so much more than this. Parker is a 2.5-year-old, 60 lb. pit bull/cattle dog/Great Pyrenees mix who’s goofy, loyal, and full of love. He is treat-motivated and eager to learn, forming strong bonds quickly and always wanting to be by your side. Parker loves walks, adventures, and playtime — especially when toys or zoomies are involved! He’s got plenty of energy and enthusiasm for life, but also enjoys just hanging out with his favorite people. He has made tremendous progress after completing a three month long training program, but he still needs a confident, committed handler who understands him. His ideal home would be with teens and up, with no young kids. He'd be fine with another dog, but it must be the right one. Parker would likely not be suitable for a home with cats. This boy deserves a chance — he’s worked so hard and come so far. We’re begging for a miracle. If you can open your heart and home to Parker, even temporarily, please reach out — his life depends on it. His adoption fee is WAIVED thanks to a generous donor and Parker is vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. • Adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/200883908893166 • Foster application: https://form.jotform.com/200857847444161

Story
Meet Orca, a 7-year-old, 37 lb. terrier mix has a heart as big as her smile. As the longest resident in a rural shelter, waiting over three months for her chance at a happily furever after, we knew we had to scoop her up and help her find the life she’s always deserved. Orca is pure joy wrapped in fur. She is friendly with everyone she meets, loves to play, and has plenty of energy—proving that age is truly just a number. She’s incredibly affectionate and happiest when she’s close to her people—whether she’s soaking up belly rubs, leaning in for cuddles, or trying her best to make everyone her new best friend. She was previously in a foster home with children and another dog and while she did ok, older kids and a more submissive dog would be the best match for her. She has never been around cats. A fenced in yard is a must for her. Orca would benefit from some basic training, including polite manners around other dogs and working on jumping when she’s excited. She also tends to have a lot of pent up anxiety and transitions have proven difficult for her so she needs someone experienced and patient. With consistency and guidance, she’ll thrive and shine. Her adoption fee is $425 and Orca is vaccinated, microchipped and spayed, and recently underwent heartworm treatment but has since tested negative.
