Story
Ms Lulu is quite the character! She is happy and funny and Loves to run and run. When she stops, she stops! She took over the house and yard the first day protecting and keeping all threats away from the fence. She is a snuggler and will sit on the couch and sleep in the big person bed or an open crate. She does prowl and protect through the night. She is house trained and uses a doggy door. Lulu is okay with small dogs but maybe no dog under 20lbs until proper intros are made - otherwise male or female dogs are fine. No idea about cats. She is a cattle dog and seems as if she may have been trained to herd beyond what comes natural? She got out of the gate once and was fine with the goat and chickens. Cattle and horses would be safe. She is an active working dog who would love an active lifestyle if you can provide it. She loves the water too. She will herd children by nipping on their heels so maybe a bit older children who understand that's just what her breed does and won't cry. She does pretty well on a leash, rides in the car like a pro, loves puppies because she was a mom a time or two. Her tongue hangs out and her jaw is a bit off (maybe birth defect or an injury) but it does not affect her appetite! She is spayed, HW negative and up to date on shots. Lulu is a really sweet dog and wants a home of her own. please apply at www.krrtx.org/forms Please note Lulu is in San Antonio, TX and is available to be transported to your location with Your TX Rescue Connection transport. The fee includes adoption and transportation fee.

Story
Kobe is a 5 1/2 year-old Jack Russell/poodle who is very well trained. All you have to do is open your door to your backyard. He will not leave it and come right back in when he’s done using the bathroom. Kobe is really good with kids and other animals so I’m hoping the person who adopts him has either if possible. Everywhere I go I get compliments about how cute and how wild behaved he is ! When told to do something he does it. Whenever you say his name he comes and he looks at you as if he understands everything you’re saying. It’s like talking to a human.

Story
MEET PARKER - A SPECIAL DOG SEARCHING FOR THE RIGHT FOSTER OR ADOPTER For over 2.5 years, Parker has experienced nothing but instability. He spent more than a year waiting in a rural shelter before we rescued him in January 2025. Since then, he's been shuffled between foster homes, kennels, and boarding, never having the opportunity to truly settle in. Through it all, Parker has never given up on people. Parker is a three-year-old, 60-pound Pit Bull/Cattle Dog/Great Pyrenees mix with the heart and drive of a working dog. He is intelligent, loyal, eager to learn, and forms incredibly strong bonds with his people. He thrives when he has structure, purpose, and someone confident to guide him. He has completed extensive professional training and has made tremendous progress, but Parker's biggest challenge is his environment. He becomes overwhelmed in busy neighborhoods filled with constant activity, dogs, children, traffic, and endless stimulation. He needs a calm, predictable setting where he can relax and succeed. His ideal home would be: - A rural property, farm, or quiet home with minimal outside activity - An experienced, confident handler who understands working breeds - Adults or a home with older teens only - No cats - Another dog may be possible, but only with the right match Parker would make an incredible farm companion, working dog, hiking partner, or loyal best friend for someone who appreciates his intelligence and wants a dog that enjoys having a job to do. This isn't a dog looking for the busiest household on the block. He's looking for peace, consistency, and someone willing to meet him where he is. In return, you'll gain a fiercely loyal companion who will always be by your side. His adoption fee has been WAIVED thanks to a generous donor. Parker is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Apply to adopt at https://form.jotform.com/200883908893166. Not ready to adopt? Story
Meet Orca, a 7-year-old, 37 lb. terrier mix has a heart as big as her smile. As the longest resident in a rural shelter, waiting over three months for her chance at a happily furever after, we knew we had to scoop her up and help her find the life she’s always deserved. Orca is pure joy wrapped in fur. She is friendly with everyone she meets, loves to play, and has plenty of energy—proving that age is truly just a number. She’s incredibly affectionate and happiest when she’s close to her people—whether she’s soaking up belly rubs, leaning in for cuddles, or trying her best to make everyone her new best friend. She was previously in a foster home with children and another dog and while she did ok, older kids and a more submissive dog would be the best match for her. She has never been around cats. A fenced in yard is a must for her. Orca would benefit from some basic training, including polite manners around other dogs and working on jumping when she’s excited. She also tends to have a lot of pent up anxiety and transitions have proven difficult for her so she needs someone experienced and patient. With consistency and guidance, she’ll thrive and shine. Her adoption fee is $425 and Orca is vaccinated, microchipped and spayed, and recently underwent heartworm treatment but has since tested negative.
