Story
Gloria came into a high kill SC shelter as a stray with no owner located so she sits and is at risk of being euthanized due to shelter overcrowding. She is very loving and very treat motivated. She walks on a leash no problem, but is slightly timid. Once she feel comfortable, she opens up very quickly. She deserves a chance to live but we cannot save her without a committed adopter (possible foster to adopt available with a committed family). Help us save her! We are working to save as many dogs from southern shelters and place them into loving homes. These shelters are high kill shelters and these dogs are urgently in need of an adopter to save their lives. These are good dogs that had crappy owners who dumped them or just turned them out and the dogs were picked up as stray and taken to the county shelters, left unclaimed. The county shelters fill up quickly and they euthanize (kill) simply because they run out of space for dogs to be. We offer adoptions for any dog we post. We can provide videos, pictures, answer as many questions as we can on the dog for you, etc. We can even do video chat with the dogs (these must be scheduled) if time allows. If you want to adopt but are unsure of a dog because you haven’t met him or her….we offer a adoption foster period program. This is where you adopt the dog and agree to a certain time period trial – usually 2-4 weeks (depending on when transport is running from here to there) to let the dog decompress in a normal home setting and settle in and make sure it’s a good fit for you and the dog. If it isn’t a good fit, we can pick the dog back up when our transport returns to your location but you have to agree to keep the dog safe during the time he/she is with you until we are able to pick the dog up. The adoption fee is non-refundable BUT if the dog is not a good fit for you or you’re not a good fit for it and it’s returned, we do allow you to pick another dog to adopt and transfer the fee to that dog (we will only do this one time), this is not a rotation puppy game. We have been doing rescue for many years (the Director has been doing this for over 30 years). We are pretty good at matching a dog to a person, family, etc. Be honest with us at what you are looking for, what matters to you and what will work best for you and we will be honest with you if you’re interested in a dog that’s not going to work for you. Our adoption fees include all up to date vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, microchip, and any other medical needed by the dog while in the ownership of the rescue). It will also include the transportation to your area (not to your house, you might have to drive a little to pickup the dog depending on where transport stops to meet up with people). Let’s partner together to save a dog and find you your next fur-family member.

Baloo was surrendered by his previous owner. Since arriving at the shelter, he has been kenneled with other dogs with no issues, and staff have not observed any issues with him. Baloo knows sit and shake and walks perfectly on a leash. He deserves a loving home - his time is almost up and he needs an adopter ASAP to save him. A foster to adopt program is available if you are willing to give Baloo a chance at a happy home with you! Read out! Story
Charlie came into a SC High Kill Shelter as a stray with no owner found. She walks well on a leash and is dog-friendly. She is more outgoing with other dogs and is very sweet and calm outside of her kennel. She deserves a real life with a forever family that will love her and take care of her properly. We can do a foster to adopt program for Charlie if you are willing to give her a chance at a forever home with time to decompress from the noisy, stressful shelter and fit in with your family. We are working to save as many dogs from southern shelters and place them into loving homes. Story
Mochi came into a high kill SC shelter as a stray, no owner found so he sits. He is a very scared puppy and does not seem very familiar with people. He is terrified in the shelter environment but is very sweet. He is dog-friendly, and the shelter staff is working with him to help him become more comfortable and build confidence. But without an adopter or foster to adopt person willing to give him a chance we won't be able to save him and his days are numbered to get out of the shelter before they have to euthanize for space (they are beyond overcrowded so they do this frequently). We are working to save as many dogs from southern shelters and place them into loving homes.
