We’re are working on an urgent placement for our senior neutered male Husky, Tony. We are located in West Hempstead, NY. Tony was surrendered to a local shelter in June by his original family due to housing restrictions and was adopted by us shortly after. We are first-time dog owners and believed that adopting a senior dog would be a gentle way to learn. Unfortunately, after five months, it has become clear that our home is not the right environment for Tony. Our primary concern is safety. Our younger son is autistic, and despite close supervision and working with a trainer, there have been a couple of snapping incidents when Tony’s need for space wasn’t recognized. As a result, our son has become fearful, and it has become clear that our home is not a safe or sustainable placement for Tony. Tony would do best with an experienced, husky-savvy adopter who understands him and his nature.

We brought Zoey home at 12-weeks old in July 2022. Her birthday is 4/13/2022. She was the runt of her litter, so she is smaller than average, which is actually nice. She is a well trained, fun, and loving dog. She rides in the car well. She loves the dog park. She loves pets and cuddles. Her demand for pets and cuddles can come off as attention seeking. We recently had a baby and it is difficult to give her the attention that she needs and deserves. She appears to want more attention than the baby. As a result, we have decided that our current family structure is not ideal for Zoey or the baby. She can potty in a designated area. She can sit, down, jump, stay, and twirl. She hardly ever barks. She's very quiet. She would be great as an only dog, for someone looking for a companion. She enjoys a fenced yard. We would not look rehome her if our family didn't change. We love her and have taken very good care of her, which goes without saying.

KayLee is a 7 year old, female, Shi-Tzu. She’s an absolutely amazing dog. She’s very quiet and reserved and loves to be cuddled. Unfortunately, I’ve been unemployed for the last 3 years and I’ve been struggling financially. It’s been very hard for me to take care of her in regard to taking her to the vet and making sure her shots are updated. I’ve only been able to get here groomed every few months. She’s a great dog and I would love to find a great home for her.

Hi everyone I would like you to meet Pops (or as I call him Popsy) a very sweet, loving and special little boy. His life has not been an easy one. This little soul was abused and neglected his entire life by the people who were supposed to love and care for him. We were asked to take him and of course we said yes! Only skin and bones(6 lbs.),matted,not neutered and rotten teeth we got to work to make him healthy. And we did! Pops is 11 yrs. young and thinks hes a puppy definitely has a bounce in his step now that he is pain free! But mostly wants to chill with his person.He is utd,neutered and has had most of his teeth pulled and can now eat pain free. Pops is mostly house trained but will have accidents.Pops does well with other dogs as he has a few foster siblings. In spite of what he has been through he is a sweet,loving,happy boy he loves everyone and deserves a loving forever home.
