Story
Meet Marcy, a 3 y/o female German Shepherd. Her ideal family will either have no other dogs or a male (neutered) large- breed submissive dog. She will need a strong handler and preferably no small children, as she can be jumpy sometimes. She is currently in a foster home and doing great! she's quiet in a crate, walks well on leash and is overall just a happy girl who loves getting affection and attention from her foster family. She is currently healing from a spay but is an energetic girl who loves playing with balls and fetch. She would do great with an active family who loves to go on adventures or play fetch with her! Her future family would take her to professional training, as Marcy would benefit greatly from it-- emotionally, physically, mentally. She is an AMAZING girl, a very confident and strong female GSD. She will not be placed in a home with a female dog, or overly dominant dogs in general. Although Marcy has been exposed to cats in her prior home, we don't know how she will do after the shelter stressors-- so if a home does have cats, there needs to be the ability to integrate slowly, and keep separate (either short term, or possibly even long term). Story
Say hello to Beau! Beau was found in rough shape as a stray with Miss Daisy and since landing in his JDR foster home he has been living the lavish life. Beau is around 3 years old, neutered, UTD on his vaccines and ready to find his forever family! Beau is a happy guy who loves spending time outside, going for walks and spending time with his favorite people. He is dog friendly, has met a cat and treated him like he was another dog. Beau can either be an only dog or he would be fine having dog/cat siblings. Beau is crate trained and pretty quiet in the crate. He is working on house training, but his biggest problem is marking which he is getting better at. Beau has a little quirk of being terrified of stairs, but right now is content to be carried up and down the stairs. Beau will need training to help him respond better to his people, especially during times of excitement on walks. We are hoping he will learn some confidence building with training as well. If you think Beau will be a good addition to your family, please apply for him today! Adoption application- https://form.jotform.com/252365507921054

Story
Meet Bruce, a Bulldog who is just as sweet as he is handsome. He will be turning 2 years old in January. Bruce is one of the nicest dogs ever and his foster family says he is absolutely friendly with everybody! Bruce is crate trained, neutered and UTD on all vaccines. All he is looking for now is his forever home! Bruce walks wonderfully on leash, loves going for walks and spending time with his foster family. He has been around young kids, but he is a bit of a wrecking ball so any kids in the home should be 7+ with parents who will make sure Bruce minds his manners when playing with the kids. When his foster kiddo siblings are relaxed and hanging out quietly, Bruce is the best buddy but when things get rowdy Bruce does too. Bruce does not need a bulldog experienced home, but he does need a family who will make sure they will train him and teach him boundaries with guests in the home. He will also need a family that will work on a long term diet plan to make sure his skin stays as healthy as possible (bulldog probs.) Bruce is considered dog friendly and has been in daycare playgroups but does not quite know how to play appropriately with other dogs. His preferred play method is humping, which can be annoying to other dogs. He takes correction well from dogs but any dog siblings in the home would need to be a good match for him while he learns a more appropriate play style. He has not been cat tested. If you think you could be Bruce’s forever family please fill out an adoption application! https://form.jotform.com/252365507921054

Husky

Story
Meet Cassie! Cassie is a 9-10 month old 45lbs husky mix. She is full of energy and life! She loves running and chasing balls in a fenced in yard! She knows some obedient commands like- Sit, Off, Down, and she’s learning Paw. She’s very smart! She loves to chew on bones and hard toys. Cassie can be shy when meeting new people but with proper introductions to people, she is friendly. Play tug of war with rope toys and be Cassie’s best friend! Cassie can either be the only dog or live with a well balanced playful male who can tolerate a rough playmate! She currently lives with a female pittie who is not tolerant of sharing her space/people with Cassie and does not enjoy Cassie’s rough playstyle. The other dog in the home is starting to cause issues and it is in Cassie’s best interest to find a family who can enjoy and provide an outlet for Cassie’s high energy the right way. Cassie is spayed and UTD on vaccines. All she needs now is her forever family! The ideal adoptive family for Cassie would be an active family that has a fenced in yard for her to run around and play in. A family who will seek out professional training to help her become the best dog she can be and with children 10+. She has not been cat tested. Please read a quick statement from Cassie’s family below: “Cassie was brought to us by a family member because the original owner couldn’t keep her and threatened to leave her on the street. However, there is friction between her and our other dog and it’s intensifying so we feel Cassie would be better off in a new home. In the 3 months we’ve had Cassie, she has come out of her shell and loves to play and be near people and cuddle up with you. She’s outgrown her nibble phase and has learned to do her business outside. Cassie would make a great addition to a family and is great with older kids. Cassie needs some space to run around and let her energy out,she needs a lot of attention and affection, and needs consistent training.” If you're interested in being Cassie’s furever family, please submit an adoption app at: https://form.jotform.com/252365507921054

Story
🐾 Adoptable: Hunter 🐾 This little guy is Hunter. Hunter is an approximately 2 year old, 22lb mix breed (but is working on gaining a pound or two). Hunter is neutered and UTD on vaccines. He is a very sweet, happy boy-- a nice balance of active and relaxed. He is eager to spend time with his human(s), immediately snuggling up on an open lap. Hunter makes a great movie/TV buddy-- he has no concept of personal space and will fall asleep on you. He is working on crate training and, though he isn't thrilled to be inside of one, he will not mess inside the crate; he does best in a non-wired crate though, since he attempts to be like Houdini. He is mostly potty trained but, like all dogs in new environments, he may have a couple of accidents while still learning the ropes. Hunter gets along well with large breed dogs-- he is currently in foster with 4 60-90lb foster 'siblings' -- he would love a home with a large doggy sibling or two (must be fixed and UTD), since he thinks he's one of the big dogs. He has been introduced to a cat and did well. Because of his jumpy nature and puppy antics, a home with dog-savvy children 8+ is recommended. Additionally, a fenced in yard (vinyl, wooden, chain link) is required for Hunter, as he does fit through the 'bars' of aluminum fencing-- which he fully takes advantage of. Hunter would benefit from professional training, as he is eager to learn, but is still pretty much a blank slate. If you would like to be Hunter's furever family, please fill out an adoption application at: https://form.jotform.com/252365507921054

Story
Meet Daisy. She is a Shih Tzu who was found as a stray and she’s approx 4yr old female, walks well on a leash, seems to be housebroken, wants to be your shadow. She is the sweetest little cuddle bug who is a true couch potato and is content to lay next to you or on your chest. Don’t let her fool you, even though she’s a couch potato she can hang for nice long walks too! She has no problem interacting with other dogs but would prefer to probably be the queen of the castle. She met a cat and did well. She follows her people around the house and is always looking to be with them! She is blind in one eye, but she doesn’t let that stop her fun!
