Story

Meet Benny, an eight-year-old dog originally from Korea. Benny is a super sweet dog with a lot of love and heart. He just wants all the cuddles and pets and to feel safe. He gets along well with other dogs as hes spent his life growing up around them but he was abused when he was in Korea so he trusts females easier than males due to the abuse coming from a male. He has zero aggressive bones in his body and would most likely do good around cats if needed as well. He walks well on leash once he trust you, but will freeze if he gets scared. He has a half brother who lives with me as well, which I had adopted a few years prior to Benny. He has a collapsed trachea that he takes a small pill in his food twice daily but doesnt affect his lifespan. This has caused him to gain weight (though he had a weight problem in Korea due to not be giving food at times so now he loves his food). He is a little chunky monkey. He also has some flakey skin issues so extra baths and a cherry eye.

This little lady is Skippy! She is just over 1 year old and weighs 34 pounds. She is full grown; so a manageable and mobile size to take on outings. Skippy is a Terrier/Kelpie mix and has fun energy to keep you moving. She is a an active dog and ready for any adventure that comes her way. She gets along great with other dogs and would love a canine sibling to play with in a fenced in yard. But, she could easily soak up all the human attention herself too. She's good with people, she has a very sweet disposition and loves attention! Skippy is housebroken and crate-trained. Skippy needs to brush up on her leash skills and some basic manners. She is very smart and is a fast learner. We think once she gets her leash walking down pat, she would be an amazing jogging or hiking partner! Don't worry though, she also loves to cuddle. 3-year-old pitty mix (exact genetics unknown, he is a rescue). Weighs around 70 lbs. Up to date on all his shots, no health issues. Has 1.5 cups of food twice a day. Eats right away as soon as you put food in his bowl, no matter the time of day. Has lots of energy, very playful and affectionate when he gets to know you. Good at listening to commands like sit, come, and out. Loves running around outside, going on walks, laying in the sun, and running with a bike. Dislikes having his nails clipped, also dislikes vacuums/dust busters (the noise drives him crazy so we keep him in his crate while vacuuming). When outside home, he is fine around strangers. When at home, he barks when he senses someone at the door (this might be something he can be trained out of in a new environment where he has less pent-up energy). Plays well with other dogs in off-leash environments like dog parks. When on walks, he might stare at other dogs but never lashes out.

My name is Carter. I am about 5 years old and 60 lbs. I am a stunning mix of Malinois and Husky. I am smart, sharp, dignified, well-behaved and utterly loyal. I am very human focused and oriented towards making my humans happy. I love to stay close to my pack (humans and dogs alike). I would love to have company most of the time but can be left alone without an issue. I am housebroken; I do not have much crating experience and would prefer to be loose. I most likely didn't have the most encouraging past. I can get a little timid around raised voices or really loud noises so a home with kids 12+ would probably make me the most comfortable. I am a people pleaser - I want to do the right thing, but I might need a little direction in the process. I do take a moment to warm up to dogs in the home but I certainly do and once we are buddies, I enjoy their company. I would also be perfectly fine as an only dog.
