Story
• Rescue Story
: Meet Heeya 👋 In April 2025, Heeya and her siblings were found wandering the streets in South Korea after it appeared they had been abandoned by an illegal puppy mill. They were taken to a high-kill shelter, but thankfully our team was able to rescue them just in time. Due to a lack of proper care earlier in her life, Heeya needed patella surgery on both of her hind legs. The good news is that she has made a full recovery and is now thriving in a loving foster home while patiently waiting for her forever family.
• Personality: Gentle, Sweet, Calm
Heeya is a truly sweet girl with the gentlest soul. She may take a little time to warm up, but once she feels comfortable, she shows her affection with the cutest little butt wiggles! With her low energy level, she’s happiest relaxing as a cozy little couch potato by your side :)
• Affinity with
-Cats: Shows no interest in cats during walks
-Dogs: Great around other dogs
-Adults/Kids: Good with all people. Just needs a little time to warm up first.
• Housetrained: Fully potty-trained for outdoor bathroom
• Walking Manner: Excellent on a leash! She's stubborn at time when it comes to where to walk lol (Light, short walks recommended)
• Shedding: Level 7
• Food Allergies: None
• Car Rides: currently experiences car sickness, not used to car rides yet - just need more experiences!
• Barker or Quiet: Very quiet
• Separation Anxiety: Zero
• Bathing/Brushing: Very good
• Likes: Loves treats and being lazy at home / Not particular dislikes!
• Health: Heeya had grade-3 patellar luxation in both hind legs when rescued, so she went through surgery in Sep 2025. The good news is that she has made a full recovery and is now thriving in a loving foster home while patiently waiting for her forever family. Maintaining a healthy weight and providing regular, moderate exercise will help keep her comfortable. (Light, short walks recommended)
