Story

Meet Benny, an eight-year-old dog originally from Korea. Benny is a super sweet dog with a lot of love and heart. He just wants all the cuddles and pets and to feel safe. He gets along well with other dogs as hes spent his life growing up around them but he was abused when he was in Korea so he trusts females easier than males due to the abuse coming from a male. He has zero aggressive bones in his body and would most likely do good around cats if needed as well. He walks well on leash once he trust you, but will freeze if he gets scared. He has a half brother who lives with me as well, which I had adopted a few years prior to Benny. He has a collapsed trachea that he takes a small pill in his food twice daily but doesnt affect his lifespan. This has caused him to gain weight (though he had a weight problem in Korea due to not be giving food at times so now he loves his food). He is a little chunky monkey. He also has some flakey skin issues so extra baths and a cherry eye.

My name is Rikki! I am almost 8 months old and 48 lbs. We think I could be a mix of Boxer, Shepherd, Rhodesian... probably a bunch of great breeds! We think I am almost full grown - I could put on a few and get to 55ish. What is great about me? I am housebroken, I am good with all people including kids. I also love other dogs and I am playful with them. I am gentle and I love attention. I am also trustworthy in the house and I am crate-trained but in my home now, I don't use it much. I am still trying to figure out what this thing called a leash is. I will need a little more work to find my confidence but I will get there. My name is Isabella. I am a dignified and mature lady. I have found myself in need of a home after living in one for most of my life. My family decided they couldn't care for me anymore so I went to a really nice person who agreed to take me in. My family said they would come back for me... but, they didn't. I am yearning for my next and final place. I am about 8.5 years old and 65 lbs. I am a bit overweight; I should be closer to 55 lbs. With a little exercise and a good diet, I should slim down without a problem. I'm a really loving girl who is independent, keep to myself and spend my day lounging and watching. My future life would include nice, loving and dedicated people. I was attacked by a couple of dogs by absolutely no fault of my own. Even so, I can co-exist and live with them but Ziva Dog Rescue would really like to see me be an only so I can get pampered and spoiled. I really deserve it. I can walk on a leash (which would be good for me so I can shed a couple). A fenced in yard would be great but more importantly I need my humans. I am housebroken and I don't need a crate. I love to visit Home Depot and other places where I will get treats and pets and lots of attention. I am a great car rider too! I am also good with cats. My name is Lucy. I am a 2 year old Cattle Dog mix. I know - I am a bit portly - about 65 lbs but should be closer to low to mid 50s. I will get there in no time now that I am getting out on walks (I am good on leash) and staying active with my dog friends! I am housebroken, crate-trained and a great house guest. I love people and is quite the velcro dog with my humans, especially her foster mom. I love to chill on the couch; not sure I have ever been on such a comfy couch. I also love cats. I have been around MANY dogs in my life. I am good with them and I live with two now but I also need some slow intros. I want to make sure I can trust them and everyone is on the same page. 3-year-old pitty mix (exact genetics unknown, he is a rescue). Weighs around 70 lbs. Up to date on all his shots, no health issues. Has 1.5 cups of food twice a day. Eats right away as soon as you put food in his bowl, no matter the time of day. Has lots of energy, very playful and affectionate when he gets to know you. Good at listening to commands like sit, come, and out. Loves running around outside, going on walks, laying in the sun, and running with a bike. Dislikes having his nails clipped, also dislikes vacuums/dust busters (the noise drives him crazy so we keep him in his crate while vacuuming). When outside home, he is fine around strangers. When at home, he barks when he senses someone at the door (this might be something he can be trained out of in a new environment where he has less pent-up energy). Plays well with other dogs in off-leash environments like dog parks. When on walks, he might stare at other dogs but never lashes out.
