Story
We adopted Daisy from a rescue when she was four months old. She is now 1 year 8 months old and weighs 46 pounds. She is very sweet and energetic. Daisy is current on all shots and healthy. We have a sudden job change and need to move, and we can't bring her with us. She has existed well with our four children, ages 13, 11, 9 and 7. She is crate trained and spends her time inside in the crate or in our backyard. Accidents are very rare. She has limited experience with other dogs, but during dog training, they named her the "party girl" because she was playful with all the other dogs. She has never bitten anyone. On walks, she loves to carry things in her mouth. We hope she finds a loving family who is good with dogs and can continue to train her. She is food-motivated and loves to play fetch. Scratch her belly and she will love you forever. We are located in Mount Vernon WA, and heading south to move.

Story
Posted 10/11/2024 Sedro-Woolley, WA Willow is a beautiful three year old Husky. She is affectionate, friendly, and playful. She loves car rides, long walks, dog parks and day care. She will climb into your lap for cuddles. She also is stubborn, digs in flower beds, and counter surfs when the opportunity arises. She walks well with a Halti collar, without she reverts back to a sled dog pulling a heavy load! Willow lives with another dog and two teenagers. She loves all the neighborhood kids who walk by and give her pets. She’s a pretty quiet girl, doesn’t bark and only talks back occasionally. Willow has a high prey drive and cannot be around cats, which is why I need to rehome her. Please message me if you’d like more information. DOB – 10/1/21 Gender – Female Weight – 50 lbs Spayed – Yes Chipped – Yes Vaccines - UTD

Story
Jackie came to me as a foster from a relative experiencing hardship and moving out of our area. My niece has since decided not to return for her dog and has given permission to rehome him. Jackie is a 2 yr old male, not neutered, healthy and active, He would be an ideal pet for a family with children or active adults willing to provide daily walks or trips to the dog park. Jackie is crate trained and house trained. He has a secure fenced yard here and he enjoys the freedom to run and play. I'm sure he would be good with another calm dog in the family, but he sees cats as prey. He did mark his territory when he first arrived (as many male dogs do) but he was easily corrected and the marking behavior was temporary. He will come with his harness, leash, toys, and favorite blanket. If you are unfamiliar with small-breed, pug-faced dogs, I recommend you do some research on their special needs. They are not suited to 100% outdoor living. Pugs are house pets and fair weather friends outside.

Story
Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited or wants something (we now know that comes from the Boxer in her). Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs 70 pounds. Gypsy came from a bad home. She was not being fed and was severely underweight. So the people surrendered Gypsy and her puppies to animal control to avoid animal cruelty charges. We don't know why Gypsy has not been adopted yet. She is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog I have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy normally does well with all dogs but gets along best with male dogs. She would also prefer a home without annoying toy dogs or puppies that get in her face. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with children. Gypsy is smart and might benefit from more obedience training from someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is a sweet dog. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy must be in the house as a loved family member. She must be walked on a leash and have a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. Gypsy spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. She is now heartworm-free and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy is located in Texas but can be transported after she is adopted. Her adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Kent, Arlington, or Bellingham WA. Story
Rooster is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. This handsome boy was found as a stray running out in the country. He is approximately 7 months old and weighs 45 pounds. He will probably weigh in the 60-pound range when fully grown. We are not sure of his breed mixture but think he may have some lab and Doberman in him. Rooster has a great personality and disposition. He loves all of the other rescue dogs, big and small. He loves people and will lie at your feet whenever he can. He loves water and the garden fountain is his favorite spot to hang out and keep cool. Rooster is a very sweet and goofy puppy. He is pretty much house-trained and runs to go outside with his buddies. He will need some leash training and would probably do better with a harness. We have no idea of how he is with cats. Rooster loves to run and play with his dog friends and toys. He may not be suitable for a home with small children because he may knock them over when running and playing. Rooster needs a fully fenced-in and secure yard. He will be a great dog for hiking or going to the dog park. He is an active boy and will run around the yard with a toy in his mouth playing tag with his buddies. He likes to be the leader and have everyone chase him. Rooster would do well either as an only dog or with other dogs.. Rooster is a healthy and happy boy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Roosters' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Kent, Arlington, or Bellingham WA. Rooster is fostered by our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Story
Clifford is mostly Chow. He weighs around 60 pounds and we estimate he is around 2 years old. He was dumped on the side of a rural road with a litter of puppies and was rescued by good Samaritans. Clifford is a super wonderful dog. He is sweet, gentle, and good-natured. He especially loves puppies and gentle children. We do not know how he would do with cats. Clifford is a very good boy. He is crate-trained, sits on command, and walks well on a leash. Texas is extremely hot, and Clifford is happy to be in his crate inside the air-conditioned house. We are working on housetraining and he could probably use other gentle obedience training. Clifford rides well in a vehicle but is a bit nervous about getting into the vehicle. He is shy with new people (especially men) and takes some time to trust. Clifford is sensitive and scared of mean voices, rough treatment, and dogs that are mean to him. We are sure he was not treated well by whoever had him before. Clifford needs to be treated gently so he will trust you. Once he trusts you or another dog, he becomes happy and playful. Clifford deserves a wonderful home. He must be in the house as a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and have a fenced yard to run and play. Clifford is neutered, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Clifford has been treated for heartworms and is now heartworm-free. He gets monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Clifford is ready to change his zip code. He is located in Texas but can be transported after he is adopted. Clifford's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Kent, Arlington, or Bellingham WA.
