Story
Hey y'all! My name is Cooper and I am such a handsome boy. I am 10 years old, a neutered male, and have long golden red hair from head to toes! I'm looking for an extremely kind and patient owner to adopt me. My foster mom said I have to be honest with y'all, so here goes: I am beautiful and have a heart of gold! But, I can also be a grumpy old man after going through trauma and abandonment. I will probably take a while to trust you. I can growl when I don't like something, it's just my way of letting you know I might be scared. I prefer you pet me on one side of my head at a time, two hands can scare me! I also like to see your hands so you don't surprise me with sudden movements. I am a good boy. I don't tear things up. I don't go potty inside. I listen really well and I like to sleep a lot. I don't like to be alone. If you crate me please keep me near you especially at night or I will get scared and cry a lot. I want to get along with other dogs but it can be really hard for me. I have 2 docile foster brothers who are kind and patient with me. I really wish I could get along with everyone but like I said, it's hard, so I would do best as an only pet. I love people, and I just want someone to understand my trauma and my fears. I get super excited when my foster family's son comes home from school. It took a while for me to trust him, too. I would love to find my furever home! Please only reach out if you are certain about me because I'm not great at trust and transitions. I need a forever home and your home would need to be my last home so I can be safe and at peace for my golden years. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Baker has got little legs and a bit personality! He loves all kinds of playtime with people and other dogs. He is young and quite rambunctious, so an adopter prepared to work on training and energy management will be important. He would do best in a home without cats and teens and older. If this adorable guy sounds like the perfect challenge for you, come chat about Baker!

This girl loves being with her people and has even done well sharing her space with a cat and older children- though would prefer to be the only dog in the home. She enjoys playing with toys and then taking long naps. If you are ready for an absolutely adorable dog to add to your home, come meet Penelope! Her adoption fee is reduced to $50 to make it even easier to bring this lovely girl home.

Story
How adorable are we? Hi I’m Sadie. I’m a 3 month old female dachshund mix, around 5 lbs and I have three brothers. We are ready to go now and cute as little buttons! If you are looking for a small, devoted friend, you just found us... we will make the perfect addition to any family. Dachshunds are known for being playful and energetic but with these little legs we are sure you can keep up. Please keep in mind that small children maybe rough for us so be sure that if you have smalls that they don't treat us like a toy. We just want walks and love and play and treats... the list goes on... Hurry, pups like us do not last long! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Story
Hi, I'm Rosie and I see you have already read about my brother Riley. I am a one year old wire haired terrier mix, around 40 lbs. I am a sweet girl who loves everyone, although neither my brother nor I have any cat experience. I am a bit shy and I do love to have my "big" brother around so would love to go to a home with him if at all possible. Just think - double the love and fun! I am sure he said that we came from the streets so there are lots of new skills we are still learning but both of us are super sweet and are so excited to find this thing they call a "home". *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption.
