Story
Ginger is an 11-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier (possibly mixed with something, we were never told for sure). She is current on vaccines (she has a monthly allergy shot, Cytopoint), spayed, house-trained, and fun-loving! Ginger loves tug-of-war, chasing balls (though she isn't the best at giving them back to be thrown again), and running around the yard. She loves people and pets, but does not get along well with other animals. Ginger was rescued from Texas after Hurricane Harvey in 2017, after having been found wandering around in the aftermath, so it is believed she has PTSD from that and has been known to attack other animals (dogs, cats, etc.). That being said, she absolutely loves people and will always want attention and pets (even if she is quite drooly). Ginger is trained with "sit", "lay down", "out" (of the kitchen when food is being cooked), and "bed", and she absolutely loves human food. Ginger is a good dog, but definitely needs a firm hand sometimes.

Story
Meet Pearl — A Sweet & Social Jindo Mix Looking for Her Forever Family!   Name: Pearl Age: 9 months Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Brown Weight: 21 kg Height: 56 cm (shoulder height)   Personality with People   Pearl is a very affectionate and friendly girl who happily approaches both familiar people and strangers. She loves leaning in for pets and allows handling easily. With people she knows well, she’s a total sweetheart — she may jump up to give kisses and show her playful affection. She does well with children under 13 and is comfortable being gently lifted with an arm under her belly. Once she trusts you, she’ll even show her belly   Socialization with Other Dogs   Pearl enjoys greeting and playing with both familiar and unfamiliar dogs. She does have a timid side — if several dogs (even small ones) rush toward her at once, she may retreat. She can be a little socially unaware at times and may try to initiate play even if the other dog is unsure. With very high-energy dogs, she will clearly communicate when she’s uncomfortable.   Cats   Pearl has not yet been tested with cats, but a cat test can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level   Pearl has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and walks, but once her exercise is done, she settles nicely and relaxes indoors.   ‍ Walking & Leash Skills   She does pull on the leash at times but generally follows her handler well. Pearl loves sniffing and exploring, so walks often involve stopping and starting as she takes in all the scents around her   Other Behaviors & Habits   • No food guarding toward people or dogs, though she is food-motivated and may rush to eat first • Rarely barks — if uncomfortable, she may whine softly instead • Calm and well-behaved in a kennel • Gets in and out of the car on her own • Fully accustomed to outdoor potty routines   Rescue Story   Pearl was rescued with her mother and littermates after her mom entered the Ganghwa Shelter in Incheon and gave birth there. Thanks to rescue support, Pearl has grown up safe and loved — and is now ready for her forever home. Currently in Korea — available for adoption to Canada/US Apply to adopt or foster Pearl: https://adoptmekr.org Please visit our Facebook or Instagram. Pearl is a loving, joyful young dog who will make a wonderful companion for a family ready to grow with her ##2609383##

🐾 Meet Ruby — A Fun Little Redhead with a Heart of Gold! 🐾Ruby is a 6-month-old sweetheart from our special Dolly Parton/Kenny Rogers litter, and this beautiful redheaded girl is full of personality! She's the largest of her siblings at 15 pounds, but she's still a wonderfully petite girl and expected to stay in the 15–20 pound range as an adult.Ruby is a fun-loving girl who brings plenty of personality wherever she goes. She's sweet, playful, and ready to find a family who will include her in all of life's adventures. At just 6 months old, she's at the perfect age to continue learning, growing, and forming a lifelong bond with her new family.Ruby came into our care as an owner surrender, and now she's ready for the fresh start she deserves. She may be the biggest of her siblings, but she's still the perfect small size—big enough to keep up with you and small enough to curl up right beside you. This special litter was named as a tribute to Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, two country music legends whose friendship and music touched generations. We especially love honoring Dolly because she has always been a true animal lover and advocate, making her the perfect inspiration for these little rescue pups. ❤️🐾Ruby is ready to leave her past behind and find the forever family who will love her, spoil her, and make her part of the family for good.📍 Located in Texas – can be transported once adopted. ❤️🎶 Meet Kenny Rogers! 🎶❤️Every litter needs a little music, and this handsome boy was named in honor of the legendary Kenny Rogers — with his sisters carrying on the Dolly Parton side of the tribute. Because what's better than a little country music and a whole lot of puppy love? ❤️🐾Kenny is the only boy in his litter, and this red-and-white sweetheart is one special guy! He looks a lot like his sister Ruby, with beautiful red-and-white coloring, long legs, and an absolutely fabulous personality.Kenny is sweet, playful, and full of charm. He's the kind of boy who is happy to be involved in whatever is happening and has that easygoing personality that makes you fall in love with him pretty quickly. 🥰With his long legs and handsome coloring, Kenny is going to be quite the head-turner when he grows up — but it's his great personality that really steals the show. And since he was named after Kenny Rogers, we think he's destined to find his own “Islands in the Stream” kind of love — the kind that lasts forever. ❤️This handsome boy is ready to find his forever family and start the next chapter of his story.🐾 Interested in Kenny? Please visit the SCARF website and submit an adoption application to be considered for this sweet boy: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41Kenny can be transported from Texas for an additional $300 transport fee. 🚐❤️*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Story
Some dogs are perfectly happy being extras. They wander through the background of life, making brief appearances and then disappearing again.Bubbles is not one of those dogs.Bubbles is absolutely convinced she is the main character. She approaches life with enthusiasm, curiosity, and the firm belief that something exciting is about to happen. She loves to play, loves to learn, and loves having someone special to follow from room to room, just in case they need assistance with whatever important activity they are doing. For the last two and a half years, however, the story has not gone according to plan. You see, every main character eventually gets to their big moment. The chapter where they find their family. The scene where they finally walk through the front door of the place they belong. The happy ending everyone has been waiting for.Bubbles has been patiently waiting for that chapter to begin. The strange thing is that she is ready for it. She is smart, fun, affectionate, and full of personality. She lights up when she trusts someone and gives her whole heart once she decides you are her person.Yet somehow, her story is still sitting on the shelf waiting for the next page to be turned.Additional chapters, photographs, and behind-the-scenes footage of Bubbles' story can be found here:https://hope4lapawz.org/wp1/bubbles-2023056DWe think it’s time someone fixed that.Bubbles isn’t looking for a temporary role or a guest appearance. She is looking for her forever family. The people who will finally give her the starring role she was always meant to have. And honestly? We’ve been waiting for that chapter, too. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.
