Story
Tessa came to our shelter with very badly injured back legs. She had difficulty getting around, but has now been on a pain management routine that has improved her happiness and mobility greatly! She would thrive in a home with few stairs, if any, but is able to walk, jog, and explore all on her own! Tessa is a wonderful companion! She is an energetic dog who loves people, is always excited for a long walk, and soaks up being pet by her owner and others. She doesn't mind being in her crate when you're out, and will be very happy to see you when you return! Tessa loves frequent walks, and is always interested in a long nap after! She is a peaceful sleeper, and sleeps through the night. Don't worry about her going to the bathroom in the house, as long as she is being walked a couple times a day, she will be all good! Tessa just needs home without other animals, and she'll be on her best behavior! March 21, 2025, 9:58 am

Story
Dora is a sweet, playful, and affectionate girl who is ready to bring joy to a lucky forever home. At around 60 pounds, she might think she`s a lap dog- and honestly, we won`t tell her otherwise. She`s been spending time in the office with staff and has shown everyone just how well behaved, gentle and loving she is. Dora is potty trained, treat motivated, and lets you know what she wants by using her paw. Her favorite game in the world? Fetch!! She`s a pro at it and will happily play until it is time to settle down- and when it is, she does so beautifully. Whether curled up on a dog bed or laying quietly on the floor, Dora knows how to relax. She`s friendly with everyone she meets- both people and other dogs- and takes treats with the softest touch. The only time Dora gets a little down is when it`s time to return to her kennel. Out of it, she truly shines and is eager to show her full personality. Come meet Dora and let her paw her way right into your heart! This pet qualifies for our Sponsored by Simba Program: Pets for Veterans- no adoption fee for any military veteran adopting a pet 1 year old +This pet is available at:Brandywine Valley SPCACopeland Center for Animal Welfare290 Churchmans RsNew Castle, DE 19720
