Story
Hairy is super sweet and thrives on attention and exercise! I adopted him through ARF and my new job requires frequent travel. Hairy is a great companion and pet and plays with other dogs in my family a lot! He is easy to train - so smart - his coat is thick and he loves to be brushed. It doesn’t get tangled though like some breeds. He is around other people often and listens so well! I don’t see any signs of past trauma with him and he adjusted quickly when I brought him home. He would be a great addition to your home.

Story
Basil is a friendly and loving dog looking for an affectionate home. She is spayed, up-to-date on her shots. Due to her strong preference for being the only pet, Basil needs a home without other dogs or cats. This also means she requires a large yard for exercise, as walks and dog parks are difficult for her. While she is smart and knows commands like sit, lay down, and come, she would benefit from further training, especially regarding staying off furniture. She is crate trained. Basil is a large dog, and as such, would thrive in a home with older children or adults to avoid unintentionally knocking over toddlers. She has a lot of hair and needs frequent brushing. Basil loves to be pet and will thrive in a home where she can be the center of attention.

He'll stick by your side through thick and thin, and he'll be your confidante and your cuddle buddy. What's not to love? So, if you're ready for some fun and adventure, come and meet Bones!

Story
My name is Frankie, and I am a 9-month-old Beagle and Hound Mix. I currently weigh around 20 lbs. I enjoy running around in a fenced yard and playing with toys. I get along well with other dogs and enjoy interacting with my foster pack and foster parents. However, I have not yet been exposed to cats. Please note that I experience separation anxiety and do not fare well when crated or kenneled. When confined, I tend to bark, whine, and shred bedding. Therefore, I would thrive best in a home where someone is present most of the time. Occasionally, I may urinate inside the crate or hike my leg on the outside of it. Due to my tendency to chew on inappropriate items, I cannot be left unsupervised outside the crate. At night, I prefer to sleep in bed to keep an eye on you. I am about 75% house-trained but still require timely outdoor breaks. I am fairly proficient on a leash but would benefit from additional training. I would appreciate a fenced yard to burn off my energy. I enjoy eating and receiving treats from my foster family, though I do not like crates. If you are interested in meeting this dog, please contact Teri at 630-897-7454. The adoption fee is $275. Adoption fee includes: - microchip - spay/neuter - age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies - heartworm preventive & flea/tick preventive - deworming
