Story
Hi, I'm Mountain and I am looking for a new home. I am a beautiful dog and I know it! I like to sit on your feet or stand in your lap. I got my name because I like to stand on people with all four feet, like a mountain goat. I am dog selective and don't like being greeted by other dogs on leash, but I have lived with and played with other dogs. I love people most of all. I am good with little kids, but do ask that I have a space that's my own where I can go if I need a break. I am housetrained, microchipped, crate trained, and know quite a few commands. Unfortunately, due to some family health issues, I need to find my next family to love. Fee includes several months of flea/tick and heartworm meds as well as any leftover food.

Story
I picked up Sherman aka Big Sherm from someone who was giving him away. He is 3 yrs old. The landlord gave them 1 day to re-home Shermy. I was afraid he would go to someone who might hurt him, so I took him in. Hes a good boy, but needs someone who can help in his training. He is too big & strong for me, Im 62 and cant walk him without being pulled. He likes to nap a lot. It took a few months but he played with my Chihuahua and he leaves my cats alone. He has played with my son's dogs. He would nip at my granddaughter socks and try taking them off. She avoids him, so Im not sure how he would do around children. He needs his vaccines, he is unaltered. He also has a fixable cherry eye. He likes to lay with his head in my my lap & snuggle. I would keep him but I dont have the finances or the strength to train him. He sits & stays on command. Adoption fee will be refunded to his new family after 3 months. He needs someone who is patient, kind, and who will love him dearly & forever.

Story
Diamond is an extremely sweet and friendly 38 lb, female, 2 year-old blue nose pitbull. Found as a stray in Indiana, she is looking for a loving forever home with a new family. Named for a white, diamond-shaped fur patch on her neck, Diamond is a soft cuddle bug who loves to just hang out with her foster parents all day long. She is happy with a walk a day, a few bones to chew, and a little attention. Warning - Diamond will burrow herself under your blankets in order to be as close to you as possible! Diamond is housetrained and crate trained, and she comes to you quickly when called. She is easily excitable, so we would recommend that there are no small children or fragile adults in the home. However, she does appear to love children and has been happy to receive lots of pets from all children, so we believe that she would do well in a home with kids 7-8+ years old. As for other dogs, Diamond has been friendly with her foster parents’ dogs, and she does best with dogs who are more submissive or non-reactive. She very rarely barks on her own accord, but she will bark back and stand her ground if another dog barks at her. To set her up for success, Diamond would benefit from intentional set-ups to meet other pups. Diamond is being walked on a harness, and she is doing great at learning loose-leash walking. This girl is highly smart, treat-motivated and loves positive reinforcement training! She is eager to please her humans, and you will be greeted by the wiggliest butt every time she sees you. Her foster parents can easily see her being an amazing family pet! It won’t take long for you to fall in love with her. She is up to date on all of her vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and is heartworm negative. If you would like to meet this dog please call Teri at 630-897-7454. The adoption fee is $225. Adoption fee includes: - microchip - spay/neuter - age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies - heartworm preventive & flea/tick preventive - deworming

Story
My name is Romeo, and I am a 2-3 year Pom mix. My foster family thinks it may be Husky or American Eskimo. I am a light guy at 17 lbs. I am just a big snuggle bug, I love snuggling with my foster family, whether on the couch, floor, or the bed. I am very gentle with the Pomeranian pack that I currently live with; they are all males. I do prefer male dogs over female dogs. I would also prefer a home without children under 13 years old. I like running in the yard and chasing my foster brothers. The foster home has many toys to play with, and I will toss them around and play tug-of-war. My favorite thing is when they are not looking to see how many toys I can relocate to the backyard. I am a little food-aggressive with other dogs, so I prefer my own space to eat. I love my morning treats and bedtime treats, and if you are late, I will talk to you to let you know that I need a treat fix. I am learning much better how to go potty outside. I do occasionally still mark in the house, but my foster family is correcting me on this. I do have nerves when going to a new place and it takes me a few days to adjust to a new location and learn the rules. I will run away if given the chance, so a secure fenced yard or a home with no small children, who don't know to not leave the door open, would be best. I know sit, lay, stay, and have been learning to dance. I like getting up on my back legs and twirling. I am always up to stretch on my family so I can get whole body massages and will not pass up a good belly rub or head scratch. If you would like to meet me, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. The adoption fee is $225. Adoption fee includes: - microchip - spay/neuter - age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies - heartworm preventive & flea/tick preventive - deworming

Story
Hi, my name is Sally. I am a 2 year old hound mix. I came with five puppies (check out the “5” marking on my left side), who have all been adopted. Now it’s my turn to find my forever family. I rarely have accidents indoors and am working on this. I only bark when I see someone outside my window. I love walks and I don’t pull too hard on my leash, most of the time. I would love to have a home with a fenced yard so I can run free. I love to be petted between my eyes and brushed everywhere. There are lots of outside cars around here and I’m curious about them, but I don’t chase them. I love to cuddle and am very gentle. I know you’re out there so come and take me home. who weighs about 45 pounds. The dog is good with other dogs and people. This dog is altered and up to date on shots. If you would like to meet this dog, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. The adoption fee is $225. Adoption fee includes: - microchip - spay/neuter - age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies - heartworm preventive & flea/tick preventive - deworming
