Story
Meet our 3-year-old male Bull Terrier, Apollo, a beautiful black-and-white pup with a big personality and even bigger energy. He’s incredibly friendly and loves being around people, always eager for attention and playtime. He does jump up at times, and will nip lightly when overstimulated. He's been primarily an outdoor dog, so potty training will be a must if you plan to keep him indoors. Due to recent changes in our work schedules, we’re no longer able to give him the time and engagement he deserves. He thrives on activity and would be a great match for an owner with an active lifestyle who can dedicate time to training and regular exercise. We’re looking to re-home him with someone who can give him the care, structure, and fun he needs to truly thrive.

Story
Dog's Name: Gracie Location : Ft. Atkinson, WI Age or Date of Birth: July 2021 (estimate)Gender: FemaleBreed: Cane Corso MixFoster Dog's Weight: 86 lbs Gracie gets along with:Dogs?: All female and puppies Needs a slow introduction to other dogs.Cats?: Unknown but unlikely due to prey driveKids?:  Yes - would do best with slow introduction Potty Trained - indicates need to potty and doesn't have indoor accidents Car - Rides well in the car Meet Gracie – A Loyal Heart Looking for Her Safe Place Gracie is passionate about protecting her people and her furry siblings as well as her environment. She enjoys spending her time relaxing or cuddling with the occasional rough housing session with her foster sister. She likes interactive toys with treats, but also likes to chew on cardboard or wood (will find it in yourhome if left alone). Gracie is selective of her playmates, but has and continues to show great strides with this with consistent training. New situations and busy environments can be overwhelming for Gracie, so she’s searching for a quiet home with an experienced adopter who understands guardian breeds and is committed to continuing her training with patience and consistency. Her protective nature makes her an excellent companion for someone seeking a devoted, one-on-one connection. Gracie does love chewing and needs to be kenneled or in an enclosed room when left alone.  She is muzzle trained for unfamiliar environments which helps her feel safe in unfamiliar situations.  It's important her future family is comfortable continuing this practice.  Gracie does love chewing and would need to be kenneled or in an enclosed room when left alone. Gracie isn’t looking for a social life—she’s looking for her person. Someone who will respect her boundaries, appreciate her loyalty, and give her the peaceful home she deserves. In return, she’ll be your fiercest protector and most loyal friend.  She will do best in a home with guardian breed experience.  Her adopter needs to be patient and allow her to adapt to her new environment at her own pace.  Gracie can be around children as long as they are old enough to understand and respect her boundaries. Gracie would be fine alone or in a house with another non-dominant medium or larger breed female (can be a puppy), but would not do well with smaller breeds as she sees them as prey, however she continues to show progress with accepting more dogs. While she doesn't require a fenced yard, it would be recommended as she does have a prey drive for smaller animals like squirrels.  To apply to adopt from Just Giants Rescue, you can visit https://justgiants.org/adopt/ to fill out an application. Dog’s Name: Summer Location: Bartlett, IL Age or Date of Birth: 08/27/2024 Gender: Female Breed: Great Dane Color: Grey and white Weight: 75 lbs Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs  Cats?: Unknown Kids?: All kids Training: Leash trained: We're working on it Crate/Kennel:  Summer is stressed in a crate.  She barks, but doesn't try to get out Car:  Rides Well in car Meet Summer, a lovable Great Dane puppy with the perfect balance of playful energy and laid-back charm. Whether she's doing backyard zoomies or going for a walk, Summer enjoys staying active—but she's just as happy snuggling up on the couch for a cozy afternoon nap. She adores children and would happily curl up in her foster brother’s bed if given the chance. Summer is still adjusting to being alone in her crate, but she’s making progress, just like she is with her leash manners. She would thrive in a home with a fenced-in yard and an older, well-mannered dog sibling who can match her energy while helping guide her as she grows. Summer is a sweet, affectionate pup looking for a family that can offer her love, structure, and room to run. Summer is great with other dogs and would really benefit from having a slightly older, well-mannered dog sibling—someone who can keep up with her energy while helping show her the ropes. A fenced-in yard is a must for this girl, as she’s still learning boundaries and has a bit of a prey drive, typical for her age and breed. Summer would do best in a home that can offer her structure, activity, and affection. A fenced yard is important to keep her safe while she stretches those long legs, and a dog companion would be a bonus. While she’s still young and growing, she’s incredibly smart and eager to please—making her a wonderful match for adopters ready to invest in her future. If you're ready to add a playful, loyal, and absolutely adorable companion to your life, Summer is waiting to meet you! Dog’s Name: Bruno Location: Belleville, Il. Age or Date of Birth: 2 yrs Gender: Male Breed: St. Bernard Color: Brown & White Dog's Weight: 150 (approx) Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs Cats?:  All Cats  Kids?: All kids, Older kids, needs slow introduction Training: Leash trained: Walks on loose leash Crate/Kennel: Goes in on his own, but is anxious if the door is closed. Potty trained: We're working on it. Car: Still assessing Meet Bruno – The Giant Sweetheart! Bruno is a big boy with an even bigger heart! This gentle giant is sweet, submissive, and gets along well with other dogs. He’s even been respectful around cats — just a curious sniff and then he's on his way. Bruno is still adjusting to life outside of the pack he came from, which has been a bit of a challenge for him emotionally. He’s showing improvement every day and is slowly gaining confidence and comfort in his new routine. He’ll go into a crate on his own to nap or sleep, but still gets anxious if the door is closed, so his foster family keeps it open to help him feel secure. Bruno is currently working on potty training and basic house manners, and while he’s making progress each day, he’ll do best in a home with someone experienced in handling giant breeds. Due to his size and strength, he needs guidance and structure — and possibly a confident dog companion to help show him the ropes. Bruno's ideal adopter is one who is experienced with large or giant breeds, patient and consistent with training, and one who is always or quite often home as he thrives on companionship..  A fur sibling would be great to provide the additional companionship he craves. Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption.
