Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hey there, I’m Dalilah! I’m a 64-pound Boxer mix, professional squirrel chaser, and part-time nap enthusiast. My puppies have all been adopted (you’re welcome, world), and now it’s my turn for a forever home! &#226&#156&#168 When I’m not running off squirrels and bunnies like the neighborhood security guard &#239&#184&#143, I’m usually lounging around looking adorable. I’m fully potty trained — zero accidents, 100% good girl. &#226&#156&#133 I love walks, tennis balls, and kids (especially the ones with snacks). I might borrow a stuffed animal or two… purely for emotional support, of course. Cats? Hard pass. They look suspiciously like bunnies, and I take my duties seriously. Car rides aren’t my fave — I prefer a cozy crate where I can grumble quietly about the traffic. Oh, and fun fact: I’m a surprisingly good swimmer! ‍&#226&#153&#128&#239&#184&#143 (Baywatch who?) I get along with most dogs and promise to bring love, laughter, and a little chaos to your life — in the best way possible. So come on — take a chance on your new favorite girl! Apply at projecthopearf.org before I chase my next squirrel! Born 10/6/2022  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 30, 2025, 3:08 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Tera — Mama of the T Litter and Queen of the Dino Roar! Tera is a 3-year-old Pittie mix with a heart of gold and a voice that could star in Jurassic Bark. When she’s in her kennel, she sounds like a tiny pterodactyl demanding snacks and attention — but the second she’s out, she’s as sweet and gentle as can be. Pure cuddle bug mode activated! Tera is a super energetic, playful girl who brings a ton of joy (and zoomies!) wherever she goes. She loves toys, treats, and anyone ready for a good cuddle once she’s settled. Tera is still learning her manners and will do best with a family with older kids or someone who can provide consistency and structure. When left alone, she does great in her crate—no accidents and she settles in well. Because she’s still working on house training outside of the crate, she does best with three walks a day to avoid indoor accidents. We're practicing calmer greetings and the “sit” command, especially before walks. When she sees you putting on your shoes, she can get mouthy or try to grab items, so patience and continued training will go a long way. Once she’s relaxed, she transforms into the sweetest snuggle buddy who loves to curl up and soak in the affection. Tera is a smart, loving pup with a lot of potential and a lot of heart. With the right adopter—someone patient, active, and consistent—she will make an incredible companion. &#226&#156&#168 Come meet this silly, loving sweetheart and give her the home she’s been dreaming of. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Rascal  Hi, I’m Rascal, I was brought to the rescue with some of my siblings and I am still looking for my forever home. Since getting to my fosters home, they say that my name lives up to my personality. I guess that means I’m a little rascal I sleep in my crate with no issues, I might cry once but once I’m snuggled in, I can sleep through the night with no accidents (I’m a big boy). I am getting better at potty training and in a short period of time, I’ve gotten better. I love to play with any toy and get the zoom zooms from time to time. I absolutely LOVE chewing on bones . I love to snuggle and will melt in your arms if I have a nice little spot to snuggle into. All I want is something warm and soft and I’m the goodest boy. Oh! And I took a bath so I’m smelling fresh and clean I am not a big fan of water but after a few minutes it wasn’t so bad. I didn’t even have an accident. I’m still a baby (as my foster parents say) so I do need patience but I already know how to sit and am treat motivated. I can’t wait to learn more with my forever family Born 8/7/25  Apply at: projecthopearf.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 17, 2026, 10:03 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Feb. 18, 2026 Zuri’s fostering is going great, and it’s only Day 8!! She slept for the first three days, and ventured out of her crate on her own after five days. She soon discovered a comfy spot on the sofa next to her humans! Tasty treats and a house leash are helping her  learn to come, instead of dodging. She is housebroken (scratches at the door and whimpers to go out), and walks like a champ on the leash. She gets spooked by wind and people who get too close, but she gets a lot of positive feedback and encouragement to be brave. She doesn’t mind having her paws washed after walks, and even tolerates the bathtub! She ignores the two cats in the house, shows no interest in squirrels in the park, and enjoys classical music while her humans are out for a few hours. She has not barked yet, and sheds very little—such a perfect little house guest! Considering how timid she was in the shelter, she has really come a long way in the past eight days! As she gets more comfortable, she will probably become more food driven and playful. Her current fosters can only keep her until the end of February, but she will surely blossom with a family that is patient and positive.    Come meet Zuri.  An adorable dog just waiting for a loving home.  She was rescued from Memphis Animal Services where she gave birth to 8 puppies!  Zuri takes time to warm up but once she does she's sweet.  She would love a foster home so she can learn to trust humans. Would you like to work with her?  Born 10/31/23 Apply at projecthopearf.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 18, 2026, 4:56 pm
