Story
Archie is a 3 1/2 month old male (Standard) Cavapoo puppy who currently weighs 14.5 lbs. He will likely be around 30 lbs. when full grown. His birthdate is 5/17/26. ARCHIE SHEDS AND IS NOT HYPOALLERGENIC. He appears to have inherited more of the Cavalier breed traits! He came to us as an owner surrender, through no fault of his own. Their other dog was not happy about sharing his home so the family decided it was best for Archie to be re-homed. Archie is up to date on vaccines, HW/Flea/Tick prevention. He will need to be neutered at 6 months (Nov). Rescue will cover the cost of his neuter as long as it’s done at Midwest Vet Hospital. Archie is your typical, adorable puppy with all the behaviors that go with being 3 1/2 months old. He is full of energy and puppy antics including nipping, jumping, play biting, and wanting to chew on anything and everything within his reach. We have been working with a trainer to help Archie learn his good boy manners through positive reinforcement. He’s making progress! Lots of consistency and patience required! He’s making good progress on his house training as long as he’s closely monitored and kept on a schedule. REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: • a home with securely fenced yard. No electric/invisible fences and no apartments. • a home with another dog who is playful and well-mannered. Archie is crate trained and sleeps in his crate through the night for 8 hours. He keeps his crate dry. During the daytime, the maximum time he can be crated without a potty break is 3 1/2 - 4 hours. Archie has been around kids ages 8 and up. He still nips and jumps so a home with kids over the age of 6 would probably be best. Will need regular brushing 2-3 times a week. And professional grooming a minimum of every 2 months. Local adoptions only, within a one hour driving distance of the Cleveland, OH area. We require a home visit for the meet and greet and this keeps it manageable. If interested in adopting Archie, please complete an application on our website at https://dogsunlimitedrescue.org/adoptables.html

Story
Nora is a wonderful, beautiful, sweet Husky, who we rescued at the end of 2024. She is a dream to walk and run with. She does well with our 7 and 10yo kids and our other dog (10lb) and cat but we introduced them gradually. According to the staff where she boards, she does well with older male dogs. She displays some guarding behavior. Life circumstances have changed such that we feel we are no longer able to provide her with the amount of exercise and attention she deserves so want to find her a better suited family. She would be great with a person or family that goes hiking or running regularly. She is still a husky so some experience is probably helpful.

Story
Very active 1.5 year dog. Does better with larger dogs compared to small ones, cuddle bug if you get her tired enough. Would do better in a home with older kids or none at all. Needs training to be calm enough with younger kids. Non aggressive just doesn’t understand how large she is.Is an excited pisser but is manageable with an appropriate amount of potty breaks. Over all good girl very affectionate.Knows basic commands. Sit, lay down, kennel, bed, wait (for food). Very smart girl (yet stupid lol) could probably practice agility she loves to jump threw hoops and tunnels at the dog park.Housing situation unfortunately changed just trying to find a good home.

Story
Meet Outlaw!Outlaw is a handsome young guy of around 1 year old who is full of sweetness and affection. He loves spending time with playing and snuggling with the people closest to him. With his bright personality and loving nature, Outlaw is sure to bring plenty of joy and companionship to his future family.Outlaw has shown potential to live with another dog, but he can occasionally feel uncomfortable around canine companions. Because of this, any future dog friends should be introduced slowly and thoughtfully to help him feel confident and secure.Outlaw can be a bit sensitive around new people. Due to his shyness, Outlaw would do best in a home with children ages 13 and older. At this time, we do not know how Outlaw feels about cats.If you`re looking for a sweet, loving companion who is ready to find his forever home, Outlaw may be the perfect match for you! Stop in today at The Humane Society of Summit County to meet him!

Story
Meet Cactus! This goofy one year old pup is searching for the perfect person, or family, to give all his love and energy to! Cactus is a 60 pound retriever mix full of all the playfulness and energy of a young pup! A goofball at heart, Cactus loves running around carefree and feeling the breeze in his fur. Playful and not picky, he`ll keep himself more than content with a tennis ball to fetch, a squeaky toy to chew on, or a rope to tug. While Cactus is high energy, he`s also very smart and can quickly learn new behaviors (he already knows sit and down!).A bit sensitive in nature, Cactus can take a little bit of time to warm up to new people. But with plenty of patience and a couple yummy treats he`s sure to be a fast friend in no time. Due to his sensitive nature, if there were kids in his forever home they would have to be ages 13-16 and older.Cactus shows potential to live with other pups, however, he will need a slow introduction to any new doggie siblings in order to ensure that he is feeling safe and confident adjusting to his new friends! At this time, we are unsure how Cactus would do around cats. Looking for a goofy young pup to keep the days filled with fun times and snuggles? Stop by and meet Cactus today or call (330) 487-0333 ext. 803!
