Story
This is our boy Archie. He is four years old. He’s always been a sweet loving boy but, has never been good with hectic surroundings. He is very selective on the dogs and people that he likes, but when he likes them, he really does. He tends to be reactive at times. I have a one and a half-year-old and have been trying for that long to get him used to her. He liked her until she started moving around and making noise. He has also attacked my cats many times, but only when they are being crazy. I noticed he’ll do well until there is hyperactivity I’ve tried to train him out of it myself, but it hasn’t worked. My daughter fell out of the highchair, and, in the middle of all the chaos, he ended up attacking my thigh. He has never bit before, and I think the chaos of the situation made him react that way. He growls at my daughter when she’s running up to him. He needs a kid free place, someone who can work with him on his issues. I love him so much but he is a danger to my child.

Story
A gorgeous blue velvet Staffordshire/ Boxer mix with a soft coat, Finnick has lots of love to share. He has lots of energy, loves rolling in the grass and playing fetch. Finnick enjoys hanging out with people outside during playtime. He would enjoy being the only in pet in the home with a fenced yard and would love to be your companion . With an estimated birth date of March 2, 2021 and weighing 58 pounds, Finnick has been vet checked, neutered, is up to date on vaccines, on flea & heartworm prevention. Currently he is on sensitive stomach food. We hope that once he is out of the stresses of the shelter, he might be able to return to regular dog food. We ask a donation of $145 cash to help with vet expenses and a dog license. Pets are seen by appointment. We ask people to complete an interest form which is online at https://pawshumane.weebly.com/interest-form.html . Story
Archie, a Lab/English Mastiff mix, is looking for his forever home. Archie was surrendered to the shelter after his owner passed away. Sadly for Archie, he now has trust issues and can be slow to warm up to new people, but once he has your trust, he is a friendly and playful companion. Archie loves playing & treats. Because of his size & strength, Archie would do better in a home without young children. Archie requires a patient owner as he will need sufficient time to decompress in his new home. Obedience training is recommended to help establish a strong bond with his new owner. A physical fenced yard is also recommended for running and playing as well as preventing him from getting out. He has a birth date of December 23, 2020, has been vet checked, neutered, is up to date on vaccines, on flea and heartworm prevention. As an adoption special, we ask an adoption fee of $125 cash which includes a dog license. Pets are seen by appointment. We ask people to complete an interest form which is online at https://pawshumane.weebly.com/interest-form.html As it's a Google doc., if you have ipad or iphone, please email us for a fillable form at pawshumanesocietyinc@gmail.com

Story
Fred is a very good dog. He is loving, and good tempered. He would do best on a farm, or a large property. He loves to be outside, and patrol the yard. He is very territorial, and so he will bark if/when someone comes to the door. He is housebroken, crate trained, and is overall very well behaved. We have children, and he is always very patient with them. He is shy to newcomers, so it may take him a minute to warm up to you, but once he does he will love you forever. The other thing to mention is that he is very territorial over his food, so he should be fed by himself, and not with another animal around. Other than that, he is a very good boy!

Story
Louie has been a sweet companion for our family for 9 years now. He was born March 17th 2016. Great with dogs, loves car rides. Absolutely full of love and life. We started raising a family with kids who had high needs, lost jobs, gained jobs back, lost our rental do to our home being sold. We had no choice but to move. The only option we had was for our dogs to go to my in laws. They are in a fenced in area and sheltered which is great. Louie is not getting any exercise and isn’t living life to the fullest anymore. We are unsure how long we will be in this situation so I want the absolute best for him. Reasons why I said unsure on kids: he’s great around older kids who are gentle and understand boundaries, younger kids (he’s great with mine) I would do a very slow transition with that. As far as house trained- he does great when taken in and out. Being alone for a long amount of time he may have an accident. As of now he’s been sheltered outdoor for 1 entire year.
