Story
Ryder is a sweet boy that we rescued about two years ago. He is perfect with people who give him his space until he trusts them. The issue is that he is very aggressive toward strainers and people that try to approach him other than our household members and a hand full of others. He will bite if he feels threatened, he has become a liability for our family due to the fact that in two years of training he still occasionally becomes aggressive out of the blue and will bite people. He is small so bites have caused minimal damage but we have children and their friends and our friends are have been bitten in some rare instances. He really is sweet and needs a companion to devote a lot of time. He is very attached to me but does not like any other men. He could be a great companion for an individual that lives alone and has a lot of time for snuggling and playing.

Story
Hello, this is Grayson and he is a 7 year old Pomeranian. I've had him since he was 2 years old. He currently lives in a house with me and my wife, 2 other dogs(shih tzus) and 2 cats. The issue we are having is he acts completely different when I am not around. He recently has gotten aggressive towards my wife and the other dogs in the house. He has bitten her in the past. We have just completed a shy dog obedience 6 week class to work on this and he is showing progress. He is going to need a very patient owner that has time to work with him. He is on prescribed anti-anxiety medication. I feel he would do best in a home with much fewer pets than our current zoo. He loves to go on walks and car rides. He knows a sit command and a few tricks. He's not really a cuddler but does like pets and belly rubs. He is crate trained and sleeps in it all night with no issues. Rehoming fee negotiable, I just want him to go to a good home with someone who had the time and energy to work with him.

Story
Ellie is a sweet girl! She is great with our young boys, loves to play with them and match there energy! Unfortunately, we are looking to re-home her as my husband will be deploying for the military and I will be moving around during this time. She also needs more attention than what we can give her at this time as we are raising small boys.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*Update 7/31/2023 Duke- is potty trained-  had only one poo in the house- drinks a large amount of water but will go out when asked and nearly always will pee- no potty accidents- we put a treat in the kennel so he will go in but then he settles and lies down- loves treats and food- eats quickly- sits for treats- have him wait until our other two have finished otherwise he will try to steal theirs but does well w/ this- enjoys toys- not generally destructive but will chomp on them until they no longer squeak- will pull moderately when on leash and curious about others but not reactive- I'd be willing to bet that he is part Labrador based on appearance/ behaviors- boxador- tries to eat tissues-displays mouthy behavior and as he gets more excited or agitated pressure may increase to where it seems he like he  will bite- has not broken skin but it does cause discomfort-is not kenneled at night- sleeps in our bed, couch, or dog bed- is kenneled when we are not home (mostly for work)- needs more training riding in truck- doesn't like to stay in back Likes to cuddle/snuggle- he is a BIG BOY- large paws and head- super cute, friendly, sweet- areas that need improvement are listening and manners but they have come a long way already! *Update* I am settling in to my foster home! I have had no potty accidents, settle into my crate when motivated by a treat, and am food motivated! Watch me sit and snuggle for a delicious treat! I like to snuggle and am noted for my large paws and head! I am super cute, friendly, sweet, and could us e some help on manners, but, who doesn't?   Do you have a dog looking for a dog buddy? Then Duke is the dog for you! An unclaimed stray, Duke is 4 years old and loves to play! Duke is food motivated and is taking medicated baths for his skin, but with some love, food, and playtime, he will reach his full potential of being the best doggy ever!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 4, 2023, 1:17 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Have you heard Henry's story? He's a 4yo male boxer who was hit by a car in Ohio and left for dead. The shelter picked him up, and he waited alone for five long days for his family to come get him.  They never came.  A complete stranger saw the shelter's story about Henry online and wanted to help. This good Samaritan, despite knowing they couldn't keep Henry long-term, picked him up from the shelter and took him home and began to arrange medical care, while at the same time starting a search for others who could help find Henry a forever home.  That's where MNBR comes in. One of our members saw Henry's story and connected us, and we stepped in to help secure a foster and ongoing medical attention for this good boy.    Henry's original prognosis was that his injuries were catastrophic.  He would need to have one of his legs amputated, plus additional surgeries to address what appeared to be major spine damage as well as damage to two of his other legs and hips. The situation seemed dire. But as it turns out, our boy Henry is a fighter!!!    Despite his situation, he was in good spirits and started to show improvements in his legs, so the team decided to move forward with finding a treatment path for him. An MRI and assessment revealed that Henry's injuries, while extensive, were operable, and the orthopedic surgeon believed that they could save all Henry's limbs!  Since then, Henry has had several therapies, including new water therapy, and he is healing!  Henry is a sweet boy who is the definition of a champ! He is settling into his foster home and is working towards recovery at his own speed.  For more information about all the AMAZING progress Henry has made, check out Minnesota Boxer Rescue on Facebook for our updated posts about Henry. And if you follow us on social media, you can keep up with weekly updates and pictures!  Henry is looking for a loving fur-ever home and any family who adopts him will be lucky to have this big fur ball of sunshine in their lives! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 4, 2023, 1:17 pm
