His birthday is around June of 2020, a pandemic puppy! He came to rescue over two years ago with his deaf sister, Amara.. They had each other but didn't know that humans could communicate with them. Seeing the light bulb come on has been so fun! Angus knows " Come, Kennel Up, and Sit" but everything else, he reads from his foster mom's body language. Angus loves to play outside with his sister and smell all the smells. He loves to have toys so much that he'lloften race inside so he can gather up all the toys (especially from his sister's kennel before we notices) and hoard them in his kennel. He has a wonderful relationship with Amara, his sister. It would be nice if they were adopted them together but it's not required. We ask that he be the only other animal in the home, except for his sister, just because there's a learning curve for other animals about how to make their presence known so deaf dogs aren't "snuck up on". Angus does not have a mean bone in his body but he's a bit of a bull in a China shop kind of boy! He just likes to run fast and slide through his turns! A fenced in yard is required so Angus can be free to explore and smell all the smells. This boy will steal your heart the minute you meet him. He's always happy and greets you with a smile on his face. ##1971033##

If you follow Emotional Rescue on Facebook, you're already familiar with Cody! This sweet boy wasn't sure who he could trust and who he couldn't after someone cut off his ears. Now he knows that his foster mom won't let anyone hurt him. We're going to list Cody's breed as a Shepherd mix but those who know about Reservation dogs of South Dakota would describe him as a "Dingo": red coat, longer nose, Amber eyes and a sweet demeanor. Cody is a really smart boy, with a birthday around March 21, 2022. He's potty trained, kennel trained and is happy to be around his people. Cody can be a little hesitant at first around new dogs but he's warmed up nicely to his rescue foster dogs! To meet Cody, apply at emotionalrescuedogs.org. ##1971030##

Story
Are you looking for a new best friend? Well, your search is over! My name is Frankie, and I’ve been waiting for that special someone. I’ve been told I’m really sweet and handsome too. I will need a little extra time to trust, but I promise if you give me a chance you won’t regret it. Meet Frankie – Your future walking buddy and life tour guide. Frankie’s two favorite things are treats and walks. He will sit nicely for treats, and he walks well on leash. Walking with Frankie is fun! And if given the opportunity he will pick his route for where is wants to explore. Frankie has a plan for his adventure, and he wants to share it with you. He prefers walking off road so put on those hiking shoes. Frankie proudly carries his toy in his mouth on ALL his walks. Heads turn. Smiles bloom. Strangers stop mid-conversation just to say, Aww!” Frankie takes a little time to warm up to new folks – think of it as earning a VIP pass to his inner circle. Once he feels safe, be ready for him to melt your heart when he stares into your eyes and gives you kisses. Frankie deserves all your love and prefers to be the one and only pet in your home. His only real nemesis are delivery trucks. Yup, he’s been informed they bring treats, but he’s still suspicious of their sneaky ways. We respect his skepticism.Sweet and handsome Frankie has been waiting for his forever for way too long. So, if you’re ready for a walking buddy with charm, character, and strong opinions about mail carriers? Frankie’s your guy! Like he mentioned earlier, you won’t regret it.

Story
Hi, my name is Gigi. I was living the dream — snuggled up in the comforts of a warm cozy home, but sometimes life takes an unexpected turn. My family could no longer care for me, so now I’m back at the shelter waiting for my next chance at happiness. I still have so much love to give, and I haven’t given up on my dream, not by a long shot!Meet Gigi — Life of the Paw-ty! If confetti were a dog, it would be Gigi. This girl is sweet, energetic, and bursting with personality. Just under 4 years old, this beautiful brindle Catahoula Leopard mix is the perfect balance of playful energy and soulful affection. Gigi’s got a zest for life that’s truly contagious — whether she’s chasing balls in the yard, trotting alongside you on a walk, or simply sharing her goofy charm with everyone she meets. Gigi does well with most dogs and enjoys engaging in spirited rough-and-tumble play with her fellow canine friends. (don’t let her smaller size fool you!) And when eating and drinking — Gigi prefers a solo dining experience.Heads up! Prolonged exposure to Gigi may cause uncontrollable laughter and spontaneous playtime. And because she does really well with children and most dogs, expect to take her everywhere. She will quickly become part of every family outing and backyard gathering. She’s already stolen our hearts, and we know she’ll steal yours too. Come meet Gigi…you won’t leave without her!

BONITA Good With Dogs: Yes Good With Cats: Unknown Good With Kids: Yes Kennel Trained: yes DOB: 7/09/25 Spayed: No Current Weight; Fully Grown – Medium sized Bonita/Nita/Bon Bon – The Queen of Hush Puppies Bonita is everything little girls are made of—sugar, spice, and a whole lot of sass. This delightfully charming tri-colored Shepherd mix doesn’t just think she’s royalty… she knows it. And honestly? So do her foster siblings—because Bonita rules the yard like it’s her kingdom. Full of energy, attitude, and puppy charm, Bonita is the kind of pup who walks into a room and owns it. One look from her big brown eyes and—poof!—you’re wrapped around her little paw. Resistance is futile. She’s cute, she knows it, and she’s not afraid to use it. When she finally slows down (rare, but magical), Bonita loves a good cuddle session and some well-earned belly scratches. She also has a surprising fondness for bearded gentlemen... don't ask, it's just her thing.  Outdoors? That’s her playground. Bonita lives for zoomies, jungle-style adventures through tall grass, leaping over weeds, diving into random holes, and—most importantly—winning stick wars like it’s an Olympic sport. She’s bold, fearless, and unstoppable. Did we mention she’s scary smart? This clever girl mastered the doggie door in two days flat—something her brothers haven’t even attempted. She’s basically a ninja puppy, sneaking in and out of places without a sound. One minute she’s there, the next… she's off chasing butterflies or plotting world domination (or at least sock theft). Bonita is playful, curious, and full of personality. She loves people and other dogs, but she's also respectful of boundaries and quick to pick up on social cues. Bonita is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and ready to bring some serious joy, laughter, and adventure into the life of her lucky forever family.  Ready to welcome this bold, beautiful and brilliant firecracker you’re your life? Apply to meet Bonita at emotionalrescuedogs.org. You will not be able to resist her. Your royal highness awaits. ##2535539##
