Story
Goose came to us about a year and a half ago. It was originally supposed to be about a month or 2 for us to watch him so that my friend and her boyfriend could move in to their new home. Long story short they ended up breaking up and not moving and neither one of them could get goose back due to their living arrangements. I've recently moved and my landlord won't accept me having Goose because of his breed. Goose is super sweet, very good around kids. I have 6 children aging from 2 months to 18 and they love him. We have grown to love him and definitely sadden to see him go. I'm all out of options and can't afford to move anywhere right now. I'm looking For someone who has experiences with pit bulls and or larger dogs. Goose is house trained and crate trained. He loves to play with toys and loves his xxxx@xxxx.x overly hyper and gets along with other dogs that he knows. Looking for someone who has either some land or a backyard where he can get his exercise. Goose is great!

Size? Small Activity Level? Medium Noise Level? Medium Good with Dogs? Yes Good with Cats? Yes Good with Kids? Yes Good with Strangers? I take some time to adjust to new people. Potty Trained? Yes! Crate Trained? Yes Shedding? Minimal Hi, my name is Jalapeno. I am a 3 year old Pug/Chihuahua mix who loves to snuggle! I get the "zoomies" at times and love to chase my ball around the house, but most of my time is spent cuddling whoever is around. I have done well with other dogs, and I am usually good with cats but I like to chase them if they run away from me. My first foster had children and I seemed to do well with them, but I can be nervous around strangers when first introduced. I have a big bark but once you get on my level, I realize you are a nice human :) I can get startled easily at first, but after a few days I have relaxed and rarely bark when someone comes in. I do bark a bit at strangers outside (especially if you are tall), or whine if I am in my kennel too long. I do not like my neck being touched very much, so putting on a leash can make me a bit fearful. Once it is on I have no issues! My ideal home would be somewhere with lots of people to snuggle and play with! I am a loving dog who will help with all of your chores and find a nice spot to curl up with you on the couch. I can't wait to meet you! Jalapeno is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for his age. Snapshot of Tinsel: Size? ~25 lbs, I could gain a few more! Activity Level? Low-Moderate Noise Level? Moderate Good with Dogs? Yes, I love dogs! Good with Cats? Unknown Good with Kids? Yes Good with Strangers? I’m very shy and timid at first. Potty Trained? Yes! Crate Trained? I’m working on it! Shedding? Minimal. I do great in the bath! About Tinsel: Hi! My name is Tinsel, I am a pretty princess, and my foster family calls me Zora, which means: “dawn, a symbol of new beginnings, optimism and the start of a new day”. I am a 2-year-old, mixed breed female looking for the perfectly patient home for me. My fosters have a few guesses on my breed, I’ve been told I look like a Sheeba Inu, but my tail is straight (not curly) or a micro-mini-Staffordshire Terrier (I have cute little marshmallow cheeks) but it’s really anyone’s guess. I was tied to a pole in December with another dog here in Minnesota. As a result of being left in the snow in winter, my ears and heels were frostbitten but they’re still cute big ole bat ears and I’m all better now and the doctors I saw say I’m healthy and have healed up well. I am now eagerly and willingly learning how to be a dog in a loving home and how to trust humans. My current energy level is pretty chill, low to moderate, depending on who I am with. When my foster family first picked me up, I didn't know what to think. I tended to scurry away if anyone tried to pet me. That first day, my foster mom sat on the floor talking gently and calmly to me for about an hour. That helped me decide that she was probably safe, and I let her give me some pets! I now follow her around wherever she goes, and my foster family lets me cuddle on the sofa with them while watching TV! I’m learning to trust men and usually cautiously watch foster dad, but when I see how nice he is to my foster dog brother, I climb up to sit with my paw on him so I can snuggle and lay on the couch too. I am sometimes spooked by loud noises or fast movements; I go to a safe space to observe until I feel safe and secure again. My family talks me through things like “the mixer will turn on now (turns on)” and “that’s the mixer, it’s okay”, so their reassuring voices help me stay calm and sometimes I am not even scared with that kind of guidance and support. Since I am still learning a routine and how to dog, sometimes it’s easier to keep my leash on even when I’m in the house. I like to spend some time outside sniffing the yard perimeter. I have learned to potty and poop on command with foster mom while on the leash in the yard and am also left outside in the fenced yard to do business on my own. I tend to do business in the same area of the yard. My foster dog brother and I like to do zoomies & play too. I watch how my foster dog brother plays with toys and have tried playing and chewing on a few toys like a Kong, Kong rubbery Bone (yum, they even put peanut butter and treats in these for me!) and a rubbery toy Pickle. I am still unsure of stuffies and squeaky toys. My favorite thing though is to get pets from my humans. I've even been known to give them a kiss or two and licks to say thanks! I am learning that the world is not out to get me and this new life with guaranteed breakfasts, dinners, treats, pets and kindness is going to be something that I really enjoy! My foster family believes in me, 100%! I’m told that I am ready to be molded into the perfect dog and I will be the sweetest dog for someone. A home with people committed to helping me learn how to be a happy house dog, continuing with learning my basic obedience (come, sit, no, off, eat your food, go outside, potty schedules, kennel training and building up my trust by using calm voices to help me develop my personality would be best. They call me sweet as candy and tell me that I am a princess. My foster family believes I would do well in a home with another calm dog to help me learn the ropes of this new life, but a home with another dog is not a requirement. Will you be the right fit for me? Let’s meet! Love and Kisses, Tinsel. Tinsel is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for her age. Snapshot of Yoyo Size: Small Activity Level: High Noise Level: Alert - I love to let you know when something is happening! Good with Dogs: Yes! Good with Cats: Unknown Good with Kids: Unknown Good with Strangers: Working on it Potty Trained: Yes! Crate Trained: I don't really like my crate. Shedding: Minimal About Yoyo Hello everyone, I'm excited to introduce you to Yoyo, a young, medium-sized chihuahua mix. This charming little fellow is incredibly loyal, devoted, and active, with a strong personality that makes him confident and independent. Yoyo is a true socialite who gets along well with other small dogs but has not been exposed to larger dogs yet. However, he is not advisable with cats. He is house-trained and responds well to basic commands, making him easily trainable. Regular exercise is essential for keeping Yoyo happy and healthy, as he is full of energy and loves to stay active. One of Yoyo's unique traits is his dislike for being crated. He has had free range of his foster's home and hasn't caused any damage. He enjoys having access to windows to keep an eye on the world outside, guarding you from the dangers of walking dogs and people passing by. Although he can be quite vocal, he listens attentively and will follow you everywhere. Yoyo prefers your love and attention over treats any day and has learned to share with other dogs in the house. Yoyo is a cuddler at heart and loves snuggling up with his foster family and other dogs for movie nights. His leash walking skills are improving, though he is still working on building confidence, as he can get a little scared of moving cars and loud noises. When overwhelmed, he'll let you know he'd rather be held. Yoyo enjoys playing fetch and tug, zooming around the yard, and chatting with the neighbors. This handsome little guy has mastered basic commands like sit, leave it, and drop it, but still needs some work on stay and down. We've been working on preventing "doordashing," and Yoyo is eager to please with positive reinforcement and consistent gentle redirection. He absolutely adores snuggling and kisses and would love to continue learning new skills and tricks with his future family. If you're looking for a loving and energetic companion, Yoyo might just be the perfect match for you! Yoyo is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for their age. Story
Snapshot of Gordy: Size? Medium-Large (48 lbs) Activity Level? High -he is a border collie mix, after all! ;) Noise Level? Low Good with Dogs? Yes Good with Cats? Yes Good with Kids? Likely, but no children in foster home. Good with Strangers? Yes Potty Trained? Yes, with appropriate supervision and a schedule. Crate Trained? Yes Shedding? Medium About Gordy: Hi, my name is Gordy! I also respond to Gordo, Gordito, Sir Gordon, and Cheesy Gordita Crunch. I am an adorable border collie/lab mix who wants nothing more than a home to call my own--and, preferably, a ball to call my own as well. I LOVE to chase balls, and if no balls are around, I'll make do with chasing anything you throw for me--stuffies, sticks, ropes... the options are endless. My foster mom says that I'm amazingly well adjusted given my relatively rough history. I was 1 of 16 (!!) dogs rescued from a local home, and I haven't had the best care before now. For example, you might notice that I have a bit of a limp due to a wonky front foot. The vet says that this is likely caused by a ruptured tendon that didn't heal right. Fortunately, it doesn't slow me down at all! I also recently had 8 front teeth removed, including 3 of my canines, which were all fractured, likely from biting at the bars of a crate. Still, nothing can bring down my happy-go-lucky personality (except, of course, when my foster mom puts away my ball for the night). Something else you should know about me is that I tested positive for two tick-borne diseases, Anaplasmosis and Lyme. I received treatment and I don’t have any signs of chronic Lyme infection - which is AMAZING news! I will likely continue to test positive for both of these for the rest of my life due to chronic antibodies. It is possible that I could develop side effects from Lyme later in my life but for now I’m a happy and healthy boy! Here's a bit more from my foster mom: An ideal home for Gordy would be one that can give him lots of mental and physical stimulation. He really enjoys chewing on bones and bully sticks, playing tug with toys, and playing fetch. He's also a smart boy and has picked up on sit, lay down, and crate up very quickly. We're working on some new commands for him to show off! I think he'd do great with someone who enjoys having a dog that can be a companion to them on a variety of adventures! Gordy is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for his age.
