Story
Hazzard is a two year old shepherd and staffy mix, one of the sweetest and most entertaining pups I’ve ever fostered. Potty trained, dog and cat friendly, a little rambunctious for toddlers but he would be a great first dog for anyone really. Barely barks and people friendly, and we are still working on not pulling on the leash. Hazzard would come with food and new kennel. Backstory: Hazzard was part of a litter that was raised in an unfinished basement. There were four brothers and he was easily the friendliest while being cautiously protective of his littermates. The mom had been kept in the garage during pregnancy, and we were told by vets that she must have been exposed to some chemicals because some of the pups were showing slight developmental defects. Hazzards teeth were slightly affected, some of the enamel is gone, and we have to avoid him chewing on hard bones. But otherwise he has no lasting issues from his rough start.

Story
Suze (SUE-ZEE) was adopted in Indiana in 2019. She is around 9 years old but has the energy of a 5 year old. She is extremely sweet with everyone she meets. She has lived with cats for the past 7 years and does very well with them. She does not do well with other dogs but has in the past so there's potential that with the right training, she could get along with dogs. Suze is happiest when she can snooze on the couch or in a comfy bed but she also loves being active and would do well with someone who can take her on regular walks. She is crate trained and does well in a crate when left alone. We have loved having Suze as part of our family these past 7 years but due to unfortunate situations, we can no longer give her the care and attention she deserves. She is getting older but has a lot of life left to live and we would love to see her get to spend her remaining years with someone who can care for her properly. She is very loyal and loving and will make a great companion.

Story
Eddie is a 1-year-old Black Lab who is sweet, strong, and incredibly loyal! Weighing in at around 55 pounds, he’ll stick by your side like it’s his full-time job. This young pup is house-trained and crate-trained. He does well in his crate for extended periods, settling in after a few minutes. Eddie loves standing on his hind legs to watch the world through the window or gently grabbing your hand with his paw just to keep you close. He loves chew toys, tug-of-war, and most of all, your attention. He usually has at least two walks a day and some active play like tug-of-war or zoomies around the yard. His leash manners are still a work in progress, so his future family should give some extra training to help guide him.He would prefer a home where someone is around often. Loud noises and unfamiliar people can spook him, but with patience and routine, he’s learning to feel more confident. Eddie is not able to live in a home with other dogs because he becomes very overstimulated when he sees them. He hasn’t lived with cats or children.Eddie is looking for a home to grow up in and give love in return! Story
Meet Bella (9) and Lou (8), two spotted sweethearts who love adventure! This charming Dalmatian pair has spent their whole lives together and are looking for a forever family ready to welcome both of them—because where you find one, the other is never far behind.Lou is the fun-loving, high-energy half of the duo. At 64 lbs, he’s happiest running beside an electric scooter, chasing a ball, or showing off his signature Dalmatian enthusiasm. Lou’s also a talker—you’ll never have to wonder what’s on his mind, because he’ll tell you!Bella, on the other hand, is the confident queen and oh-so sassy! At 76 lbs, she knows what she wants, and she’s not afraid to “discuss” it with you. Though she still enjoys playtime and walks, she’s more about the cozy life these days—lounging close to her people and getting plenty of love. She’s also managing a history of kidney stones, so she drinks lots of water and needs frequent potty breaks (and quick access to her throne—er, backyard).Bella and Lou adjusted well to their foster home with a family who was patient and gentle with them. They are house-trained and crate-trained, but can be trusted to free-roam at home. They will need a home without shared walls (no apartments/townhomes) due to their noise level. These Dalmatians need exercise—and A LOT of it! They love to run and play catch as long as you'll let them. They will require a fenced yard in their future home to meet their energy level. A fence taller than 4-ft is recommended due to safety concerns. They do well with other dogs and young kids but will need proper introductions when making friends. Lou tends to be protective of his bestie and they should also be supervised due to their larger size. Bella and Lou cannot live with cats.Together, these two are pure joy. Lou brings the energy; Bella brings the sass—and both bring endless love. If you’re ready to double the spots and double the love, Bella and Lou are ready to meet you.If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450.
