Story
Hazzard is a two year old shepherd and staffy mix, one of the sweetest and most entertaining pups I’ve ever fostered. Potty trained, dog and cat friendly, a little rambunctious for toddlers but he would be a great first dog for anyone really. Barely barks and people friendly, and we are still working on not pulling on the leash. Hazzard would come with food and new kennel. Backstory: Hazzard was part of a litter that was raised in an unfinished basement. There were four brothers and he was easily the friendliest while being cautiously protective of his littermates. The mom had been kept in the garage during pregnancy, and we were told by vets that she must have been exposed to some chemicals because some of the pups were showing slight developmental defects. Hazzards teeth were slightly affected, some of the enamel is gone, and we have to avoid him chewing on hard bones. But otherwise he has no lasting issues from his rough start.

Story
Suze (SUE-ZEE) was adopted in Indiana in 2019. She is around 9 years old with the energy of a 1 year old. She loves walks but is also a couch potato. She could use some recall training but listens well inside the home. She does well in her crate when left alone but prefers the couch when given the choice. She has destroyed every dog bed she's owned (and there have been many) and she's never met a toy that she couldn't tear into pieces (yes, even the ones specifically designed for bully breeds). Suze is great with kids and just adores every human she meets. She wants all of the attention all the time. She has lived with cats for the past 7 years and does great with them. She does not do well with other dogs now but has in the past so that could change with some training. Overall, Suze is has a very sweet and loving temperament and is happiest when she can cuddle and eat and sleep. She will make a great companion for someone who can give her the time and attention she deserves.

Story
Eddie is a 1-year-old Black Lab who is sweet, strong, and incredibly loyal! Weighing in at around 55 pounds, he’ll stick by your side like it’s his full-time job. This young pup is house-trained and crate-trained. He does well in his crate for extended periods, settling in after a few minutes. Eddie loves standing on his hind legs to watch the world through the window or gently grabbing your hand with his paw just to keep you close. He loves chew toys, tug-of-war, and most of all, your attention. He usually has at least two walks a day and some active play like tug-of-war or zoomies around the yard. His leash manners are still a work in progress, so his future family should give some extra training to help guide him.He would prefer a home where someone is around often. Loud noises and unfamiliar people can spook him, but with patience and routine, he’s learning to feel more confident. Eddie is not able to live in a home with other dogs because he becomes very overstimulated when he sees them. He hasn’t lived with cats or children.Eddie is looking for a home to grow up in and give love in return! Story
Max is a stunning two-year-old shepherd mix and the definition of a loyal buddy. At around 60 pounds, he may seem a little cautious or reserved at first, but give him some time and he’ll show you his true self—a true family member who loves being involved in your life, bringing energy, snuggles, and deep, soulful stares.Max is house-trained and makes for a great roommate. He's welcome to free-roam in most of the house including when he's home alone, respectful of gated areas. He goes in and out of his large, open kennel throughout the day, occasionally closed in. Otherwise, he's watching passersby, or on the lookout for bunnies and squirrels! He's happy to let you know when it's time to play—he'll start weaving in and out of your legs before going for a walk. He LOVES playing fetch in the fenced yard, though a fence may not be required with proper training. Indoors, he likes chew toys, stuffies, and snuggling on the bed.Max has lived with another dog before and loves to play! He settles in very easily when meeting other dogs, and would likely do well with another dog in the home given a proper introduction. He has not been tested with cats. With the right structure and some extra love, Max will thrive in his forever home. This handsome boy is ready to join the family! Here is a video to learn more: https://www.flexclip.com/share/3552797CvG1geascrHzFxBexFQ9dzcnP6sQM9V3.htmlIf you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450.
