Story
Tato is almost 2 years old. She was adopted from the Humane Society in January 2024, previously she was rescued from the southern states. She is a shepherd mix and is about 45 lbs. She is playful but gentle, she loves fetch, tug of war, and taking walks. She is affectionate and loves to give kisses. She is very sweet and just loves being around her people. She responds to Come and Sit commands. All equipment, food, and medication will be included. She has mild anxiety that is resolved by taking daily medication (fluoxetine). She will do best in a home without small children or cats but could be homed with another dog with proper introduction. She unfortunately has heartworm disease which we are currently treating. During treatment (about 3 months) she will need to be on crate rest to prevent any complications to her heart. She is otherwise healthy and we are hopeful she will be good as new after. We are hoping for someone to give this baby all the love she deserves.

Story
Hello I’ve had Blackie for 9years. I want to give him to rehome him because I now have small children and I can’t give him the attention he needs. He is very energetic. Enjoys playing and taking walks. He is protective and high strung. He is also very loving. I’ve never had another pet so I’m not sure if he does well with other pets. I would like to keep the adoption open if possible. I just want him to go to a loving home.

Story
We adopted Rocky at 3 months old from a rescue. We know both of his parents were heelers, and that he came from a farm rescue with his litter of siblings. He is now 15 mths old. We have done lots of training with him and have another older heeler we also rescued and trained. He is extremely loving and gentle with us and friends, family he knows well. He is extremely smart with a high work drive. However, Rocky has recently developed fear-based reactivity and aggression towards unknown dogs and people. We live on a high foot traffic corner in the suburbs and have an 11 yr old that has friends coming and going frequently, which has become almost impossible to manage with Rocky, and is now a significant safety concern. We feel we no longer have the resources, time, or space to give Rocky what he needs to succeed. We feel he would do very well on some land with less stimulus and with an owner that could give him the time/attention he needs and deserves. He is good with kids, dogs he knows

Story
SE Thor's Hammer, R71B, L75002Hi. I’m Thor. I’m not quite the god of thunder that I’m named after, in fact I’m a sweet and submissive boy. I love walks and think they're awesome! I might secretly love people too, but I'm a little shy at first but curious. I like to come to people when I'm ready and enjoy getting pets. I love having my own space in the house, and as long as I have a refuge and squeaky stuffy toys, I tolerate a lot of activity going on in the house. I get along with dogs the best, calm children are my next favorite, then adults. Anyone noisy or fast, I'll most likely choose to go up to last. I would rather not be kenneled and be an only dog. I really look to other dogs for reassurance and do fine as long as I have a dog buddy to hang with. I also really don't like stairs and so far, no amount of bribery and FOMO has tempted me enough to give them a go. My foster mom will continue to encourage me to give them a try. My new foster mom also says that I have opened up so much in just the two weeks that she's been with me and that it will be amazing to see how much braver I will get once I'm with my forever family. Could you be that forever family?  To see other hounds currently in our care please visit the Hounds in Our Care page on our website. Story
Meet Marti! Marti is a 5 year old, neutered, double merle, male, who came to us almost completely feral. He is a slightly pudgy 40 pounds, crate trained, house broke (but still leaks a little urine when sleeping although we haven't tried medication for that yet as it has been improving). As he is double merle he has some vision issues as well. Marti will need a very special owner that is willing to give him plenty of time to learn to trust. At his foster home Marti gets along with other dogs, is great with cats, and walks off leash in a rural setting. Marti is that lower energy aussie everyone's looking for and would like a quiet home. Marti will need more training in cooperative Care which his foster is working on and is easy to implement. The details: Needs Fence: Depends on setting (needs to gain trust to be leashed, fence necessary in busier area) Good With Dogs: Yes Good With People: Needs patience Good with cats: Yes All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com. All dogs have an adoption fee of $300 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family. Aussie Rescue of MN is here for support, advice and as a safety net for our dogs for the rest of their lives.

Story
Hi my name is Annie, I was found wandering around out in the country. My current fosters have no knowledge of my previous living conditions. As far as my personality goes, I tend to be very high strung and anxious especially when my foster's teenage children are present. Their presence has complicated my potty training with my anxiety. Although I do sleep in my kennel all night long and only make noise if I have to go to the bathroom. During the day I hang out in my playpen if I get stressed. I will often go to my safe spaces if stressed out. I do live with 2 foster dogs, a 50lbs husky mix and a 20lbs terrier mix and I love to play with both. My fosters have been attempting to work on my training, however I am not motivated. I love going for walks and wrestling with my foster siblings. I am going to need a special home, most likely with our children, but would love some doggy brothers or sisters. My special somebody will need to be very patient with my training because even though I am almost 2, I am still learning to dog. The details: Needs fence: yes Good with kids: no Good with dogs: yes Good with cats: no exposure All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com.
