Story
Ark RB TJ Watt, R 12G, L 75152Hi my name is TJ Watt, but I am best known as just TJ. I can’t believe I have not yet found my forever home. Maybe it could be with you? I am very gentle, sweet, affectionate, and playful. I am turning 2 years old on 1/29/24, so I still have a little bit more zest than an older hound. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE napping, but I also love a zoom in the yard, a nice long quiet walk, and playing with stuffies. I am friendly and gentle with my 13 lb. foster sister, and to kitties that don’t run around too much. I also have 2 other big dog foster siblings, who are my friends. I would love to have a confident sibling in my new home to cozy up to and play with. Once I adjusted to my foster home, I began to really love my humans too. I follow mom around the house, love belly rubs while I am roaching, and would be elated if you let me sleep in the human bed with you at night. I promise to keep you nice and warm if you let me! I understand you might need to leave the house for a few hours at a time, so I don’t worry too much when you are gone. I don’t need to be kenneled, since I prefer to nap or play with toys (just make sure you keep the counters clean and hide the remote). I have gained a lot of confidence outside the house over the last few months with encouragement from my parents, but still keep my eye on strange people and dogs on walks. Therefore, I would prefer to live in the suburbs, versus a busy downtown. If you can be a little patient with me while I adjust to a new place, I promise to come out of my shell and love you more than anyone else! I did recently meet some kids and enjoyed getting pets but still a little nervous of the younger ones. I should also mention that I am a good eater and always clean my bowl. My parents feed me hydrolyzed food because I have some food allergies, but I gobble it up so I can stay big and strong. Do you think that you have room for me in your house? I would love to meet you. – TJ Watt To see other hounds currently in our care please visit the Hounds in Our Care page on our website. Story
SE Thor's Hammer, R71B, L75002Hi. I’m Thor. I’m not quite the god of thunder that I’m named after, in fact I’m a sweet and submissive boy. I’m looking for a home that is pretty quiet with a routine that is consistent and predictable so I can feel comfortable. I’ve got some worries I’m working through. Don’t we all? So, I’ll need my people to be patient with me. I don’t like to admit it but I get scared of new people and it takes me time to warm up but I'm getting braver everyday. I really like being around the people I have gotten to know and I would do best in a house where my people are home a lot. My foster mom is helping me get use to being home by myself for short periods of time. I like other dogs and I would do best if you had another dog. It would really help me to gain confidence. If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive boy I could be that boy. Story
Meet Marti! Marti is a 5 year old, neutered, double merle, male, who came to us almost completely feral. He is a slightly pudgy 40 pounds, crate trained, house broke (but still leaks a little urine when sleeping although we haven't tried medication for that yet as it has been improving). As he is double merle he has some vision issues as well. Marti will need a very special owner that is willing to give him plenty of time to learn to trust. At his foster home Marti gets along with other dogs, is great with cats, and walks off leash in a rural setting. Marti is that lower energy aussie everyone's looking for and would like a quiet home. Marti will need more training in cooperative Care which his foster is working on and is easy to implement. The details: Needs Fence: Depends on setting (needs to gain trust to be leashed, fence necessary in busier area) Good With Dogs: Yes Good With People: Needs patience Good with cats: Yes All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com. All dogs have an adoption fee of $300 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family. Aussie Rescue of MN is here for support, advice and as a safety net for our dogs for the rest of their lives.

Story
Charli Louise NJARW Hi! I'm Charli! I've got lots of energy and love to play! After a good play session I'd love to cuddle up and take a nice long nap though. I'm very loving and my foster family says I'm a real sweetheart! I do have to admit that I had a high prey drive though so those cute little fuzzy animals, even small dogs, really get my lizard brain going and I want to hunt! I'm looking for a home where I'm the most energetic body in the house, I've found kids to be too unpredictable and they scare me. If you had other big dogs that would be cool, but if I were the only hound there to soak up your attention I wouldn't mind that either. If you're looking for a spunky gal with lots of character I'd love to meet you! - xo, Charli To see other hounds currently in our care please visit the Hounds in Our Care page on our website. Story
L QJBWEHi, I'm Jade! I love meeting new people--neighbors, strangers on walks, and other greyhounds. I love a belly scratch and full body massage. My favorite animals are other greyhounds. I am an active girl and I enjoy long walks with my foster family. I would thrive in a home where I can be taken out for walks throughout the day with a family who can spend a lot of time at home with me. I have a high prey drive so I do best walking with a body harness because I like to pull on the leash trying to chase squirrels and rabbits. I'm not sure about small dogs since I do have a strong prey drive and I get a little anxious and territorial around other medium sized high energy dogs, but I might be okay with them with a slow introduction. And since I like to be boss, I would do best as an only dog or in a home with a medium or bigger dog that is submissive. I'm not a huge fan of my kennel but I do sleep in mine at night but I'd rather not be kenneled during the entire work day. My foster mom says I'm a sweetheart, friendly, social, cuddly, and well behaved and I'm an incredibly easy and loving dog. I can't wait to find my forever home! Story
[Tats & Racing Name]Hi! My name is Bomber. I love meeting people, dogs, and I really love playing with people. Even more than toys. My foster mom says I have A bit of a dopey personality. What can I say? I'm a very sweet happy goofy guy. I get along with pretty much everyone. One thing though, I would rather not be alone. I really don't like it because I like to be around my people and I cry without them but my foster peoples are working with me on alone training. My foster mom says if you look up Velcro in the dictionary, you'd see my picture. I really don’t like being kenneled but I'm not destructive. I do okay with another hound though. So, I would probably do best in a home with another dog or people that can help me with alone training or are home a lot. .  Looking forward to finding my forever home!  To see other hounds currently in our care please visit the Hounds in Our Care page on our website.
