Story
Meet York! This little boy is just over 9 months old and a lab mix. York is a fun loving puppy who would do best in a home who is ready for an active adventurous puppy. He needs a family ready to be the leader and continue to train him good behavior. He loves to run around the back yard and play with toys. He gets along well with other dogs including the resident dog. He is very treat motivated and eager to learn. In his current foster home, he learned to use the doggy door the 1st day and hasn’t had any issues with potty training and hasn’t any accidents in the house. The first day at his current foster home he was a little skittish of new things but he adjusted quickly and he is up to usual puppy antics. He is very curious and will explore his surroundings to see what he can play with. He has a current obsession with sock and has sniffed all the lost missing sock in his current foster home. York loves to play with toys but does need to be monitored with them because he likes to tear of little pieces off and tries to eat them. His current foster is working on drop and leave it which he is catching on to. York is very interested in people food and we have been working on proper manners. He does jump up and counter surf. In his current foster home he has been trained to sit in his “spot” in the kitchen which has helped to deter this behavior. We are also working on wait and a release word for his meals. He is catching on quickly that jumping and being on the counter is not allowed. York is recently going through a phase where he's got some stranger danger. He'll be successful in a home that has the time and patience for him to come out of his shell. He does GREAT once he knows somebody, but it will take some time. When he gets scared his reaction is to turn the other direction. York has some amazing jumping skills and can easily clear a regular height baby gate so he would need a house with a 6ft fence or would need to be taking on leash or be on a tie out. He was happily sleeping in a crate at night, but he grew out of it. He now sleeps on his bed on the floor but will happily sleep in your bed if you let him. York is an active treat motivated puppy who is looking for someone to explore and learn new tricks with. Story
Pippa is a sweet little gal! She is an approx. 2 year old female lab mix. She is still finding herself and learning that people, doors, and gates are not scary! She is shy and might take a little while to warm up, but once she does, she is comfortable she is friendly, energetic and spunky! Generally she does warm up to people pretty quickly with the help of some treats. Once she's comfortable, she is quite the playful gal. She is more comfortable with new dogs than with new people, and would love to have another dog in the home! Story
Meet Moose! Moose is a part of Sadie's puppies, and is such a sweet girl! She is the smaller of the two girls, but looking for love, affection and cuddles. Crate training and potty training are in progress. They can currently go overnight and at least 3 hours during the day between potty breaks. They are still learning more and more every day! Recently they've discovered tug toys and they think those are AWESOME! These little babies will make a great companion, they have not had experience around children or cats, but we think they could be successful in virtually any home!
