Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Well hello new friend, it is nice to meet you! My name is Fallon and I am a special boy looking for a special home! You see when I was a puppy, something went a little wrong in my body and I have been urinary incontinent since. We tried shots and medication but nothing worked. The vet said there could be a surgery available but the odds of it working weren't good and it was risky. So now I still go outside to go to the bathroom, but I "drip" when I am in the house. It is not my fault as I am a really good boy! I wear a male wrap with a pad on and I am SO good at wearing it! When we come back in the house from being outside, I know to wait for my wrap to be put on and then go play. My foster parents just say "Fallon you are naked" and I come right to them for my band. My pad just gets changed when it has urine in it, which isn't all the time, and my wrap needs to be washed every so often to stay clean.   If that didn't scare you away, look at how handsome I am! I do so great in the car, I love the resident dogs and all the other foster dogs that come and go. I have no food or treat aggression as there is enough to go around. I love to snuggle with the other dogs and when my foster mom sits on the couch, I will jump right in her lap to snuggle and watch TV. I enjoy playing outside and I run all over the backyard like the silly and goofy boy I am! I am kennel trained and don't mind my kennel at all! I love to play with toys and chew on antlers. I am a healthy boy who is up to date with all my vaccines, I take my heartworm prevention, and I get my flea/tick meds monthly. I do love my foster mom and dad, but it would be great to have my own forever home with another dog to play with! Could that be with you? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Zeus is a young, approximately 4 year-old, 55-lb American Staffordshire Terrier mix who has a beautiful, brown brindle coat with a white chest and paws. Zeus has a confident, submissive temperament with a medium-to-low energy level. He’s a great combination of smart, loyal, and eager to please.   Zeus found his way to Minnesota by way of Chattanooga, Tennessee when he was a little over a year-old. He was adopted from the Humane Society in May of 2022 and spent some time living on the UofM campus (where he clearly learned to cuddle), before he was ultimately surrendered to Wags for foster care.   He’s completely house-trained and even alerts his people when its to go out. He’s great with kids, people and other dogs. He loves his chew toys and knows they’re the only things he can chew or destroy. He’s a quick learner.   Zeus is not kennel trained but there’s probably no need for it at this point. When left alone at home he just naps.   While learning to be alone for the first few weeks his biggest infraction was barking, never destruction. The barks got shorter every day until the day when he noticed he was going to be left alone, jumped on the couch, curled up and never made another noise. Again, he’s a quick learner.   Zeus would do best in a home without cats. His limited exposure and prey drive might be difficult to manage.   When walking on-leash he ‘heels’ but doesn't react to other dogs so long as his leader is leading. He will not pull or lead if not allowed to.   Zeus is a GREAT dog. He’s young and somebody is going to enjoy a great life with him.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Barbie is a 1.5-year-old mini-Aussie mix with a big personality wrapped in a medium-sized body. Her absolute favorite thing in the world is you—your love, your attention, your lap, and of course your belly rubs. She’s known for her “barrel rolls,” flopping over for scritches any chance she gets. Barbie may start out a little timid when meeting new people, but give her a few minutes and you’ll have a new best friend by your side. She’s a spunky, active girl who loves fetch, tug, zooming around the yard with furry friends, and exploring on walks. She’s fast and has a tall vertical jump so she may be a good fit for agility or other activities that challenge her mind and body.  She would be a good fit for a fenced-in backyard, a lead line, or with someone committed to helping her play out all her Aussie energy. Barbie is also a smart cookie. She’s potty trained, sleeps through the night in her kennel, and already knows sit and shake/paw. She comes when called and is working on new tricks.  She would love a person or family to help her keep using her mind to learn new things (and she thinks the treats are fun too). Barbie would thrive with a person or family who enjoys time outdoors, playtime, and of course, couch time cuddle breaks. She even likes the snow! She would do well with a tolerant or playful dog friend, though her energy may be a bit much for more mellow pups. She's still learning boundaries when other dogs are done playing but she wants to play more. She has lived with young children but may do best with kids who can respect her need for slow introductions, play safely, and understand her Aussie smarts.  Speaking of smarts, her nose knows where the treats are - both dog and human - so she's still learning not to be a food thief.  She hasn't gotten into anything but we’ve caught her curiously jumping up on her hind legs to see what’s on the counter/table.  As you can see from her pictures, she’s got longer, super soft hair (you’ll have to trust us on the softness for now) but keep in mind if you adopt her, she'll need someone to maintain her hair with regular brushing and grooming.  Good news is, she loves getting brushed - its relaxing like the spa!  If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with puppy-dog eyes and a heart full of love, Barbie is ready to be your girl. She can’t wait to find her forever home!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. McFlurry: The Fluff, The Myth, The Legend Oh hey there. Did someone say “adorable panda bear”? Oh wait—it’s just me, McFlurry, stealing hearts and snacks since... well, basically always. I know, I know—you’re wondering how a literal panda escaped the zoo, learned how to smize like Tyra Banks, and ended up in your adoption feed. Spoiler alert: I’m actually a dog. I KNOW. Try to stay calm. So here’s the scoop. My foster mom decided I needed a little pizzazz—as if my fluffy, doughy physique wasn’t enough—and voilà: pet-safe dye magic. Now I’m rocking the black-and-white look and confusing wildlife experts and toddlers alike. Add some squishy rolls and boopable snoot, and I’m basically a celebrity in disguise. Let’s Talk Name: McFlurry Yes, like the ice cream. Sweet? Duh. A bit thick? Mind your business. Fluffy? I exceed industry standards. I’m on a fitness journey—slow and steady wins the race, right? Sure, I’ve indulged in one too many cookies (or...everything ever), but I’m embracing my glow-up era. And before you ask—yes, those bright blue eyes are real. No, you may not borrow them. They’re my weapon of choice for manipulating humans into giving me treats, belly rubs, or full control of the remote. Personality Breakdown: Vibes: Marshmallow with mild sass. Energy level: Part-time potato, full-time vibe curator. Hobbies: Being carried like royalty, judging you from the couch, avoiding downward stairs like they owe me money. Social skills: I vibe well with other pups, but let’s be honest—I’m the main character. Attitude: Unbothered. Unapologetic. Unleashed. Potty Confessions: The Dirty Truth Let’s just rip off the bandage: I’m stubborn. I pee on my schedule, not yours. Potty training? We’re in negotiations. Belly bands? I wear them like a statement piece. Now, about my tummy: it’s... fragile. Like, emotionally and physically. So yes—I poop. A lot. Stress? Poop. Excitement? Poop. Slight breeze in the air? Poop. It’s called consistency, people. But wait—there’s more. Let’s talk dingleberries. Yes, those awkward, horrifying, and clingy little nuggets of shame. Thanks to my plush backside and luxurious fluff, the ol’ #2 sometimes lingers in... unfortunate ways. You’ll need to do some rear-end maintenance. Trust me, neither of us is thrilled about it—but love means picking up the pieces. Literally. Consider it a bonding experience. The Royal Treatment, Please I came from a breeder situation, so this whole “house pet” gig is new. Couches? Magical. Kind humans? Suspiciously nice. Dental work? Done—I’ve got four teeth on top and somehow even more personality. I don’t do leashes. I don’t do stairs. I do expect a fenced yard and a personal elevator (fine, a human with arms). You carry me—I wave like royalty. Dealbreakers: Apartments. I poop too freely and too often for shared walls. Stairs. Not a fan. Not negotiable. People who aren’t ready to discuss dingleberries like adults. So here’s the deal: I’m dramatic, extra, slightly high-maintenance, and 100% worth it. If you’re into snuggly sassballs with panda cosplay and an honest-to-God poop issue, then congratulations—you’ve found your soul-dog. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ginger is a sweet old lady dog (12) just looking for a place to relax and lounge her days away. She likes to take in the occasional stroll around the block, with or without you, she is not picky. But she will generally settle for a little jaunt around the back yard before spending the afternoon sunning in her favorites spot, a pile of newly disturbed dirt. If you enjoy gardening, she'll find you plenty of new spots for those petunias.  When she comes in for the day she enjoys lounging on a nice fluffy dog bed, the couch, your bed; whatever you find most comfortable. Her other hobbies include chewing on a new squeaky toy until it doesn't squeak, nibbing on her stuffies until their appendages are missing & looking for people food that might be accessible to her. Ginger enjoys the company of other dogs & cats as long as she can make an exit quietly if things get loud or too rambunctious for her liking. She also does great with kids in the same regards, and prefers to enjoy their presence from a distance when the volume & activity gets turned up to much. Ginger doesn't mind taking in a nap away from her people or lounging in the basement, but she prefers to know they are in the house. She gets a little panicked when she's alone which results in household destruction. That fear carries over when she is crated as well, so she'd do best in an household where someone is home with her on a regular basis.   Ginger has previously tested positive for lymes, which is a chronic health condition that can cause flare ups & may need to be treated with antibiotics over time. The flareup symptoms we have witnessed are decreased appitite, lethargy & diarrhea. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Layla — A Gentle Soul Learning to Trust   Layla is a sweet but shy girl who’s just beginning to discover what it means to truly be a dog. Until recently, she lived in a breeding facility — one of those “moms behind the curtain,” raising litters of puppies adored by many, while her own world stayed small and lonely.   Now safe and loved in foster care, Layla is slowly finding her footing in this big new world. After two months, she’s finally comfortable lying in the same room as her human and, with some gentle encouragement, comes over for soft pets. Progress is happening — it’s just at her pace.   Layla’s journey reminds us that healing takes time. There’s no magic switch to make her a “normal” dog overnight. She needs a family that understands this — one that will offer patience, compassion, and space while celebrating every little victory along the way.   Because of her shyness, Layla will thrive best in:   A calm home with no small children A fenced yard, so she can explore safely A confident dog friend, to show her the ropes and help her feel secure A Note About Safety and Flight Risk   During her first month in foster care, Layla was a significant flight risk. Once she got outside into her fenced yard, there was no getting her back in — she would hide behind trees and go straight into flight mode. For that reason, her future family must be extremely cautious and understand she will need a long lead when outdoors, even within a fenced area. Her foster mom can provide detailed guidance on how to help Layla feel safe, build trust, and learn how to calmly come in and out of the home.   Everyday Challenges   Layla is still working on mastering everyday dog skills. She hasn’t yet learned how to navigate stairs — a single step down she can manage, but multiple steps, such as those on a deck or inside a home, are still too overwhelming for her right now. With time, patience, and encouragement, she may overcome this.   One of Layla’s quirks: she won’t eat from a bowl. It’s a reminder of her past — when bowls likely meant stress or fear. Her foster mom hand-feeds her by scooping her food into her kennel, and Layla happily gobbles it up! She’s also a bit picky about her meals, but her foster can share all the details.   Layla may be a “designer breed,” but she’s also a survivor — a gentle heart ready to learn that love can last forever. With understanding and time, she’ll blossom into the loyal companion she was always meant to be.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal?
