Story
Leo came to me in November of 2023. He was 4 months old & had never touched grass. He is house trained. He knows how to sit & shake. Leo is extremely high energy. He does not do well with small children. He has bit while playing but still punctured the skin. We do have an older dog &Leo is rough when he plays. Our older dog is able to play rough some times but not a lot. Leo will walk on a chain but needs a pronged collar. He loves the lake & swimming but hates baths. He will thrive with someone that has room for him to run! He seems to do well with women more so than men for some reason, unknown to us. Leo is a Bullweiler & turned 1 year old on July 1st. While we are gone during the day, he is in the crate but most nights, sleeps with us.

Story
Finn is 4 years old. He likes to go hiking, running, biking, swimming, and kayaking. He likes to play fetch and cuddle on the couch. He came to us 2 years ago. We don't know much about his early life. He is currently taking medication for anxiety. This has helped but he doesn't get along with other male dogs in the home. He does get along with our female. We will happily discuss needed management and issues that Finn has with any interested parties. We don't have children that live with us but have young grandchildren that regularly visit and Finn has done well playing with them. What you get: initial supply of medication, 4 machine washable belly bands, a harness, a couple of his favorite toys and most importantly a very sweet boy that deserves so much more than life has given him thus far.

Story
Maui is a sweet, friendly, energetic husky mix, who turned 7 in July. We’ve had him since he was 11 weeks old. We were told he was 100% husky, but turns out he’s mixed. Not sure with what exact breed. We hate to have to let him go, but, we recently opened a construction business that keeps us away from home most of the day. Huskys need LOTS of attention. We have not been able to give him that. That’s why I am looking for a loving new home for him. I am not asking for a rehoming fee. He has never been aggressive towards anyone and gets along well with other dogs. He’s also great with kids!

Story
Adoption Fee: $460, plus tax Location: Foster Home Lyric aka Mama is as sweet as they come! She's is ready to join you on your couch and be the ultimate couch potato best-friend. Lyric came to us from Atlanta Georgia, where she was found abandoned with her puppies in a trailer home. For as rough as her life has been, she is the sweetest dog around and ready to find her forever home. Lyric uses her big pointy ears to listen to us tell her how much we love her about 50 times a day! She "melts" when anyone wants to pet her in a bid to get some tummy scratches. Although she is a bigger dog, she is the perfect mix of couch-potato and walk enjoyer. She is incredibly gentle and would make a good fit for any home with other dogs as long as she has a good, slow introduction! Lyric did undergo Heartworm treatment, but she has since been treated and is ready to go home! Lyric is about four years old, she is vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. If you are interested in giving Lyric a chance at a new life, please submit an application on Carver Scott Humane Society today!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Adoption Fee: $460, plus tax Location: Foster Home Pippin was found in a good Samaritans yard one day with no tags and no chips. Not having seen him before, the finders spend the afternoon and evening walking him around to the neighbors to see if anyone knew where he had come from! After hanging on to him for the 10 day stray hold, Pippin came to us, and is now looking for his forever home. Pippin has been evaluated by a behaviorist due to his tendency to people guard and his leash aggressiveness. He has taken great strides with the help of Giffy Dog Training and his foster, who has been dedicated to help Pippin reduce his stress level. Once Pippin gets comfortable with a person, he becomes a ride or die! Pippin is in need of a single dog home who can keep up with the training that is needed for him to become the best dog. If you are interested in learning more about Pippin, fill out an application at www.carverscotths.org
