Story
Location: Rosemount, MN Meet the lovely Foxglove. A quiet soul looking for a calm household to help her blossom. Foxglove is a bit of an introvert, but with time and patience, she will show you her gentle and playful side. She has a long list of wonderful qualities. *House trained *Not destructive *Great listener *Professional cuddler *Quiet housemate *Gently takes treats *Gladly accepts belly rubs *Loves to be near her people She is still working on building confidence and being brave, so a fenced yard would be the safest thing for her. It is unknown if she lived with kids, but too much chaos may be overwhelming. Kids 8+, and understand boundaries, would be best. While she hasn’t shown much interest in toys or playing, that could certainly change once she finds her perfect family. Are you active? Love the outdoors? Foxglove could be your girl. She totally loved running and rolling in the snow. She is happiest and most playful when out walking. She will show her excitement when the leash comes out. Leash skills are top notch. Getting in all the interesting smells makes her smile! A more remote or less traveled route can be beneficial while getting comfortable in a new environment. She seems to like dogs. She does walk with the resident dog, but hasn’t really wanted to interact. Again, in her forever home, she may show more interest. A dog that is very energetic may be too much for her. Are you someone with a soft spot for a shy, but sweet and loyal, companion? Apply to meet this gorgeous girl. She will definitely repay you with endless love and loyalty. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Big Lake, MN Lightning is such a sweet boy. He came to his foster parents a scared and timid dog but is now so comfortable in the home. We weren’t sure how he would adjust but he has turned in to the goofiest, cutest little guy. He loves pets, toys, and other dogs. His favorite thing is playing with his fosters resident dogs. He would do best in a home with other friendly dogs. They help him feel confident in unknown situations and have really brought out his goofy side. He’s patient with the fosters cat. He would do just fine in a home with cats. I would describe him as medium energy. When he’s playing with other dogs he is very energetic but overall he’s a pretty chill guy. He loves going for walks, he does good on a leash. Doesn’t really mind other people or dogs when on a walk. He does okay being left out while the fosters are gone. He has had a few incidents of getting into things but is mostly fine especially with exercise before being left alone. Could likely be kennel trained with patience. He is mostly potty trained but we are still working on getting him fully potty trained. He has gotten a lot better since getting neutered recently. He is a mostly quiet pup, will whine for a couple minutes when the fosters first leave but settles down quickly. This guy is amazing, anyone would be lucky to have him. He had a rough life before coming into the rescue but he’s learned that being domesticated isn’t so bad. He’s having the time of his life in his fosters home. He may take a few days to warm up to you but once he does be prepared for the goofiest boy. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Madison Lake, MN Meet Kirby 🤎 Kirby is a lovable little guy with the sweetest personality and a heart full of curiosity. This gentle boy has a soft, affectionate nature and truly enjoys being close to his family — whether that’s cuddling on the couch or quietly keeping you company throughout the day. He sleeps peacefully all night in his kennel near his foster family and is doing wonderfully with house training. Kirby also has excellent manners around his foster dog friends. He’s a thoughtful little explorer who loves walking alongside his people like a true companion. Kirby is deeply attuned to those he loves and the people who show him kindness. While he isn’t a social butterfly with new people right away, with a little time and patience he blossoms into a loyal and loving friend. Kirby is the perfect mix of playful and peaceful. He enjoys little adventures just as much as cozy evenings at home curled up beside you. He would make an devoted companion for someone looking for a gentle, loyal dog who brings both joy and friendship to his forever family. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Eagan, MN Gualala is a bundle of energy and joy! She’s a playful, curious puppy who loves spending time with her siblings and is always ready for fun. Gualala is very smart and picks up on routines quickly. She’s food-motivated, which makes training easier, and is already making great progress. She’s currently getting used to crate training and is doing well—she even sleeps through the night! She’s also doing great with potty habits for her age—she goes outside when taken out and uses pee pads indoors. With consistency, she’ll continue to improve. Gualala has a wonderful temperament and is great with kids and other dogs, making her a fantastic addition to many types of families. She would thrive in a loving home that can continue her training, give her plenty of playtime, and shower her with affection. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Alexandria, MN Meet Buttercup! Buttercup is a sweet, gentle pup who can be a little shy and reserved when meeting new people, but once she feels safe she becomes very loving and loyal to her people. Buttercup has low-to-moderate energy and enjoys both playtime and cuddles. She loves playing fetch and will happily bring the ball back so you can throw it again. She’s also extremely treat and food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. Belly rubs, snacks, and greeting her people when they come home are some of her favorite things. She is good with other dogs, but can be reactive when she sees them from a distance and does best with slow introductions. Buttercup doesn’t need another dog in the home, but a calm, friendly dog could help build her confidence. Buttercup is afraid of men and will need a patient home that allows her time to warm up. Because she isn’t familiar with toddlers, she would do best with older children. She sleeps well in her crate at night and learned potty training quickly. Buttercup cannot live with cats. She’s a very sweet, cuddly girl who has clearly had a difficult past and just needs a patient family who will give her the love and security she deserves. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Mankato, MN Lasso is a shy dog that has so much potential. He’s incredibly sweet, loves to be pet. He’s very anxious and does WAY better with other dogs in the house, to build his confidence. His current foster home has children (4 & 7 years old), but he would probably appreciate a quieter home with older kids. He doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body, but the loud sudden noises make him hide in his crate. He comes out of his shell more once the kiddos are in school 😅 His ideal home would have other dogs, and a family with patience to celebrate all his little milestones. He’s such a sweet dog that just wants to feel safe. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
