Story
Hi! I'm Brady! I'm from Kansas. From his foster: Brady is a stunning, exuberant, and affectionate pointer mix. Brady is a lot of fun! He is estimated to be 4 years old but still has a lot of puppy energy. He's happiest when playing, exercising, and learning. He requires physical and mental stimulation to thrive. Brady benefits from strong leadership and training. He is a dog who will bond strongly with his owner/leader. He completed a 6 week basic obedience training with his foster mom. He's learned his house manners and we're now working on leash skills and building confidence. He's a super smart boy. Brady attends dog day care once per week and does great! If you enjoy the loyalty and athleticism of working breeds, this handsome boy may be for you! Brady is a bit fearful of new situations. But once be feels safe, he's very affectionate. Has a teenager in his foster home, who he gets on great with. Not recommended for young children due to his strong play style. Brady likes his crate can be left for a few hours at a time. He is never crated all day and we do not leave him outside his crate when alone. A fenced yard would really help to keep Brady active, as would a dog companion. But not required if there are other options for exercise & engagement. From the vet team: Brady was found to be lyme positive. It is currently not causing any issues for Brady and likely a pre-existing condition.

I am looking for a foster or forever family! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org if you can say YES to fostering this animal! Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt Hi! My name is Corey and I am from Missouri. Corey is an adorable, energetic pup with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He hasn’t met a person he doesn’t love—tiny humans included! Kids are his absolute favorite, and he’s always ready to roll over for belly rubs and give gentle kisses. Corey thrives around people and would be a perfect addition to an active home with lots of human interaction. He’s dog-friendly and generally very submissive. While a previous foster noted some resource guarding, it has improved significantly with consistency and supervision. Smart as a whip, Corey picks up new commands quickly and has excellent off-leash recall. He loves going to the beach, exploring parks, and soaking up attention wherever he goes. He does have a bit of separation anxiety and will bark when left alone, so he stays in a kennel when his humans are out. We’re working on helping him feel more comfortable with solo time. Corey would thrive in a home full of love, activity, and people—especially if there are kids to cuddle with and adventures to be had. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion who’ll keep you smiling, Corey’s your guy!

Story
Hi! My name is Daisy and I am from Minnesota. After years in a kennel used for breeding, Daisy is finally knowing what love is. When she arrived in foster, Daisy was underweight, could barely walk from sore paws & stiff joints, & overgrown nails. In just 2 months, Daisy has blossomed into a cute, affectionate companion. She lives with 2 brothers, who have become her buddies, and she enjoys wandering the yard, sniffing everything in sight. She’s gaining weight, and understands now that meals come regularly. Her housetraining is improving- she still has accidents in her play pen, which once was her entire world(kennel), but making steady progress. Daisy is a total cuddle bug who enjoys baths, car rides & meeting people and dogs. At bedtime, she sleeps with her family with no accidents- just pure contentment. This little survivor has the biggest heart and the cutest wigglebutt. She’s finally discovering the joys of being a dog & looking for her forever home. From the Vet: Daisy has been in rescue for a bit while we waited for a cardiology specialist consultation due to a grade 3-4/6 heart murmur. This report has come back with good news for Daisy! The cause of her heart murmur is due to two mildly leaky valves in her heart, however her status at this time does not indicate a need for medications or surgery. It is safe for us to proceed with her other necessary surgeries. She will need to be spayed prior to adoption and then TBB will pursue getting Daisy an orthopedic surgery called an FHO to repair an injury to her right hip. Daisy also will need a dental surgery that will be covered by The Bond Between. Her future forever family should be prepared to take care of her medical needs common for her breed as well as annual check ups with a primary care vet for heart monitoring. They will need to provide Daisy a quiet, soft place to land to recover for about 8-12 weeks after her orthopedic surgery. Activity restriction during this time will be recommended. Following her dental, a softened food diet may be indicated.

Story
A portion of Aldridge's adoption fee has been sponsored by his friends at The Murray Fund. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $375.00 will be applied during the contract process Hiya. My name is Aldridge. You can call me Aldi, Alds, or Bubba! I was told people are interested in my story... so here goes it. I like to talk so get ready for a long read! I've been with The BB since 2021. When I first arrived, I got bumped around from foster families to office kennels to different foster families. As you'll soon see, I need a special fit. I've got a lot of quirks. In 2022, I found my current foster mama. I know that she (and her entire family) loves me very much, too. I understand that she's not in a position to adopt me right now and that is A-OKAY because she's working hard to find me my pawfect fit. And I get to spend time with her until that happens so it's a pretty good arrangement if you ask me! My foster mama has put me to work. We have worked on lots of training. She says I've grown a lot over the years and that she is really proud of me. It makes me happy to hear that! Sometimes I make mistakes, but hey no one is pawfect! I like to talk. I'm part Husky... so what did you expect?! I take my job of keeping the humans informed very seriously. Mail delivery? I'll report it. Squirrel in the yard? I'll let them know. Neighbors on a walk? My humans must know! Most of the time when I'm being vocal it is because I'm just REALLY excited and can't keep my voice down. You know when you see your bestie for the first time in a long time and you can't help but scream of happiness?! Well... that's how I feel when I see other doggos on walks! It comes on a little strong, but I just cannot contain the excitement. It's one of my quirks that makes me, me! Once my body is worked out I like to work my brain out. Gotta stay in shape physically and mentally! Brain games and toys keep me entertained and help me be on my best behavior. I like to exercise every day! While I need to be active, I don't thrive in situations with a lot of commotion, loud noises, or running kiddos. I get overwhelmed easily (maybe I'm an introvert?) and will start to chase and bark. It's not fun for anyone involved so I do my best to stay away from that. Lastly, I'm on special food that has an omega-3 supplement that goes on top... and it gets topped with pumpkin, yum! It might seem a little extra... but life is short. I think I should have delicious and nutritious food! Okay my paw is getting tired... you can email my foster mom or The BB if you want to meet me. You should know that I might be a little timid at first. I believe that you have to earn trust and love. Once we get to know each other, I will be your most loyal friend. That's when I'll join you on the couch for cuddles and pets (don't rub my head though... I don't like that). Paws and kisses, Aldi

Story
Hello my name is Molly, I'm from Minnesota! From the foster: Molly is a sweet older lady who enjoys lounging around, getting scratches, and playing in short bursts. She gets occasional zoomies, but isn’t crazy about toys. She does like hard bones to chew on. She’s slowly losing weight and going on daily walks to improve her stamina. She is almost able to jump onto the couch unassisted. She gets along with everyone, dogs and people alike. She loves to be around her people but will also do her own thing when she is ready to relax. An ideal forever home will have someobe who is able to spend time with Molly in her golden years. She would do well with someone who enjoys walking and is able to continue her journey towards hitting her optimal weight and having a healthy life. She would be fine as either an only dog or an addition to a loving home.
