Story
Oreo is a 9‑year‑old neutered Shih Tzu, he’s up to date on shots. He developed allergies around age 7 and has atopic dermatitis, causing itching, paw redness, and occasional ear irritation that can be controlled with a consistent care/routine. He just needs ocassional medicated baths, medication (Numelvi) and will need ongoing vet care. He does need a dental done within the next year. Unfortunately his ongoing health care requires more time and vet resources than we can provide. He needs an experienced, calm home with no other pets or children, ideally adults only, and someone who has time for a routine. He is sweet, clingy, and very loving. He is potty trained (will cry at the door), low energy, food motivated, and knows many tricks. Good on leash but cannot be off leash outside, low energy, likes walks but likes being indoors most of the time. This is not an easy decision, most of all he needs a loving home that will prioritize his health and keep monitoring for his comfort.

Story
Meet Hensley: The Sweetest Soul You'll Ever Meet ❤️ Hensley is a 1-year-old pittie mix with a heart that's even bigger than his adorable smile. His story began with heartbreak after he was abandoned on the side of the road, where he faithfully waited in the very same spot for three days, hoping the people he loved would come back for him. Thankfully, his next chapter is going to be so much brighter. Despite everything he's been through, Hensley has remained incredibly gentle and loving. He appears to have experienced abuse in his past, so he's still building his confidence and learning that the world can be a safe, kind place. With a little patience, encouragement, and lots of love, Hensley continues to blossom more every day. One of Hensley's favorite things in the world is water! Whether it's splashing in a kiddie pool or cooling off on a warm day, he's always ready for some fun. He's not exactly the most graceful swimmer, but what he lacks in swimming skills, he more than makes up for with enthusiasm and pure joy. Hensley is crate trained, walks beautifully on a leash with very minimal pulling, and is an absolute dream to take on adventures. He's also incredibly photogenic, you'll find it nearly impossible to take a bad picture of this handsome boy! His expressive eyes, goofy smile and extremely boopable nose have a way of stealing everyone's heart. Hensley is looking for a family who will continue helping him build his confidence while showing him the love and security he's always deserved. In return, he'll reward you with endless loyalty, happy adventures, and a lifetime of unconditional love. Could you be the person to show Hensley that he'll never have to wait on the side of the road again? All CSHS pups are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative (if older than 6 months), dewormed and microchipped. Story
Hi! My name is Darling, and I'm looking for my forever family! 🐾 I'm about 5 months old and weigh around 20 pounds. I can be a little shy when I first meet new people or experience new things. The world is still pretty big and exciting (and sometimes a little scary!) for a young pup like me. But if you give me a little time and patience, I warm up quickly and become a loving, loyal cuddle buddy. I absolutely LOVE playing with my foster dog brothers! They have helped me learn that life is fun, and I would probably enjoy having another dog friend in my new home. When playtime is over, I'm always happy to curl up for some snuggles and soak up all the love I can get. I'm also working hard on my kennel training and getting better every day at settling down when it's time to spend time in my kennel. My foster family is very proud of my progress! And guess what? I'm doing really well with my potty training, too! Even though I was nervous and had to adjust to a brand-new foster home, I only had two accidents during my first week. My foster mom says that's pretty impressive with so many changes happening all at once. Now that I've had time to settle in and feel safer, I bet I can do even better! My perfect family will understand that I may need a little time to build confidence, but they'll be rewarded with a sweet, affectionate puppy who just wants to be loved. If you're looking for a playful companion with a gentle heart, a growing sense of confidence, and lots of love to give, I might be the perfect match for you! Could you be my forever family? ❤️🐶 All CSHS pups are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative (if older than 6 months), dewormed and microchipped. Story
Meet Desi! She is a small black dog with the prettiest white chest and adorable white paw prints that look like she stepped in fresh snow. She stands about 18-20 inches tall and has a gentle, loving personality. She has been fostered in a home with five children under the age of 11 and has done wonderfully with them. She is patient, playful, and has never resorted to nipping or biting. She tolerates being picked up, held, and even carried around by young children who are not always the most delicate handlers. She rarely barks except when startled and generally has a calm, easy-going demeanor. She loves being near her people and is happiest when she can follow you from room to room, curl up nearby, or join in family activities. She enjoys playing fetch, walks well on a leash, and sleeps quietly in her kennel through the night without any fuss. She is still learning that potty time happens outside, so she will benefit from continued consistency and encouragement. She does have some separation anxiety and would not do well in a home where she is left alone for long hours each day. If you're looking for a loyal companion who loves children, enjoys playtime, and simply wants to be part of your everyday life, this sweet girl may be the perfect addition to your family. All CSHS pups are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative (if older than 6 months), dewormed and microchipped. Story
Meet Elsie, your loyal shadow, adventure buddy, and professional snuggler 💛 Elsie is a stunning, intelligent girl with a huge heart and an even bigger personality. She absolutely thrives in a home with other dogs. She loves to play, wrestle, and then curl up for cozy naps with her canine friends. Her best friend is a cat named Hector and in a new home (and proper introductions) Elsie can adjust to cats with a little time and patience. This sweet girl is deeply devoted to her people. She wants to be by your side through everything, whether you’re relaxing on the couch, working around the house, or even trying to load the dishwasher (she insists on supervising!). Personal space? Elsie’s never heard of it and honestly, she thinks it’s overrated. Elsie is incredibly smart and very food motivated, which makes training both fun and rewarding. She already knows a long list of cues like sit, down, shake, leave it, watch me, and even a few fun ones like “raise the roof!” She learns quickly and loves having a job to do. Keeping her mentally engaged, through training, play, or long walks, will help her shine. She’s also an active girl who enjoys running and has even tried canicross, pulling is her thing! She’s currently working on loose leash walking and does great when given guidance and focus cues like “watch me” or “easy.” At home, she loves zooming around the yard, watching squirrels, playing in the hose, and stretching out into her signature “frog dog” pose. Elsie does have a sensitive side and is looking for a confident, patient home that will help her feel safe and supported. She can be wary of new people, especially men, but with really yummy treats, slow, proper introductions and consistency, she warms up and becomes affectionate (face kisses included!). Because of this, she’ll do best with a family that can advocate for her space and provide structure when guests visit. Elsie is kennel trained (she’ll happily go in when you say “kennel” or “dinner”) and does best eating separately. Elsie’s ideal home: - Another playful dog (or dogs!) to be her best friend - A patient, confident adopter committed to helping her navigate new experiences - A home that will provide structure, mental stimulation, and lots of love - Someone who understands that trust takes time and is willing to earn it - In return, Elsie will give you unwavering loyalty, endless companionship, and plenty of laughs with her quirky, loving personality. She is truly something special and she’s just waiting for the right person to see it. 💕 All CSHS pups are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative (if older than 6 months), dewormed and microchipped. Story
Daisy is a Lab/Pit Bull mix born December 3, 2024, and weighs 85 lbs. She is spayed, house trained, crate trained, working on leash training, current on all vaccinations, and rides well in the car. She previously lived in a home with a cat and did well.Daisy is a sweet, affectionate girl with a wonderful mix of playful energy and calm cuddles. She loves people, being outdoors, giving “handshakes,” and relaxing close to her person. She has a loving personality and enjoys being part of the family.Daisy does show a prey drive toward small wildlife outdoors, so she will need supervision outside and a family who understands her instincts.Daisy originally belonged to my mom on a farm, who can no longer care for her due to personal and health challenges. We brought Daisy from Oklahoma to Minnesota hoping to find her a safe placement and are looking for a loving, stable forever home where she can thrive.
