Jake is a 6 year old Jack Russel Terrier who loves to go for walks and is smart as a whip. You have another dog - he will be their new best friend as he loves to play and chase. Jake is also a bit of a ""hog"" when it comes to being petted - there is no amount that is too much for him! Jake is learning how to be leash trained, but starting out as a farm dog did not lend him the experience that he requires. Jake has a few allergies, but they are quite manageable and he does well with his meds. He would be best in a home without small children and cats (he chases them), he prefers big people who will cuddle him endlessly.Adoption Application Link:https://www.swmetroanimalrescue.org/images/Documents/dogadoptupdated.pdf Jake has had a complete wellness exam, is microchipped, neutered, and is updated on vaccinations. Bentley will go into a kennel without putting up a fight. He is a strong boy that walks well on a leash, but may occasionally pull. He is a good watch dog, he doesn't let anything get past him. She knows her basic commands. Nala we feel was maybe not treated that great in her past life. She needs a home that is quiet and has humans that are willing to show her what real love is like. Adoption Fee: $450, plus taxes Location: Foster Home A little bit more about Beaux. He truly is a great dog. He knows basic commands. Because I have a gate up at the bottom of the stairs so my dog doesn't go up and pee he sees the kitty and whines so I am not exactly sure how he would react if she came downstairs and stayed. He has only barked once and that was because I was outside and the resident pup started to bark so he joined in otherwise his bark is usually an open mouth eating air. That is the best way I can describe it. He is fully potty trained. Stays off the furniture for the most part except when I go upstairs to bed. Then he makes himself all comfy cozy on the couch. He is easy to redirect when he shouldn't be doing something. He only gets on his hind legs to give a hug and you tell him down and he does. He has definitely been in a home with family. He would do best in a home with a yard for him to run and play in. Or to be a part of an active family that walk or run on a daily basis. He really enjoys being outside running and playing. He has been friendly with dogs that he has met. Beaux is up to date on his vaccinations, has been neutered and has a microchip. Adoption Fee: $450 + tax Location: Foster Home Winnie is a sweet pup who had a rough start. She was found at a truck stop in Texas and had been hit by a car. The person who found her brought her to a rescue who got her fixed up. She did have to have surgery for hip dysplasia. She had a femoral head ostectomy surgery. This was done prior to her coming to live with us. It does not slow her down, she loves to play and run. If she has a busy day of running or not enough activity she can become sore and has pain pills to assist. We have also found she will need soft surfaces to rest as laying on the hard ground can cause more pain for her. Winnie is 2 years old and needs training. She is good on a leash but still needs to learn more commands. She has some fear of men, not all men, but has barked and been stand offish with others. She does well around other dogs, but without enough activity can get become mischievous. She would be best in a home with active people or a place with a fenced in yard where she can run and play
