Story
Forever in Foster Care Meet Reina! This girl is 8 years old and is handicapable!  Reina will be a forever foster in DRM's Program and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION.  Her foster family and DRM have devoted themselves to keeping Reina in their home, where she will be cared for and loved for the rest of her life. Reina was originally rescued from a high kill shelter by an all breed rescue. It was apparent she suffered from neurological issues, but nothing could be found on x-rays of her spine. DRM then stepped in and welcomed Reina into our program to get the help needed so she can thrive!   Reina was born with a condition that caused the nerves from her back legs to brain to not map completely. Sometimes she can be a bit wobbly and sometimes she suffers from incontinence. She is on a special diet that has helped a lot with her potty issues though!  Reina’s favorite activities include snuggling her humans, chewing on bones, going for walks, playdates with her friends and exploring the yard. She also LOVES to chase rabbits and squirrels! When she’s tuckered out, she’ll sunbathe looking out the window or hang out with her foster family.  Reina has lived with other dogs and cats – she’s awesome with dogs but can be very curious about her feline friends. Reina is super smart and knows all the basic commands. Her recall is great (as long as she’s not scouting for bunnies or squirrels) and she is very food motivated to learn anything else you’d like to teach her. She is a hit around the neighborhood with her sunny disposition and love of everyone she meets.  March 7, 2026, 3:24 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Ziggy! 6 years old • 32 lbs • Australian Cattle Dog / Border Collie mix (with some German Shepherd, Beagle, and Lab in there too!) Ziggy is a smart, soulful, couch-loving companion who thrives with her people and forms deep bonds with the humans she trusts. Like many herding breeds, she takes her job of “keeping an eye on things” seriously — but once she decides you’re a friend, you’re in for a lifetime of loyalty, snuggles, and companionship. When new people arrive, Ziggy will announce herself with a bark or two, then quickly switch into friendly mode. After a proper sniff and hello, she’s eager to engage — often gently guiding your hand to her chest, where she loves extra scratches. Before you know it, she’s your new best friend on the couch. Why we love Ziggy: Incredibly smart and very trainable - she k nows tricks and has great recall indoors A wonderful companion who simply wants someone around, and loves cuddling on the couch or in bed! Loves car rides — short trips or long adventures. Ziggy e njoys hiking and exploring (she’s a fan of the North Shore!) Famous for her dramatic “old man” sighs Loves chew bones and has a beloved stuffed frog, but has  never destroyed anything in the house she shouldn't! Geo-trained with a hidden fence Comfortable being left alone for up to 6 hours Ziggy was adopted during COVID and has always had adults around during the day. While she initially seemed bonded to one person, she’s truly just happiest knowing someone is nearby. She does well with trusted adults, older kids, and even a house/dog sitter when her family is away. Ziggy is a herding-breed dog through and through and can be reactive to other dogs, especially on walks. Her bark can sound intense, but with consistent, positive training, she can sometimes ignore passing dogs when walked solo. Group walks with other dogs, however, increase her stress and reactivity. Ziggy  has also developed some resource guarding around food, toys, and favorite resting spots. With structure, space, and experienced handling, these behaviors are manageable, but Ziggy will do best as the only dog in the home. Because of her herding instincts, Ziggy is not a fit for homes with young children, as she may chase or nip at ankles. A home with adults only or older, dog-savvy kids, along with a fenced yard, are a requirement. Ziggy has not had any long-term experience with cats.  Ziggy is deeply loving, loyal, and ready to be someone’s whole world. In the right home — one that understands her intelligence, sensitivity, and need for structure — she will be an incredible, devoted companion who curls up beside you, sighs contentedly, and reminds you every day how special a bond with a dog can be.  If you're ready to open your heart and home to this loving companion, submit an interest form here:  https://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/ If you are viewing this listing on PETFINDER there is often MORE INFO ON and MORE PICS OF the animal DIRECTLY ON OUR WEBSITE. redemptionroad.mn@gmail.com *Adoption fees range from $525-$650, depending on the individual animal* Follow us on Facebook & Instagram! https://www.facebook.com/RedemptionRoadRescue/ @RedemptionRoadRescueMN Ziggy is fully vetted: spayed, DHLPP vaccinated, rabies vaccinated, bordetella vaccinated, lyme vaccinated,  4DX/heartworm tested,  microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed.  *Ziggy does have allergies: she takes a Benadryl daily with morning meal and gets a shot of Cytopoint in fall and spring.* Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 2:20 pm

Age: DOB 6/5/2026 Dog friendly: yes Cat friendly: yes Kid friendly: yes Potty trained: no, just a puppy Crate trained: no, just a puppy Meet Mako, the sweetest shark in the sea! Just like his fast and clever namesake, this little smarty-pants is always one step ahead of the pack. When he isn't busy jumping and chasing his foster siblings around, Mako is on the ultimate hunt, tracking down his "prey"—aka any squeaky toy in sight—and proudly destroying them to show them who’s boss. But don't let his fierce hunting skills fool you; once the expedition is over, this little guy loves nothing more than taking a break to snuggle up and dock right next to his favorite humans. If you are looking for a clever, playful pup who is just as ready for an active adventure as he is for a cozy cuddle session, Mako is ready to swim right into your heart and home! Adoption fee: $895

I'm affectionate and cuddly by nature, and I love gentle interactions as I learn that the world isn't that scary of a place. I am working on potty training and crate training and do a pretty good job using the puppy pads. I will probably grow to be a large pup over 60 lbs. Come meet me and let's start this wonderful journey together! ❤️

Date of birth: 5/7/2026 Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes Adoption fee: $795 Low rider alert! Meet Wallace! Wallace is a gentle, loving, playful and sweet little guy that lives for love and treats. He plays well with dogs of all sizes and people, or with a toy by himself. He also wants desperately to play with the cats, despite what they may prefer, so check with your feline friend first. While not as vocal as his brother, he does have decided opinions that need expressing when it comes to squirrels and delivery drivers. He's a smart pup that has very quickly adapted to home life, sleeping well in his crate and doing well on a puppy potty schedule. He's very eager to please and treat motivated, making training fun for everyone. Wallace is going to make the very best best friend you could ask for.

Story
Come meet me at one of our Adoption Events this weekend! 💜 White Bear Lake Marketfest THURSDAY, 7/23 from 6-9pm 💚 Brühaven in Minneapolis on Saturday, 7/25 from Noon - 2:00pm Age: 3 years old Weight: 11.4 lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Meet pretty Piper the perfect pooch! If there were such a thing as a plug and play dog, it would be Piper. Piper came to Minnesota from Texas along with her litter of puppies. While I’m sure she misses the little buggers, she’s enjoying the child-free life. Why is she so perfect? She’s potty trained, she’s quiet (in the month that we’ve had her, we’ve heard her bark once!), and she gets along with all four-legged friends. Piper’s likes: Belly rubs More belly rubs All the belly rubs Hard things to chew on Treats Friends (both cats and dogs) she can play with Zoomies! Piper’s dislikes: Wet grass Car rides - they make her nervous The Amazon truck (that’s the one thing she’s barked at) Watching you dance. She will judge you. And you will not get a favorable judgement. Being told no more belly rubs. The one word that describes Piper best is "winsome." Pretty Piper really is the whole Package! Adoption Fee: $695
