Story
Forever in Foster Care Meet Reina! This girl is 8 years old and is handicapable!  Reina will be a forever foster in DRM's Program and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION.  Her foster family and DRM have devoted themselves to keeping Reina in their home, where she will be cared for and loved for the rest of her life. Reina was originally rescued from a high kill shelter by an all breed rescue. It was apparent she suffered from neurological issues, but nothing could be found on x-rays of her spine. DRM then stepped in and welcomed Reina into our program to get the help needed so she can thrive!   Reina was born with a condition that caused the nerves from her back legs to brain to not map completely. Sometimes she can be a bit wobbly and sometimes she suffers from incontinence. She is on a special diet that has helped a lot with her potty issues though!  Reina’s favorite activities include snuggling her humans, chewing on bones, going for walks, playdates with her friends and exploring the yard. She also LOVES to chase rabbits and squirrels! When she’s tuckered out, she’ll sunbathe looking out the window or hang out with her foster family.  Reina has lived with other dogs and cats – she’s awesome with dogs but can be very curious about her feline friends. Reina is super smart and knows all the basic commands. Her recall is great (as long as she’s not scouting for bunnies or squirrels) and she is very food motivated to learn anything else you’d like to teach her. She is a hit around the neighborhood with her sunny disposition and love of everyone she meets.  March 7, 2026, 3:24 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Ziggy! 6 years old • 32 lbs • Australian Cattle Dog / Border Collie mix (with some German Shepherd, Beagle, and Lab in there too!) Ziggy is a smart, soulful, couch-loving companion who thrives with her people and forms deep bonds with the humans she trusts. Like many herding breeds, she takes her job of “keeping an eye on things” seriously — but once she decides you’re a friend, you’re in for a lifetime of loyalty, snuggles, and companionship. When new people arrive, Ziggy will announce herself with a bark or two, then quickly switch into friendly mode. After a proper sniff and hello, she’s eager to engage — often gently guiding your hand to her chest, where she loves extra scratches. Before you know it, she’s your new best friend on the couch. Why we love Ziggy: Incredibly smart and very trainable - she k nows tricks and has great recall indoors A wonderful companion who simply wants someone around, and loves cuddling on the couch or in bed! Loves car rides — short trips or long adventures. Ziggy e njoys hiking and exploring (she’s a fan of the North Shore!) Famous for her dramatic “old man” sighs Loves chew bones and has a beloved stuffed frog, but has  never destroyed anything in the house she shouldn't! Geo-trained with a hidden fence Comfortable being left alone for up to 6 hours Ziggy was adopted during COVID and has always had adults around during the day. While she initially seemed bonded to one person, she’s truly just happiest knowing someone is nearby. She does well with trusted adults, older kids, and even a house/dog sitter when her family is away. Ziggy is a herding-breed dog through and through and can be reactive to other dogs, especially on walks. Her bark can sound intense, but with consistent, positive training, she can sometimes ignore passing dogs when walked solo. Group walks with other dogs, however, increase her stress and reactivity. Ziggy  has also developed some resource guarding around food, toys, and favorite resting spots. With structure, space, and experienced handling, these behaviors are manageable, but Ziggy will do best as the only dog in the home. Because of her herding instincts, Ziggy is not a fit for homes with young children, as she may chase or nip at ankles. A home with adults only or older, dog-savvy kids, along with a fenced yard, are a requirement. Ziggy has not had any long-term experience with cats.  Ziggy is deeply loving, loyal, and ready to be someone’s whole world. In the right home — one that understands her intelligence, sensitivity, and need for structure — she will be an incredible, devoted companion who curls up beside you, sighs contentedly, and reminds you every day how special a bond with a dog can be.  If you're ready to open your heart and home to this loving companion, submit an interest form here:  https://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/ If you are viewing this listing on PETFINDER there is often MORE INFO ON and MORE PICS OF the animal DIRECTLY ON OUR WEBSITE. redemptionroad.mn@gmail.com *Adoption fees range from $525-$650, depending on the individual animal* Follow us on Facebook & Instagram! https://www.facebook.com/RedemptionRoadRescue/ @RedemptionRoadRescueMN Ziggy is fully vetted: spayed, DHLPP vaccinated, rabies vaccinated, bordetella vaccinated, lyme vaccinated,  4DX/heartworm tested,  microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed.  *Ziggy does have allergies: she takes a Benadryl daily with morning meal and gets a shot of Cytopoint in fall and spring.* Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 2:20 pm

Age: 2 years Weight: 53 pounds Dog friendly: Yes, slow introductions please Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Not yet, but stays happily on the bed when home alone. ***Fence required in most situations*** Adoption fee: $395 Boy do we love this dog! He is the classic "wiggle-butt-pittie" that loves his people so much! He loves to lay by our side maintaining body contact as much as possible. Ike is a good boy that came from a Missouri animal control shelter in March. He came straight to our home and lives with 4 other dogs and a cat -- no problem! We are working on meeting other dogs in public places. He needs slow introductions so he’s not a great dog for breweries or dog parks... just yet. We have tried a couple different crates, but find him roaming free in the house when we return, lol. He is definitely skilled at escaping a crate. He does best being left to lay on the bed while we are gone. Ike’s favorite things are going for a car ride, playing fetch, and laying by his people. You might even find yourself becoming his favorite pillow on the couch! Ike is a strong dog and would benefit from training to walk on a leash without pulling -- like we said, he's strong! If there is no fence, training is a must as well as commitment to follow through. But believe us when we say, he's worth it! Ike just loves all people! Apply today to meet this wonderful guy.

Story
Come meet me at one of our Adoption Events this weekend! 💜 Bark in the Park in Plymouth on Saturday, 5/16 from 9:00am - Noon 💚 Spike & Houles in Stillwater on Sunday, 5/17 from Noon - 2:00pm Age: 3 years Weight: 47 lbs Dog friendly: Yes, requires companion dog in the home Cat friendly: unknown Kid friendly: yes Potty trained: yes Crate trained: yes Meet Franklin. Franklin is a bit of a miracle dog. He got himself caught in a coyote snare and was stuck there for quite some time. When the owner of the snare found him, he opened the trap and let Franklin without providing any care. Luckily for Franklin, a relative heard of the incident and called rescue for help. By the time rescuers found him, he was almost starved to death, and the leg was so infected it had to be removed. Fast forward to now. Franklin is all healed and at a healthy weight. He is doing so well learning to be a family dog. He loves love. Can’t get enough of it. He’s learning to play with other dogs and toys. He does well on a leash. He’s an overall great guy who would really love a family is his own. Is that you? Come meet him and find out! Adoption fee: $495

Story
Age: 6/29/2025 Weight: ~40 lbs Dog friendly: Yes (may benefit from another dog in home) Cat friendly: Unknown Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Meet Nesta! Nesta is a sweet, affectionate girl who loves being close to her people. She’s gentle with kids, eager to please, and a quick learner who enjoys training, treats, and enrichment. Once she bonds with you, she’s a loyal little shadow who just wants to be part of your world. Nesta is also a sensitive and observant pup who is still learning to feel confident in the outside world. Busy or unpredictable environments can feel overwhelming for her right now, so she does best with calm, patient guidance and a structured approach. She’s not quite a “take everywhere” dog yet, but she has so much potential with the right support. At home, Nesta is a wonderful companion who enjoys relaxing near her people and settling in her crate when she needs a break which still needs some encouragement sometimes. She does well with visitors and other dogs after a warm-up period and may especially benefit from a confident, well-balanced dog in the home to help her feel more secure. Nesta is looking for a home that can provide a calm, consistent environment and is excited to continue helping her build confidence at her own pace. With time, patience, and love, she will grow into a deeply loyal and rewarding companion. Adoption fee: $250
