Story
Meet Mickey I am a really sweet, people-loving guy looking for connection.  I might be shy when we meet, but I don’t stay unsure for long. Once I feel safe, I lean in—literally. I seek out affection, attention, and reassurance, and I become a very happy, loving companion. I’m the kind of dog who wants to be near you, with you, part of your world.  I’ve got a playful, active side too! I love to run, so a fenced yard would make me very happy. Toys are still a bit new to me, but I’m starting to figure them out. Walks? We’re working on that—I can get a little unsure and would rather head back home—but with patience, I know I’ll get there.  And when it comes to cuddling… oh, I’m all in. I might bring a little chaotic energy at first (okay, maybe I’ll bounce off you once or twice ), but then I settle in and just want to be close. I really do love my people. What I’m Looking For: I’m going to thrive with someone who understands that confidence takes time to build. I’ll need: A consistent routine to help me feel secure Continued support with potty and crate training - I can wait 6 hours no problem before I really need to go. Why You’ll Love Me When you choose me, you’re not just getting a dog—you’re getting a companion who will grow with you, trust you deeply, and love you in that quiet, meaningful way that only a once-shy dog can. If you’re willing to give me a little time… I promise I’ll give you my whole heart. Love,Mickey Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. Story
Birdie is a 4-year-old Olde English Bulldogge with a loving, friendly personality. She truly loves everyone she meets and gets along great with other dogs. She’s curious, engaged, and always interested in what’s going on around her.She enjoys chewing on bones, squeaky toys, and even a good stick from the yard. While she’s not currently into playing fetch, she’s very food-motivated and eager to learn—so she has greatpotential for training and new gamesI do love her very much! I feel to be fair to her she needs a more active environment than I can give her living in an apartment. She would benefit from a home where she has room to run, play and interact with others be it dogs or people. She does great at the off-leash dog park we go to in Ramsey. Currently she is in a kennel while I am at work, which is 10 hours a day, 5 days a week. I just think there is a better situation for her wellbeing. Please consider adopting this wonderful and lovable dog!🐕 The adoption fee is negotiable.

Story
About Me My name is Bubblegum... nice to meet you! I'm the sweetest little shadow you’ll ever have! I'm looking for a family to love and follow everywhere—after all, I'm a true velcro pup who adores being close, especially if I can nap on your feet and get my ears scratched! Do that and I'll make that face... you know the one! My days are a routine to thrive in, but they include a mix of playtime and cuddles. When tired, I'll sleep soundly in my crate. I enjoy quiet mornings, especially if I can play with my favorite squeaky toys (with Lambchop being my top pick!). I do so love short bursts of play followed by cozy naps. I'm always up for a treat! I'm learning new things every day—potty, crate, and leash training—all going great! I'm friendly with everyone—kids, dogs, and even cats. I'll get very excited meeting new friends—so excited that sometimes I jump up to say hello! ...yes, I'm working on my manners. I just get so excited to play with any other dogs! I'm not a big barker, though! In fact, loud noises like fireworks or motorcycles can startle me. And I'm still figuring out the vacuum cleaner. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will bring joy, playfulness, and lots of love into your home, I want to meet you. Story
Hi friends! I'm joining The Rescue Crew on Wednesday, August 26, and I need a home ready to welcome me when I arrive!  I’m looking for either a foster or foster-to-adopt home. Want to foster? You’ll give me a safe, temporary place to stay while The Rescue Crew provides the supplies, veterinary care, and support I need until I find my forever family. Think you might want to adopt me? Foster-to-adopt may be a great option! You’ll start as my foster caregiver, giving us a chance to get to know one another before deciding whether adoption is the right fit. There’s no obligation to adopt should you decide it's not the right time, or I'm not your iideal pet. Because I’m not yet in The Rescue Crew’s care, I’m not available through the regular adoption process yet. If you’re interested in either fostering me or potentially adopting me through foster-to-adopt, please complete the Foster Caregiver Questionnaire. Our team will follow up with you about next steps. Story
About Me: Meet Tiptoe, a gentle soul looking for a calm, loving home where he can finally feel safe. Tiptoe is an adult, low-energy pup who prefers quiet routines and peaceful environments. He’s crate trained, good in the car, and happiest when he’s right by your side—he truly is your little shadow. Tiptoe is still learning to trust and can be timid and unsure, so he’ll thrive with someone patient who understands that building confidence takes time. He’s not interested in toys or playtime, but he absolutely loves belly rubs and simply being close to his person. Tiptoe does best with slow introductions and isn’t a fan of large dogs, though he may be okay with a small, gentle companion. He’s had some medical issues, so walks haven’t been part of his routine yet, but he’s comfortable on a leash and enjoys calm outings. Tiptoe needs a home where he can take things at his own pace and discover that there are good humans out there. If you’re looking for a quiet, loyal companion and have a peaceful home to share, Tiptoe would love to meet you. Apply today to give this sweet boy the second chance he deserves. ---------- WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED? The Rescue Crew is a foster-based rescue, which means all of our pets are cared for in homes throughout Minnesota.  Foster Home Pets: Meet & greets are scheduled after an approved adoption application Cats at The PURRfect Match Adoption Center (Andover, MN): Some cats may be available to meet during open hours Please visit our website for the most accurate information on this pet and next steps. Story
Meet Sneakers — She’s Been Waiting a Long Time for Her Person Sneakers has been part of The Rescue Crew family since March 2024, when she made the journey to Minnesota from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Now 4½ years old, this incredibly sweet girl has spent far too long waiting for something every dog deserves: a home and person of her very own. And according to her foster mom, there is a never-ending list of wonderful things to say about Miss Sneakers. Sneakers is affectionate, smart, eager to please, and wonderfully responsive to training. She’s motivated by treats, but praise may be even better—and fortunately, telling Sneakers she’s a “good girl” comes pretty easily. She is completely potty trained and has done well with both house and apartment living. She already knows sit, lay down, off, and wait, and she enjoys getting out for walks, exploring the park, sunbathing, and then settling in at home with her favorite stuffed toys. And once Sneakers loves you? She really loves you. She’s a total mama’s girl who adores tummy rubs, takes treats ever so gently, and will even hold your hand. She forms incredibly deep bonds with the people she trusts and is the kind of dog who wants to be someone's loyal companion. Yes, Sneakers Has One Eye You may notice something else that makes Sneakers extra special: she has only one eye. The good news is that having one eye does not mean Sneakers requires special ongoing medical care or comes with additional expected health needs because of it. Like other one-eyed dogs, she simply has a reduced field of vision on that side. She has adapted beautifully and goes about normal dog life—walking, playing, running, exploring, and enjoying her surroundings. In other words, Sneakers doesn't spend much time worrying about having one eye, and her future family shouldn't need to either. What Sneakers Needs From Her People Sneakers isn't a dog who immediately assumes every stranger is her new best friend. New people can make her nervous, and when she's uncomfortable, she may bark to ask for more space. She's considered reactive, but her foster has already seen significant progress through patient, positive exposure and allowing Sneakers to experience new people and environments at a pace that feels safe to her. What she needs isn't someone who expects her to love everyone immediately. She needs someone willing to earn her trust—and understand just how special it is once they have it. Sneakers tends to warm up to women more quickly and can take longer to become comfortable with men. Because she can be jumpy and is sensitive about her tail, a home with older children would be the best fit. She would also be happiest as the only pet in her home. She has shown nervousness around other dogs, and because of her prey drive, we're looking for a home without cats. Sneakers' Perfect Match Her ideal home doesn't need to be extraordinary. It just needs to be right for her. A quieter, structured household. Patient humans who understand that trust can take a little time. Plenty of walks and opportunities to explore. A sunny spot for lounging. A supply of stuffed animals and biscuits. And someone who wants the kind of relationship that comes from becoming a dog's safe person. Give Sneakers that, and she'll give you an incredible amount in return. After more than two years in rescue, Sneakers' adoption fee has been completely waived. Our priority isn't collecting an adoption fee—it's finally finding the person who sees in Sneakers what her foster family already sees every day: a sweet, loyal, intelligent dog who is ready to belong. She's been waiting since March 2024. Maybe she's been waiting for you. --------- Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown.
