Story
Meet Lobu! Lobu is a sweet, silly girl who came to us from a local shelter partner along with her eight adorable puppies. She has been an absolutely amazing mama and is just about finished raising her babies. Now it’s finally her turn to be spoiled and loved! Lobu would thrive in a home where she can cuddle on the couch, go for relaxing walks, and be treated like the princess she is. She’s both crate trained and potty trained, and she’ll politely let you know she needs to go outside with a couple of quick barks. She loves playtime—especially squeaky toys and good chew toys. They’re her favorites so far! She’s a wonderful size for just about any living situation, whether that’s an apartment or a house. While a fenced yard isn’t required, she would certainly enjoy having one. Because she’s been such a devoted mama, Lobu may need a little patience as she adjusts to being away from her puppies. She doesn’t love being separated from them, but everyone is ready to find their own forever families. With time, reassurance, and love, she will blossom. Lobu seems most comfortable with women but has done just fine with her foster dad. She hasn’t yet been around children, so that is still unknown. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who deserves to be cherished after raising her babies so beautifully, Lobu might be your perfect match. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. Story
Expected to stay small (around 10–18 lbs), Aaron is a playful little scruffy pup with a curious spirit and a heart full of love. Aaron is one of five adorable siblings rescued from the streets of Mexico and now thriving in foster care while they wait for their forever homes. Safe, healthy, and full of puppy joy, Aaron is discovering just how wonderful life can be when there are toys to chase, people to love, and cozy spots for naps. Aaron has an adorable scruffy terrier-style coat and a playful personality to match. He’s curious about everything around him and loves exploring his world alongside his siblings and foster family. Like most puppies his age, his days are filled with playtime, cuddles, learning new things, and plenty of well-earned naps. His foster family describes him as: Playful and full of puppy energy Curious and eager to explore Affectionate and people-oriented Always ready for a cuddle after playtime Aaron and his siblings are still young and learning about the world, so their future families should be ready for the fun (and occasional chaos!) that comes with raising a puppy. He’s currently working on important skills like potty training, manners, and routine, and will thrive with a family that can provide patience, consistency, and lots of love as he continues to grow. We expect Aaron to grow into a small dog, likely around 10–18 pounds when fully grown, making him a wonderful companion for many types of homes. If you're looking for a small dog with a playful spirit, an adorable scruffy face, and a lifetime of love to give, Aaron might be the perfect match for you. Story
Chicken Little Meet Chicken Little, A.K.A Chicky! Chicky is a young Maltese mix that is full of snuggles and loves playing with her people! Chicky is very motivated by food and in the short time she has been in a foster home, has learned how to sit, tell her humans when she has to go potty and responds well to gentle reminders and the word "no". When Chicky isn't playing with a toy or chewing her bones, she loves sitting on your lap or close by on a blanket. Chicky is currently in a home with a small dog and 2 cats. Chicky loves playing with other dogs and is very gentle. Chicky initially thought cats wanted to play with her too. However, with gentle reminders, she is also calm around cats and does well in the same house. Even though Chicky has a slightly deformed paw, it doesn't slow her down! She enjoys going going for short walks and even does well in a stroller for longer walks. She is crate trained at night and also does well sleeping with her favorite kids. If you are looking for a small, sweet Pup who is good with other dogs, kids and humans- Chicky is ready for her forever home! If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. From Sneaker's Foster mom: I have a never-ending list of wonderful things to say about Miss Sneakers! First and foremost, she is incredibly sweet and responds wonderfully to training. She’s not only treat-motivated, but also thrives on praise—which is so easy to give, because she’s truly a good girl. She’s completely potty trained and adapts well to both a house or apartment lifestyle. Sneakers already knows several commands: sit, lay down, off, wait, and—of course—“good girl.” She’s gentle with her toys and prefers stuffed animals over puzzle toys. Her favorite snacks are biscuits, bully sticks, and meat treats—though she’s not a fan of peanut butter. She gets plenty of exercise with 2–3 walks a day (plus some running!) to help burn off energy. Behavior & Socialization: Sneakers is considered reactive, meaning she gets nervous around new people and may bark to try and keep them away. But in the short time I’ve had her, she’s already shown amazing progress with consistent, positive exposure—especially in outdoor spaces like parks, where she can take things at her own pace. She simply needs time and patience to build trust. Once she does, she bonds deeply. ‍ Bonds quickly with women ‍ Slower to trust men Would do best in a home with older kids (she’s a little jumpy and sensitive about her tail) No cats due to prey drive (not officially tested) Best as the only dog—she’s shown nervous behavior around others Her Ideal Home: Sneakers needs a calm, structured home with patient humans who’ll give her space and support as she decompresses. Once she feels safe, she is the sweetest soul. She loves: Tummy rubs Hand-holding (yes, really!) Walks in the park Sunbathing Taking treats ever so gently She’s a total mama’s girl, and I know she’ll thrive in the right adoptive home—one that sees the loving, loyal dog she already is. Alfred, or “Alfie” for short, is a sweet chi mix whose little life didn’t get off to a great start and is still working on trusting his surroundings.  He loves to play with other dogs his own size and after a good romp will curl up in the same bed for naptime together.  While he is wary of new people, he is quickly learning that belly pets are kind of a great thing.  He has even learned that if he climbs the pet steps it leads to the foster’s comfy bed where he can snuggle right in! Due to his skittish temperament, it is recommended Alfie be placed in a home with children over the age of 10. A few facts about Alfie: His favorite game is tug. Bring it on! He LOVES to snuggle….with other dogs and in cozy places.  We think with time and patience, he will actually be a real snuggle bug! Alfie comes to you housetrained.  No accidents!  He will bark when excited but is not overly vocal. He really enjoys the companionship of other dogs and would be happiest in a household with another canine friend. While he isn’t afraid of a kennel, he is not considered kennel trained. Alfie has not been cat tested and his prey drive is unknown. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Clayton, oh Clayton. This little guy was completely shut down when we first got him. He’d just curl up in a ball in his little donut bed and disappear (I think that was the point!). But look at him now: His ears just stand straight out seeking attention. Someone come cuddle meeee! His main goal in life isn’t toys. It isn’t barking at the squirrels outside or people passing by. It’s snuggling right next to his person. And finding the best hoodie to wear for the day Clayton is a low-energy, affectionate companion who will make someone a very happy doggo owner. Because Clayton’s main goal in life is to achieve Best Snuggler status, it is recommended that Clayton go to a home with someone who is home and available to him or has another canine companion his size to keep him company. A few facts about Clayton: Clayton comes to you housetrained - no accidents! He will also use potty pads, if needed. It is unknown how Clayton behaves on a leash. Maybe you could try it out with him? Clayton doesn’t currently show any interest in toys. That is something that could develop down the road. Kennel training: He’s so low energy and so well behaved, there has been zero need to kennel this boy! Children and cats: He has not been exposed to children or cats, but thoughts are he would do fine with both.
